Chapter 352: Daoist Mortar

Chen Guan cautiously took out the elixir and stuffed it into his mouth, his eyes constantly fixed on Fu Tianji.

Fortunately, as long as he didn't run away, Fu Tianji wouldn't attack him; he just stood there, staring intently at him.

"It seems that there's not much consciousness left in Fu Tianji. If I wait a little longer, he might completely forget the grudge between us," Chen Guan muttered in his heart as he took the medicine.

The wounds on his body were partly healing due to the elixir, but some just wouldn't heal and kept bleeding.

Although the bleeding wasn't fast due to the Azure Heaven Dominating Body, continuous bleeding with wounds that didn't heal wasn't a solution.

Chen Guan checked and found that the unhealable wounds were all caused by the Secret God's Tooth.

The injuries inflicted by the Profound Iron Mace and the Purple Gold Gourd Hammer, although severe, didn't affect healing.

Chen Guan's body had multiple bone fractures, and he relied on the Azure Heaven Dominating Body to move freely; if it were someone else, they wouldn't be able to move at all.

"That Secret God's Tooth, I don't know from which type of secret creature it comes from, but the wounds it caused can't heal, which is troublesome." Chen Guan tried several medicines, but none worked on those wounds.

He could only grit his teeth, draw the Miaoshu Sword, and shave off a layer of flesh from both sides of the wound.

At the parts where the bones were injured, Chen Guan painstakingly scraped off a layer of bone powder.

This method turned out to be effective. The wounds with a layer of flesh removed gradually stopped bleeding after being re-medicated.

However, this method was extremely painful, and since Chen Guan didn't have any anesthetics, he hadn't anticipated being injured so severely.

With Infinite Divine Armor and the Azure Heaven Dominating Body, along with the Pure Yang Sword Immortal, there were few who could injure him like this at the same level.

In this battle, the Infinite Divine Armor was almost destroyed, full of cracks and dents, akin to a tattered rag hanging on his body; it was uncertain if it could be repaired.

Chen Guan bit down on a piece of cloth to handle the wounds bit by bit, the excruciating pain causing cold sweat to drip continuously from his forehead, his face growing increasingly pale, eventually turning bloodless white not from severe blood loss, but from pain.

Fortunately, he finally managed to handle all the wounds, and after applying medicine, the bleeding significantly improved.

Chen Guan panted in exhaustion, feeling as if he had experienced a glimpse of hell during that half-hour.

Throughout the process, Fu Tianji merely stared blankly at him without making any moves.

Chen Guan looked around; he was still in a mountainous area, surrounded by undulating mountain ridges, unsure of which part of the Dragon Tiger Mountain Secret Realm he was in, and didn't discover any Secret Spirits.

"Let's see who can outlast whom," Chen Guan decided to recover here, planning to leave after Fu Tianji completely forgot about him.

Only now did he have time to examine the Treasure Basin he had just contracted, wanting to see what kind of Secret Treasure it really was.

This was a world-shaking Secret Treasure capable of subduing the Dragon and Tiger Mountains, even if he couldn't currently use it at his level, it was good to at least take a look.

Moreover, Yang Hu and Fu Tianji had already verified that this Secret Treasure could be used without activation. Even if only part of its functions could be used, it was already remarkable.

Of course, the life-consuming cloning function, Chen Guan didn't intend to use, but it wouldn't stop him from using it in the future.

He didn't currently have enough lifespan, but there might be methods to increase it.

Like Fu Tianji, his Undying Evil King Secret Collection allowed him to possess an Undying Body. Then using the Treasure Basin's cloning function wouldn't be an issue.

But alas, the Undying Evil King's flaw was too severe. Fu Tianji hadn't used the Undying Evil King's Inner Core Third Awakening before, surely because of this; he couldn't solve the Undying Evil King's flaw.

Chen Guan glanced at Fu Tianji, who looked robotic; although he seemed pitiful now, if he weren't the one enduring it, it would be Chen Guan, so he didn't feel anything wrong.

Daoist Mortar (Incomplete): ???.

Special State: Non-mandatory incomplete free contract state, contract effectiveness can be severed at any time based on mutual consent, no binding force.

Chen Guan was filled with question marks; this thing wasn't actually called a Treasure Basin, nor was it even a basin, but rather a mortar.

This mortar was initially used for processing grains, later also used for grinding herbs, which is why it's called a medicine grinding mortar.

Later, it became a common household item, used primarily for grinding garlic, hence the name garlic mortar.

The kind used for garlic is relatively small; this one was larger, so it wasn't a culinary tool.

The key issue was that all the information about the Daoist Mortar was unknown; its grade and level were all mysteries.

Moreover, it turned out to be incomplete.

Incomplete as it was, Chen Guan found that the contract he made with it surprisingly had no binding force at all, and the Daoist Mortar could rebel at any time, which was disconcerting.

"Ming Fei, what's the meaning of this?" Chen Guan communicated with Ming Fei mentally.

Ming Fei, seemingly expecting Chen Guan's inquiry, immediately responded, "Didn't I tell you before? My contract method is called the Joyful Blood Contract Technique, as the name suggests, you make the contract if you like it, and you can break it when you're pleased. It has no binding force."

"Then what's the use of this contract?" Chen Guan frowned.

"If it's willing to follow you, doesn't that show its usefulness?" Ming Fei retorted, somewhat unhappily.

Thinking about it, Chen Guan realized the logic; without this contract, he couldn't have taken the Daoist Mortar away.

Though it lacked binding force, the Daoist Mortar was indeed with him for now, which was an achievement in itself.

"I'll give you credit for this," Chen Guan reassured Ming Fei, attempting to establish a mental connection with the Daoist Mortar to see if he could use it.

While the contractual relationship was fragile and devoid of binding force, the Daoist Mortar was temporarily his; he might as well utilize it rather than let it idle. The Chen Family didn't harbor idle people, nor did it harbor idle treasures for free.

Chen Guan easily established contact with the Daoist Mortar, and the next moment, he suddenly felt the world spinning. When his consciousness recovered, he found himself beneath a starry sky.

No, perhaps it should be said above the starry sky.

Not quite, it seemed as if, except for the very small Suspended Island beneath his feet, there were stars twinkling in all directions, up and down.

This tiny island floating amidst the stars was only as large as the courtyard of his family home, and there was nothing on it.

No buildings, no animals, not even a single plant—just a patch of yellow mud land.
