God of Money: Reincarnated as the Weakest SSS Rank

Chapter 98: Dungeon Completed

At that instant, the blood emanating from the Grimoire began to transfer to the Ancient Vampire's body, and the pages of the Grimoire flipped over until they opened to a page.

In some ancient language, which, oddly enough, Louis could understand, it read:

"Blessed is your Vampire Blood and Blessed are your hands for touching the Sanctity of the Bloody Grimoire. You are a match. Be strong and you will achieve your goals.

Unlocked Magics: Bloody Pillar. Bloody Wave. Bloody Explosion. Ability to create Vampires with your blood.

You have been blessed with life through blood."

No one could describe in words the happiness that radiated from the Ancient Vampire's face at that moment. But he was able to rise strong once again. He clutched the Grimoire in his hands and then stared at the cube in front of him for a long time.

After getting lost in his own thoughts, he brought forth magic from the grimoire and grabbed the cube with it.

"I will protect you with my life, until the time is right." After that, he turned around and took the two treasures with him.

After descending from the mountain, as he passed by, the blood-filled corpses that were lying all over the place underwent transformations.

Each and every one of them slowly rose up, their bodies undergoing transformations, until they became what Louis and Laura could recognize.

Little Vampires.

The Ancient Vampire looked at them with some surprise and smiled.

"Our Empire was destroyed long ago. Fortunately, there are still remnants. The glorious government we once had, where all races and languages were united in one nationality, will one day come back to life. Our God will make it happen. Sooner or later. The future will come."

After those words, he kept walking until much later, when he stopped. Suddenly, he looked back and fixed his attention on an exact point.

Confused, he felt pitiful and regretful. Looking off into the distance, right into Louis' eyes, he seemed to feel more and more regretful.

After that, the vision dimmed for both of them, and they returned to reality

That destroyed room was back in focus. Finally, the cube ended up in Louis' hands.

He frowned.

'Did he look at me?' he thought.

At the end, that felt like an intense look of reproach and regret.

But that story looked fascinating, gripping, and mysterious.

The Cube had those memories etched in it, but what exactly was the Cube?

He looked at Laura, who was confused, too.

"Did you see that?" she asked.

He nodded. "The story of how that vampire ended up with the grimoire and this cube, right?"

"Yes. That place..." She frowned, as if trying to remember where she'd seen it. "I feel like I've seen it before."

But she couldn't remember it. Several things told her she had seen it, but her mind failed to connect the dots in favor.

She ended up sighing. "I don't remember."

Louis stared at her for a moment before nodding.

"If you've seen it before, you'll probably remember it. I'd like to go to that place later." He spoke.

Then he pulled out the keys and thought about using them.

"If I use them, would it take us straight to the 11th Floor?" He asked.

She nodded. "Knowing the exact time it will take us is impossible. Sometimes, it hands us a Floor Pass that we'll have to take to any teleport location on Floor 10. Other times, it teleports us immediately."

"I understand." He put the keys away. "Let's go back to the river and rest. My HP is too low and recovering slowly."

"Haha, it's normal. That wound on your forehead is terrible; it will take a while to heal."

After the Ancient Vampire's death, the spirits seemed to disappear, though Louis couldn't see where they went or if they just vanished.

Still, the dungeon was completely destroyed. The fire below was still slowly eating away at the foundations of the castle; if it continued like this, this castle would soon be destroyed.

That made Louis frown.

"Will it recover?" He asked.

Laura was also hesitating about it. "Ehm... I suppose it will? I've never heard of this dungeon being completed before, so I'm not sure, but being a Tower dungeon, it should recover..." She paused. "Right?" she added at last.

"Haha..." An awkward smile followed by an uncomfortable silence came, before they decided to get out of there.

They had no idea how this thing could recover, with so much destruction and where the flames were burning the foundations, but they gave them anyway.

It was more important for them to recover, so they returned to the banks of the river and decided to camp here until Louis' wounds recovered. Also, they were almost out of supplies of fire runes, and according to Laura, the floors from now on would be quite large in extent.

In addition, they had a Boss that they had to defeat to obtain the pass to the next floor, which made each floor more difficult.

So, they needed a break.

Somewhere unknown, two people were gathered together drinking tea on top of a large mountain with beautiful and expansive views.

The views below them were breathtaking. There were great mountains, beautiful valleys, plains, and admirable forests with gigantic trees, green being the characteristic color of this natural beauty.

Beasts occasionally flew before them at the whim of their passions and at the pleasure of their fluttering wings.

One of them was a visitor, having just arrived. Of robust appearance and quite muscular.

"Master, someone has completed that dungeon, finally." Said the man as he took the first sip of tea.

The other was an older gentleman with a rather long white beard and a head completely white with gray hair.

Although he should be many years old, he was not so wrinkly. He looked like a tough man in his 60's, only with a lot of gray hair and beard.

"The Bloody Castle has been destroyed, eh." An ancient voice came out of his mouth, and he twitched his lips slightly into a smile. "Not bad, who did it? Was he or she able to gain control of the Ancient Cube?"

"Sir, we know only two young people who completed it. One of them is Miss Laura, the one I mentioned to you earlier."

"Oh, that girl." He seemed to smile joyfully, though his facial muscles barely twitched. "Who's the other one? He had to have been new to be given that assignment."

"We only know that his name is Louis. I think his last name is Habsburg, but that's just hearsay I heard."

"Hm?" The old master frowned and looked at him. "From that family?"

"What we heard was that. They say he is the youngest son of Lord Habsburg, who had gone missing on that night."

"Hmm."

Thoughtfully, the old master brought a cane to his hand and stood up. He limped a little as he began to walk.

"Don't follow me. You did a good job. Wait for me, I'll give you your reward when I get back." Suddenly, the old master seemed to vanish in the wind.
