God-Tier Fishing System

Chapter 170

Large-scale teleportation formations were rare, found only in prosperous cities or sanctuaries where powerful forces gathered. They required not only immense spiritual energy to maintain but also a fortune in spiritual crystals for every single use, making them a luxury reserved for sects, empires, and ancient families.

Just as Ethan pondered his next move, Alicia's crisp voice resounded in his mind.

[Discovered a new fishing spot: Sun Moon Lake. Please reach it and activate it in time.]

[After activation, the upper limit of the task reward pool will increase, and a surprise prize will be granted for the first fishing!]

"Here we come!" Ethan said, his eyes lighting up with delight.

He scanned the map again, and found the fishing spot marked distinctly to the north of Mount Flaunt—it rested at the very edge of his currently revealed region. A small fishing rod icon gleamed there beside the label: **Sun Moon Lake**.

Next to it, a shining city symbol revealed a name—**Sun Moon City**.

Ethan frowned slightly, studying the vast distance. "I've opened the map this far, and still Noble Sun City doesn't show up? It must be an enormous distance away."

He sighed and chuckled. "Well, no matter. I'll head for Sun Moon Lake first. I can always reach Noble Sun City afterward."

His eyes traced the glowing pathways. Sun Moon City stood near the great lake, likely a grand hub bustling with cultivators. There, he might finally hear news about the Noble Sun City that hosted the Treasure Appraisal Conference.

The small town where he currently stayed was too sparse and remote. Even Nascent Soul cultivators were a rare sight here, and the little knowledge they offered was hardly worth the effort.

Opening his map again, he muttered, "This anchor point—so it connects only between fishing points, huh?"

The marked fishing points—such as Serene Mirror Lake and Echo Lake—were all within the domain of the Azure Origin Dao Sect.

Now, if he activated the Sun Moon Lake fishing spot, it would link to those other points, finally enabling cross-region teleportation.

It wasn't a perfect system, but it was undeniably convenient.

"At least this way, if I ever face something I can't defeat, I can flee to the nearest fishing point and teleport away," Ethan said softly, lips curling in satisfaction.

He memorized the path to Sun Moon Lake, stowed the map away, and stretched. "Alright… it's time."

Jumping out of the inn's window, he rose steadily into the air.

He avoided using his Phoenix Wings—not because they consumed spiritual stones, but because of their heavy toll on his vitality and mental energy.

They were meant for intense battles or desperate escapes. For mere travel, it was better to rely on his newly developed method—Air Control.

He gathered his essence and blood into a stable flow around him and propelled himself forward. The technique used minimal energy yet granted swift mobility.

When flown at full capacity, Air Control nearly matched the speed of the Phoenix Wings, though with higher consumption.

Transforming into a streak of crimson, Ethan glided low above the treetops, navigating the dense forests of Mount Flaunt like a red comet cutting through green waves.

"I wonder when the phoenix will finally hatch…" His gaze softened at the thought.

A genuine smile formed on his face as he checked on the egg inside his storage ring.

The once-faint heartbeat had grown distinct, echoing with vitality like an ancient drumbeat. The crimson egg now pulsed with radiant warmth. Its vitality filled the surrounding space, powerful and steady—a sign that birth was near.

"It shouldn't be long now," Ethan murmured, excitement flickering in his tone. "Soon, I'll have a true companion to fly with."

Traveling atop the phoenix—he could already imagine the freedom of gliding through the clouds.

.....

The **Sun Moon Lake**, Nestled within the northernmost reaches of Mount Flaunt, the area around Sun Moon Lake was rich with spiritual energy and life.

From afar, Ethan marveled at how vast the range truly was. The mountain stretched hundreds of miles, and the northern region was bustling with activity.

Gliding through the sky, he finally spotted a massive city on the horizon.

Sun Moon City loomed proudly, its towering pavilions glittering beneath the midday sun like jewels embedded in emerald earth.

"Looks like this must be Sun Moon City," Ethan noted, descending slightly. "There should definitely be a teleportation formation there."

Landing silently among the foothills, he noticed streams of people heading toward the city.

Cultivators filled the forests and valleys, forming a steady flow toward the gates. Most were low-level cultivators, though beams of light streaked periodically across the sky—higher-ranked cultivators traveling swiftly on spiritual weapons.

Checking his map again, Ethan determined that Sun Moon Lake lay hidden just beyond the city, nestled within a great valley.

Instead of entering Sun Moon City outright, he soared upward again and circled wide around, eventually reaching the northern cliffs overlooking the valley basin.

.....

The sight that greeted him stole his breath.

Beneath the mountain, the terrain opened into a colossal crater-like valley. The lush forest below stretched endlessly, cloaking elegant clusters of buildings that followed an ancient architectural pattern.

At its heart lay a magnificent lake, shimmering like twin jewels set within a crown.

One half glowed with the faint red hue of a sunset, the other glimmered in the palest silver of moonlight.

Two complementary energies coiled together across the surface, dancing in harmony—one blazing with yang, the other exuding yin's tranquil grace.

Ethan's expression turned solemn as he studied the phenomenon.

"So this is Sun Moon Lake…"

He exhaled softly. "Incredible—the energy truly contains both solar and lunar essence. Fiery yang mixed with tranquil yin... no wonder it's called Sun and Moon Lake."

He extended his sense outward, feeling the dense waves of spiritual power radiating from the water's surface.

"The spiritual energy here is extraordinary. For spiritual cultivators, it's a paradise—training here would double their progress. And for physical cultivators…"

He flexed his hand slowly. "The dual tempering of sun and moon energies could refine the body far beyond normal limits."

Yet his eyes glinted with intrigue. "Still, I can't gauge the true concentration of those energies from this distance."

Ethan descended partway down the valley for a closer look.

Upon arrival, he noticed the architectural harmony below. The surrounding buildings—constructed in uniform colors and shapes—belonged clearly to one powerful faction.

Scanning with his mental energy, he quickly detected the concealed networks of energy beneath the landscape.

"There are three formations protecting this valley… all low-tier heavenly-grade," Ethan murmured.

The Azure Origin Dao Sect's Demon Sealing Cave had only reached the level of a top-tier heavenly formation, while their sect-protective Origin Formation was merely mid-tier heavenly grade.

Even so, that alone had solidified their position as a dominant sect of the Skyreach Territory.

Ethan's eyes shone with interest.

He hovered silently, cross-armed, gazing toward the glowing valley below, recognition dawning in his mind.

Judging from the scale of the formation, Sun Moon Lake should belong to a certain force with considerable foundation.

Although it is not as good as the Azure Origin Dao Sect, it is not too bad.
