Chapter 206: Enemies From The East [3]
Crane froze. It took a few moments for his brain to process everything and realize that the red-haired man, who was about to complete his first class advancement, was challenging him.
Challenging him, who was already level 70?
"Hahahaha, brat, are you new here? Not even that scum Kairos would talk to me like that." Crane laughed, though the anger hidden in his laugh went unnoticed.
However, Gabriel didn't respond, his hands clasped behind his back.
Irritation flashed across Crane's eyes. There was something about the confidence this person exuded that rubbed him the wrong way.
"See, let's make this easy for both of us," Crane suddenly suggested. "Hand over your women, food, weapons, and some strong men, then maybe... just maybe we won't pluck out your limbs one after the other."
"Tsk, another butcher," Ragnarok99 muttered under his breath.
BrawlerX made a hand signal, offering a silent prayer for Crane.
Sniperbowlegend clenched his bow, eyes locked on Crane's forehead, ready to launch.
Crane sensed that his life was in danger and raised his head, staring directly at the archer.
He chuckled. "If that could kill me, I wouldn't have survived this long out here in the wilderness. You'll have to do better."
"How about this," Gabriel said, his hands slowly moving. "Leave your trucks and weapons, and I'll just break a couple of your limbs. Or fight, and I'll do worse. Just know—whatever choice you make, you'll be hurt. But you can reduce the pain, making your death swift."
Crane's eyes twitched. What sort of threat was this? Whichever one he chose, he would be hurt. What made this red-haired bastard think he would accept either option?
"You little bastard!" Crane cursed loudly as he raised a hand and ordered, "Kill him!"
The armored militants didn't hesitate and unleashed a storm of bullets on the enemy.
BANG!
"Guard Rob!" A transparent barrier surrounded Gabriel, deflecting all the bullets. They struck the ground and ricocheted harmlessly.
[Bull Rush Activated!]
In the blink of an eye, Gabriel vanished from where he stood. Dust exploded from the ground as his body rocketed forward like a raging beast. The first three militants didn't even have time to scream before they were sent flying.
When they landed, they were already dead. The eyes of Crane's men widened in shock.
On the walls, the others had yet to make a move. When they saw this, they all gasped.
"W-what speed is that?!" Ragnarok99's jaw dropped.
"It's like… he teleported!" BrawlerX's voice shook with awe.
Crane's men panicked, trying to reform their line, but Gabriel was already among them. He swung his fist once—just once—and the impact created a shockwave that knocked a cluster of them off their feet.
BANG!
One man's chest caved in instantly, while the others screamed as they were hurled across the dirt like ragdolls.
"Impossible!" Crane roared, veins bulging across his scarred face.
Gabriel didn't even look at him. He was saving him for last.
One of them swung a sword. Gabriel tilted his head slightly, letting the blade whistle past, then pressed his hand to the man's chest.
[Decay Touch Activated!]
Because the swordsman was weak, decay was highly effective. He turned to dust within seconds.
The rest froze, their blood running cold.
"Monster…" someone whispered.
Gabriel's electric eyes glowed faintly in the dark as he stepped forward, unhurriedly.
"Idiots, stop shaking! He's just one man!" Crane barked, trying to convince not only his men but himself as well.
Gabriel's presence was that of a crushing mountain. Even without releasing a shred of aura, he made them feel like prey.
A militant aimed his crude mana gun. Gabriel's hand shot out, gripping the weapon's barrel. With one squeeze, the entire cannon bent like clay.
"Holy strength!" the militant exclaimed. He tried to get away, but Gabriel smashed the bent mana gun back into his gut, killing him instantly.
"Run!" someone finally screamed.
But Gabriel burned through his mana points, activating Bull Rush again, and became a living storm, eliminating anyone in his path.
On the wall, the refugees who had been trembling moments ago now stared in stunned silence. The same whispers that had been filled with fear slowly turned to awe.
"Sir Broken…"
"He's… he's really a monster…"
"No—he's our monster."
Crane finally couldn't hold back anymore. His red coat flapped as he strode forward, his face twisting with rage. "You think I'm afraid of you?! You're just another thug hiding behind tricks!"
He clenched his fists, a strange aura wrapping around his body. His muscles bulged, veins pulsing violently, and with a roar, he charged straight at Gabriel.
Gabriel kicked the ground and met him head-on in the middle. Both swung their fists at the same time!
BOOM!
The ground cracked open, sending dirt flying. The force of their clash echoed like thunder.
But it was Crane whose arm trembled first. His bones cracked, knuckles split open, blood dripping onto the dirt.
Gabriel looked disappointed at Crane's strength.
"Pathetic," he cursed.
Gabriel twisted his body and unleashed another punch, this time slamming directly into Crane's gut. The man's eyes bulged as saliva and blood sprayed from his mouth. His body folded around Gabriel's fist before being launched backward, smashing into the side of his own armored truck.
BANG! The steel dented inward with a shriek. Crane slid to the ground, coughing violently, his red coat now soaked with blood.
His men stared in horror, their bodies shaking uncontrollably. Their leader—the man they thought invincible—was reduced to a bleeding mess with just two strikes.
Just two strikes!
Gabriel walked toward Crane with slow, deliberate steps.
Crane forced himself up, teeth grinding.
"I won't lose to a nobody!" he roared, ripping a glowing crystal from his belt and crushing it. His body surged with unnatural strength, veins glowing faintly as his aura spiked through the roof.
