GOD OF SYSTEMS: BECOMING RICHEST MAN IN THE WORLD

Chapter 10: The Chen Family's Desperation

The Chen Family was in chaos.

Chen Rong sat at the head of the long, dimly lit conference table, surrounded by his most trusted subordinates. The air was thick with tension, and the scent of expensive cigars and tea lingered in the room. Despite the luxurious setting, the expressions of those present were grim.

The recent attacks on their business empire had come too fast and too precise. It was as if Su Chen had been waiting for them to make a move just so he could crush them at the perfect moment.

Chen Rong slammed his fist onto the table, causing a few documents to scatter. "Who is leaking our plans?!"

A nervous-looking middle-aged man, Chen Wei, the family's business strategist, wiped the sweat from his forehead. "Patriarch, it's not that someone is leaking our plans—it's that Su Chen anticipated every move before we even made it!"

"That's impossible!" snarled Chen Li, one of the family's martial elders. "Even if Su Chen is powerful, he cannot predict the future!"

"Then explain how our suppliers cut ties all at once! How our allies are suddenly facing internal conflicts? And why the government has frozen key projects?" Chen Wei retorted, his voice cracking in frustration. "This isn't coincidence! This is Su Chen's power—he dismantles us without even needing to attack directly!"

The room fell into an uneasy silence.

Chen Rong gritted his teeth, his mind racing. The Chen Family had survived generations of power struggles, yet never had they faced an enemy like Su Chen. He was unstoppable, untouchable, and ruthless.

And worst of all—he hadn't even acknowledged them yet.

To Su Chen, they weren't even worth dealing with personally.

That realization sent a wave of humiliation through the room.

"What are our options?" Chen Rong asked, his voice calmer but colder.

Chen Wei hesitated. "We can still salvage our businesses, but we need outside help. If we can form an alliance with someone Su Chen hasn't accounted for, we might stand a chance."

Chen Rong's eyes narrowed. "Who do you have in mind?"

Chen Wei took a deep breath. "The Zhao Family."

A murmur of uncertainty spread through the room.

The Zhao Family was one of the few remaining powerhouse clans that had yet to take sides in the power struggle. Their wealth and influence rivaled even the Tianlong Family, but they had remained neutral, watching from the shadows.

"If we can convince the Zhao Family to back us, we'll have a fighting chance," Chen Wei continued. "They have the resources and political connections to counter Su Chen's influence. It's our only option."

Chen Rong was silent for a moment before nodding. "Set up a meeting with Zhao Tian. Let's see if he's interested in bringing Su Chen down."

Su Chen's Next Move

Meanwhile, at Tianlong Estate, Su Chen was already one step ahead.

Standing on the terrace of his private residence, he gazed out at the city skyline, his mind as sharp as ever. The morning breeze ruffled his perfectly tailored suit, and beside him, Ye Meng was casually sipping coffee.

"They're going to approach the Zhao Family," Ye Meng said, her tone amused.

Su Chen chuckled. "Of course they are. It's their only option."

"And?" She tilted her head. "Are you going to stop them?"

Su Chen smirked. "No need. Zhao Tian isn't a fool. He knows siding against me is a losing battle. The only reason he's even entertaining them is to see what he can gain from their desperation."

Ye Meng tapped her fingers against the cup. "So, what's the plan?"

Su Chen turned to her, his gaze calm yet commanding. "Let them negotiate. Let them believe they have a chance. And then… I'll make Zhao Tian an offer he can't refuse."

The Meeting with the Zhao Family

Two days later, in a private high-rise overlooking the business district, Chen Rong and Zhao Tian sat across from each other in an extravagant lounge. The atmosphere was polite but heavy with unspoken tension.

Zhao Tian, the patriarch of the Zhao Family, was a shrewd and calculating man in his early fifties. His expression remained unreadable as he listened to Chen Rong's proposal.

"You want my family to side against Su Chen?" Zhao Tian finally said, swirling his glass of aged whiskey. "That's a dangerous request, Chen Rong."

Chen Rong forced a confident smile. "It's an opportunity. If we work together, we can dismantle Su Chen's power and claim control over the business world. Once we weaken him, his empire will crumble."

Zhao Tian smirked. "That's a bold assumption. What makes you think I'd bet against him?"

Chen Wei quickly interjected, "Because Su Chen isn't invincible. He's strong, yes, but even he has weaknesses. If we strike at the right moment, we can—"

A loud ding interrupted him.

Zhao Tian glanced at his phone, and his smirk widened. He turned the screen toward the Chen Family members, and their faces turned pale.

It was a message from Su Chen himself.

[Zhao Tian, before you make a decision, meet me for a private conversation. Let's discuss your future. – Su Chen]

Chen Rong's heart sank.

Su Chen already knew.

And worse—Zhao Tian hadn't even responded yet, but Su Chen was already treating the outcome as inevitable.

Zhao Tian chuckled, setting his glass down. "It seems Su Chen is already expecting me. Gentlemen, I appreciate your offer, but I think I'll hear what he has to say first."

Chen Rong gritted his teeth, but he could do nothing.

Su Chen had just flipped the entire game in a single move—and he hadn't even arrived yet.

The Power of Absolute Control

That evening, at an exclusive private club, Su Chen sat alone in a VIP lounge, waiting for Zhao Tian to arrive. The air was thick with anticipation, and even the most powerful men in the city dared not approach his table.

When Zhao Tian finally entered, he found Su Chen casually sipping wine, his demeanor relaxed yet powerful.

"Zhao Tian," Su Chen greeted with a small smirk. "I hear the Chen Family made you an offer."

Zhao Tian took a seat across from him, his expression neutral. "You hear everything, don't you?"

Su Chen chuckled. "Only the things that matter."

Zhao Tian leaned forward. "Then tell me—what do you have to offer that's better than what the Chens promised?"

Su Chen met his gaze with absolute confidence. "Simple. I offer survival."

Zhao Tian's fingers tightened around his glass.

Su Chen continued, his tone calm yet commanding. "The Chen Family is already finished. Even if you help them, they'll only drag you down with them. But if you side with me… you won't just survive. You'll thrive."

Silence hung in the air for a moment.

Then, Zhao Tian laughed, shaking his head. "You really are something else, Su Chen."

He extended his hand. "Very well. I'd rather be on the winning side."

Su Chen smirked, shaking his hand. "A wise choice."

At that moment, the final nail was hammered into the Chen Family's coffin.

They had lost.

And Su Chen hadn't even needed to lift a finger.
