Chapter 126 (Inspiration capsule Extra chapter)
"It's been more than ten moves, you lose!" Ethan's voice was detached and cold, slicing through the air with factual finality.
He planted himself before Bram with the unyielding poise of a mountain, his eyes devoid of fear, unimpressed by dynastic pride or illustrious heritage.
Bram, battered yet stubborn, spat back, "Fart, I haven't lost yet!" Before the crowd could recover, he swept out his spear in a flash of golden light, unwilling to admit defeat, refusing to see the mark of his own loss.
Ethan's body bent low, posture almost mocking, and Azure flames flared to life in his palms—streaks of blue fire burning with a spiritual intensity that could melt steel and purify poisons.
With brutal precision, he struck upward. The elemental force crashed into Bram's Golden Dragon Spear, swallowing its power whole above all expectation.
Shock and disbelief swept Bram's face as Ethan stepped forward and seized his spear with both bare hands—no sign of pain, no injuries, only strength and contempt.
"How can it be?!" Bram gasped, face pale.
"He used his flesh and just physical body to receive my spear, but why was there no injury at all?!" The crowd fell silent, absorbed in the surreal spectacle.
Ethan snorted, then yanked the spear forward. Bram stumbled, wrenched closer by a force he could not defy.
Instantly, Ethan rotated his arms, and the Azure flames reflected power with water essence, flooding Bram along the weapon.
Seeing that even his prized spear was not enough, Bram retreated, palms letting go quickly.
The Azure flame morphed high above, blossoming into a blue Phoenix—the wings laced with blood-red lightning. The fiery bird let out a mythic screech, then dove straight at Bram with murder in its eyes.
Unfazed, Bram formed a seal, spiritual power roiling. "Golden Thunder Sea-turning Palm!" he called. An immense spiritual palm, lit with wild golden thunder, clashed headlong into Ethan's attack—a collision strong enough to annihilate a Tribulation Transcendence cultivator in the blast at its core.
The explosion rocked the square, shockwaves ripping in all directions. Elders and masters summoned energy shields, barely weathering the storm.
Seraphina, weakest of those present, almost buckled under the weight. The overwhelming force from either side left her halting, doubting if she could have lasted three moves against either Ethan or Bram.
The dust settled—through the fading golden haze,
Ethan's dark form surged forth, smashing the remnant palm with a single, violent swing. The palm burst, raining golden light like shattered stars.
Ethan moved with such speed that the very air quaked, wind howling in his wake.
Bram, refusing to yield, drew a line of blood across his brow and summoned another trump card, shouting, "Use my bloodline to call for thunder, endless golden thunder, and use my blood to attract it!"
"Inheritance Technique, Crazy Thunder Heavenly Prison!"
In response, the sky darkened with crackling clouds. Golden thunder pillars crashed down, tearing open the space, forming an electric cage around Ethan—snakes of lightning biting and snarling, the storm closing in from all sides.
Bram laughed, triumphant—or so he thought. "Hahaha, how will you deal with the inheritance technique from the royal family of the Vernal Dawn?"
But when his eyes searched for Ethan, all pride vanished; for a palm had settled upon his shoulder.
He spun wildly—Ethan had escaped the storm by using the Five Elements Escape Technique, evading Bram's trap with effortless grace.
"It's quite interesting, but unfortunately, it can't hit me," Ethan said, unimpressed, swatting away the legendary technique as if it were a bothersome fly.
Rage twisted Bram's features. "What are you pretending to be? Look at the fists!" His hands balled up, a storm brewing as he lunged forward, pouring all that remained into his next attack.
Ethan mirrored him—unflinching, uncowed, he too clenched his fist.
"Heavenly spiritual method, Greedy Wolf Swallows the Moon!"
A shadow of a gigantic wolf spun around Bram, spiritual energy converging till his reserves threatened exhaustion. For a brief second, a maelstrom of wind and roaring energy enveloped him.
Ethan responded simply, condensation of blood and essence swirling on his fist. No drama, no multicolored spectacle. Just a punch—plain, direct, deadly.
With a roar, Ethan's fists summoned a tiger's phantom—raw strength coming alive—swallowing Bram's attack in a single surge.
Bram's body was sent flying, spinning through the air like a broken puppet. On the ground, Ethan landed with a predatory grace, voice chilling: "You are so weak and dare to act so arrogantly in front of me. Today, I will destroy your hands and feet as a warning!"
Without mercy, Ethan launched a flying kick downward. With a gut-wrenching crunch, Bram's ribs and right arm shattered. Pain twisted his features, agony spilled from his lips and, hidden deep within, a shadowy mental imprint wormed into Bram's mind.
Bram collapsed, vomiting blood; the ground cracked beneath him.
Ethan strode up, stepping hard on Bram's broken arm—dominance and disdain without a flicker of hesitation.
Mr. Willow snarled, launching forward to intervene; but Lyralei, swift as starlight, blocked him, her own power surging to check his offense.
At that instant, a golden dragon erupted from Bram's mangled body—luck and destiny manifest, defending him with celestial power.
Ethan stepped back, eyes narrowing, reading the legacy power of a superdynasty prince whose fortune even the borders of his dynasty couldn't contain.
But it mattered little. The golden dragon would never attack, only shield.
Ethan's mission was nearly complete—Bram, broken and humiliated, was crippled for the near future; reckoning with pain that would not heal quickly, even with dynasty privilege.
Roaring in pain, Bram spat out blood as Ethan stood tall.
"Lyralei, does your Azure Origin Dao Sect want to start a war with our Vernal Dawn?!"
Lyralei met his wrath with an elegant sneer, disdain clear on her lips. "Haha, I'm afraid that a sixth prince cannot represent the Great Vernal Dawn Dynasty."
