Chapter 229: Trouble Caused by Talent
Taking the Spirit King Ship out of the Yellow Springs River, Chen Guan gave the Inner Core to little Qinghua, but was worried she couldn't protect it, so in the end, he directly escorted her back to Holy Lamp Mountain.
This time he wasn't afraid of anyone knowing his whereabouts. After leaving the Secret Realm, Chen Guan bought a plane ticket, thinking to quickly take little Qinghua back.
It wouldn't take much time anyway. Chen Guan bought economy class, and after the two sat down, behind them was an old lady with a little boy around four or five years old.
The little boy was sitting directly behind little Qinghua, and as soon as he sat down, he kept kicking little Qinghua's seatback.
"Ma'am, please don't let your child kick the seatback." Little Qinghua stood up and said to the old lady.
"He's just a kid. He's at that age where he's active and can't be controlled. He's just kicking the seatback; he's not kicking you. Why do you meddle in other people's business?" The old lady glanced at little Qinghua, smiling insincerely.
The brat, seeing the old lady protecting him, kicked even more vigorously. He kicked while looking at little Qinghua, raising his eyebrows and smiling, clearly provoking her on purpose.
Chen Guan was about to stand up to say something for little Qinghua, but she sat down and pulled him back: "Forget it."
Chen Guan thought about it and didn't say anything, as it wasn't worth getting angry with such people. He planned to have the flight attendant handle it later.
The brat was still kicking intermittently, even putting his foot on the seatback and pushing forcefully.
When Chen Guan couldn't take it anymore and stood up ready to call the flight attendant over, he saw the brat lying on the chair, both legs pushing against the seatback in front, his whole body was horizontal.
Just as he was about to call the flight attendant, the brat's foot slipped and he fell sideways unexpectedly.
Chen Guan heard a thud and then saw the brat clutching his head and crying out loud.
The old lady hurried over to pick up the brat, checking his injury while hitting the floor saying, "Make it hit my baby... make it hit my baby... kill it..."
Chen Guan saw a lump the size of an egg on the brat's head and felt delighted, thinking, "Deserved."
Such a commotion, it quickly attracted the flight attendant. As soon as she arrived, the old lady started accusing, "What's wrong with your plane seats, look how my grandson fell."
"Your precious grandson was being unruly, kicking and twisting there, almost flying to the sky; how can you blame the seat?" Chen Guan spoke up for the flight attendant.
"What's it to you, smarty-pants? Kids have good balance, like cats, and won't fall. If his chair weren't faulty, how could he hit his head?" the old lady retorted furiously.
The surrounding passengers couldn't take it anymore and began to criticize the old lady and the brat.
"What kid this age isn't active; it's you making a big deal out of nothing." The old lady didn't dare to argue with so many people, her tone weakened.
The flight attendant brought the first aid kit to treat the brat's injury, but the brat started hitting and scolding, even hitting the flight attendant's face, scaring her into stepping back.
"Can't even coax a child, how are you a flight attendant?" The old lady snatched the medicine from the flight attendant and applied it to the brat herself.
The brat was unruly, hitting the old lady's face with his hands, making loud slapping sounds as she applied the medicine.
The old lady endured it, saying, "Baby don't cry... Baby doesn't hurt... Grandma's at fault... Hit Grandma..."
Seeing this, Chen Guan thought, "That's not wrong at all; truly deserves a beating."
No need to say anything to such oddballs; Chen Guan sat down and shared some snacks he bought with little Qinghua.
The brat finally stopped crying. After the wound was treated, the flight attendant left with the first aid kit.
Not even two minutes later, the brat started acting up again, running wildly in the aisle.
The flight attendant had to pull him back, telling the old lady to take him to his seat before the plane prepared to take off.
"Why so much fuss!" The old lady grumbled, taking the brat back.
As the brat passed by little Qinghua, he saw the snacks on her lap, suddenly reached out silently, and grabbed them, causing the whole bag to fall on the floor.
"What are you doing?" little Qinghua was a bit annoyed.
"Why are you yelling; it's just some snacks? They fell but they're not dirty, you can still eat them, why shout?" the old lady glanced at the snacks on the floor, pouted, and continued drinking a cup of hot water she got on the plane.
The flight attendant, who followed them, crouched down to pick them up. The brat, holding a piece, was munching and giggling.
Chen Guan's patience was nearing its limit; he wasn't one to spare the elderly and the young.
Bam!
The brat ran over and hugged the old lady's leg, just as she was drinking water. Although it was only fifty degrees, the brat's force was too strong, causing the old lady to stagger backward, spilling the hot water all over the brat's head and face, making him scream from the burn.
The old lady's head hit the armrest beside her, then she crashed onto the other side's armrest, then finally fell to the ground.
As she fell, her foot kicked the brat screaming with his face covered, knocking him down face-first.
The old lady almost passed out from the fall. Hearing the brat's screams and cries, she managed to pick herself up and rushed over to him.
But her head was dizzy, stumbling, her left foot tripped her right, sending her forward, stepping over the brat.
The brat being so tiny, she lost control, stepping heavily, resulting in a pitiful shriek and then silence, just quiet groans, body curling up.
The old lady, tripped by the brat's body, fell face-first onto the floor, not getting up this time.
Everyone in the cabin was stunned, and the flight attendant quickly called for assistance.
Fortunately, the plane hadn't taken off yet, and not all passengers had boarded.
The pair, bruised and battered, unconscious, were swiftly carried off the plane.
Watching them being carried away, Chen Guan sat down with a curious look at little Qinghua.
Those two were too exaggerated; normally, they wouldn't fall so disastrously.
Moreover, both incidents happened right after they bullied little Qinghua, which was too coincidental.
"Did you do that?" Chen Guan quietly asked little Qinghua. He hadn't seen her use any tricks, but it seemed too coincidental to be real.
If little Qinghua had indeed done it, Chen Guan would only feel satisfied and praise her.
Little Qinghua quickly shook her head, "I didn't..."
But her expression was odd; seeing it, Chen Guan knew something was up.
Little Qinghua wasn't good at lying; after a pause, she hesitantly said softly, "Can't say it's entirely unrelated, might be due to my Lifebound Talent's influence."
"What's your Lifebound Talent?" Chen Guan asked curiously.
"The Stingy Flayer." Little Qinghua hesitated for quite a while before finally revealing her talent's name.
