Chapter 261: Keith's Plans For Clark
Miya barely went down a meter when she stopped mid-air. She flew back up to Keith's lap thanks to his control over his spatial dimension.
"Let's continue the story, okay?" he said as he made the book float in front of him and Miya nodded in response.
A few hours later, a system screen popped out in front of him and Keith stopped with his blood extraction.
Both his and everyone else's arms healed back to normal and he untied the cloth around Miya's head before bringing her down. While he did this, he sent a message to Amelia and the other two so that they would also start the final process.
A simple spark was enough to light the oil on fire and Keith flew up into the sky to keep an eye on Miya. But he didn't have to worry as the child sat in the middle obediently without moving.
Keith also kept an eye on Amelia's second awakening, but just ten minutes later, he saw a huge beam of light shoot upwards from below him. Three seconds passed and the beam dispersed but Miya had a strong green glow around her body.
'Hey what's going on? Wait… a mutation?'
[That's an evolution, not mutation. Mutation of Awakened abilities only happens when you use the blood of beasts and monsters. Both evolution and mutation are the same thing, but since I didn't really write about evolution in the book, you don't know about it.]
[Well, they're technically the same thing. Once there's enough resources to fuel the ritual, anyone can undergo an evolution or mutation of their awakened abilities. The only different between them is-]
"Is that mutation requires the blood of non-humans while evolution needs the blood of humans basically."
[Right, but evolution is technically better than mutation since mutation can corrupt the mind or body of the person. Maybe even both but since it's your spatial dimension, you can easily stop that from happening. If you were doing this outside, you would have to use the luck ritual to get the best results.]
'Yeah, I know…' Keith thought as he had already taken precautions for Amelia. But he hadn't done anything of sorts for Miya so now, he was worried.
Sensing his emotions, Emma went ahead and gave him a bit of support.
[Don't worry about Miya. Both you and Fabian willingly gave your blood for the sake of her awakening so there are no negative emotions involved here. And if there are no negative emotions, then her soul will not be corrupted.]
[As for her body, it'll simply get strengthened to an unbelievable extent since both you and Fabian have SSS grade physiques and well… Fabian also has really pure blood that could literally be used as an elixir by normal humans.]
'So she'll be alright… I'm so fucking glad.'
[Yeah, but since she's reached her bottleneck, she's going to awaken early just like you did.]
'Yeah, that's fine. Now we just wait I guess…'
*********
Thousands of Kilometers away from Kazak Empire in a different continent, creature with a human face and a skeleton body sat on the ground.
A black armored knight walked towards him and said, "Master Keith, we've lost connection to one of our Death Knights."
Keith's eyelids opened, but he couldn't move his neck so he frowned, "Kneel."
The knight immediately knelt down and Keith could now see it's face, or in a literal sense, it's helmet.
"What about the Giant Skeleton that I sent with the knight?"
"Same thing master." the knight said, but a small skeleton ran over from behind him before squeaking, "Master, he did not die but simply just disappeared. I did lose connection but I can tell if they died or if the connection simply got cut off."
Keith stared at his two undeads and grit his teeth, "So the mission failed… I killed that old bastard once, but that was only because he was the last one left alive on the continent. Even with that, it took me months to find him. Tch."
He took a few deep breaths and calmed down, "If he escaped our sudden attack, then he'll be way more cautious from now on and it's almost impossible to find him. I guess I simply have to ignore his existence now and focus on the next step of my plan…"
The knight looked up at Keith and saw his right chin slowly melting from the rest of the face, but didn't dare say it out loud. It knew that it's life was completely in Keith's hands and that the man in front of it saw value in just quality and numbers for his own use.
'He can just erase my existence and create a new Death Knight General…' it thought to it self, but the skeleton beside it couldn't keep it's mouth shut.
"Master, your face is falling!!" it exclaimed as it pointed it small bony finger at his face, "You should just embrace your status as a Grand Lich and accept the fact that the skull is your actual face."
Keith glared at the small skeleton, but didn't say anything for five whole seconds.
'Oh well, time for a new leader for the giant skeletons.' the death knight general thought as he saw Keith's expression.
As one of the only two undeads that stayed with Keith for more than five years, it knew of Keith's mentality, his insecurities, strengths and also his flaws.
Keith's eyes glowed with a deep shade of purple as the falling cheek went back to it's flawless state. Then his lips parted, "Begone."
In an instant, the skeleton turned into a pile of white powder and Keith chuckled, "This thing dares to tell me to throw away such an handsome face? Never! Tell me knight, is my face better or is a bland skull better?"
The knight looked up from the ground once again and confidently spoke, "Master, you're the most handsome man I've ever seen. Your face trumps against all and can woo any woman."
"Right! And that thing wanted me to just throw it away? Hah!" he said before spitting on the ground, "Anyways, back to our plans… since I managed to recover my face, it's time to move on to erecting the tower."
"The preparations are complete, master." the knight said and Keith smiled, "That's why I like you, Boraga. Always getting things done…"
Keith then retched once, "Uurk- ugh. Once more…" he muttered and put a bit more effort.
This time, a bright red orb fell out of his mouth and rolled toward the knight.
"Where's Balmond?" Keith asked as he watched his Knight gently pick up the orb.
"He's currently imprisoned and we've drained him of all his energy so he's currently no different than a human with super strength."
Keith hummed and then grinned, "Hmm… nice hehe. Turn that bitch into a zombie but before that, take my soul and tell Helena to swallow it. Then…"
The knight silently listened to his orders and then nodded, "Will do, master. Please wait for the good news."
"Go. And tell that spider bitch to meet me now. I can't move on my own but they can't stop me from sending my army out there. Oh yeah, pick a new king for the giant skells and tell it to come here too. I'll need both of these dogs of mine to distract my enemies while the others set up the tower."
Boraga nodded, "As you wish master." he said and stood up before walking out of the small cave.
Keith silently watched as his knight left the cave while his thoughts wandered, 'That damn Snow… this universe's snow is a bitch who I can't control and on top of that… she sealed my bitch too.'
He then let out a soft sigh before smirking, 'Well, it's fine. I was never really attached to her anyways. She was just a means to get strong and she served me well. Time to kidnap the cursed princess of Morose Kingdom now.
She killed herself in my universe but this time, I'll make sure my plan works well. Then no one is going to stop me from getting a taste of her.' he thought before laughing hysterically.
"-ahahahaahaaa haaa! Once I win this battle against this universe's Keith, I'll rewrite the truth to make myself look like a hero. After all, history has shown that victors are mostly considered as the good guys, until the truth is unraveled. And that is not going to happen since I'm basically immortal, hehehehe."
Then, he focused on the area near his neck and a dark purple smoke began to get emitted from the open flesh. Extremely thin strands of muscle and flesh began to move about as they slowly weaved in and out in an attempt to make a new body.
While this happened, Keith looked at the cave's mouth to see his army moving around as they carried huge bricks and stones.
'Once the tower is complete… no one is going to stop me from taking over that continent. And once that's done, I'll stabilize the whole continent to worship me as their god and then…. And then it's time to conquer the whole planet.
Unlike last time, I won't move personally and use the people to do my work instead. This way… there won't be as much destruction as before.' he thought and smiled as he imagined himself as the grand emperor of the entire planet.
'I failed with Zax but I still have Clark. I'll turn him into my pawn just like that pig Balmond.'
