God of Money: Reincarnated as the Weakest SSS Rank

Chapter 102: One Martial Artist

The damage could have been problematic, but he managed to avoid it.

Only he couldn't relax. Several footsteps sounded behind him, and soon he was surrounded by 10 demons.

Four in front, four on the sides, and two behind.

With a small smile, Louis raised his gun in front of him, aiming at one of them, while Laura, in the distance, aimed at another.

BAM*

Two bullets rang out at the same time. One was aimed at one of the four in front, and the other at the one behind Louis.

Both bullets quickly hit their targets, exploding their heads with powerful wind magic.

Louis then ran to the front, removing the cylinder from the revolver to load a different bullet into it.

He normally waited until the bullets ran out to fully reload the cylinder because, although his revolver could change the cylinder very easily, he didn't have any more cylinders for now.

But this time was different.

He didn't need to use up all the bullets because he did not intend to stop firing wind bullets. It was to use a strategy; for that, he needed a water bullet.

When the water bullet was finally ready to fire, Louis fired at the three demons trying to attack him.

The force of the shot was powerful, but it failed to pierce the demons' flesh.

Instead, the water magic emerged from it like a jet that enveloped them, visibly slowing them down.

That allowed him to get in front of them and shoot one at point-blank range, shattering its head.

Then, taking advantage of the slowdown in his magic, he hit another one with his gun and then gave him a hard blow to the neck that shattered it. He was dizzy, but not dead.

He fell backward, and the moment he hit the ground, Louis stomped hard on his head, crushing it.

What made fighting these beasts easier was that most had their core in their heads, with few exceptions. Thanks to this, killing them was as easy as breathing for a gunslinger.

In the distance, Laura had fired again, killing one, and had to get up because one of the demons was coming for her.

Even so, she didn't have to worry too much. Elliot took advantage of the fact that he hadn't fired to aim at that demon and shoot it with terrifying accuracy, even though it was moving.

Thanks to that, Laura was able to reload and aim again.

Louis moved his head back to dodge a blow and then jumped further back, as he was about to be surrounded again.

The demons' blows tore through his clothes with ease.

'Very sharp,' he thought as he felt blood trickling down his cheek.

He laughed and ran back into the fray. A bullet from Laura followed him, killing another of the demons.

He faced one of them, hitting it on the head before it could strike him with its strange hooves.

The demon immediately felt dizzy, and several of its skull bones were destroyed, but it wasn't dead. Louis followed up with a flying kick, smashing the demon against the wall and finally destroying its head.

As he fell to the ground, he quickly pointed upward. One of the demons was above him. His revolver crashed into its face, and the sound of the impact shattered its head. Blood stained him, and he was also hit in the stomach, but nothing serious.

'They're strong, but if they don't hit me with those strange hooves, it's very difficult for them to hurt me,' he thought.

Just then, he heard another shot, which pierced the head of the last of the 10 demons.

'She's gotten faster,' he thought, looking at Laura.

She relaxed with a sigh and got up. "Are you okay?" she asked.

Louis nodded and took out a potion to drink. "Nothing significant. Just minor damage."

"All right then. Let's continue."

"Do you have any idea where the boss is?" Louis asked, curious.

She shook her head. "We can only look for it. It doesn't usually stay in one place, and there don't seem to be any people here trying to level up, so we don't have anyone to buy information from. We'll just have to wait and hope for luck."

"I understand." He wondered if he could find a more effective way to find it, but since he didn't know much about it, he didn't think about it too much.

They walked for several hours, killing the demons they occasionally encountered and managing to level up a few times.

It was difficult to level up when part of the experience went to someone else, but thanks to this, they could clear the dungeon easily and effectively.

After more than 8 hours of walking, in the early hours of the morning, they reached one of the rooms the boss usually uses.

But it wasn't there.

"Sigh. We have to camp out. Moving around in the early morning in this place isn't a very good idea."

"Because of the beasts that come from above?"

"Yes." She nodded in response to his question. "They usually take advantage of the early morning to migrate to these places. So it's not a good idea to do that. Luckily, they don't usually come to the boss's rooms, so we can camp here. We have enough supplies for now."

"All right, then."

They both reassembled the tent and lit a fire. Although this place was technically a cave, lighting a fire was not dangerous. There was never a lack of oxygen; it was like being outdoors.

Before sleeping, they cooked and made wind attribute runes, as many as possible.

The next morning, they continued their search for the boss.

It was an exhaustive search, between incredibly long corridors and moments when they didn't see a single beast for more than 5 hours.

Soon it was dawn once again.

It was just as Laura had said. The floors above the 10th floor are huge.

The long corridors of this place seemed to lead only to empty spaces. They encountered a few demons.

On the dawn of their second day here, they didn't stop even though it was early morning.

They couldn't. They were in the middle of a corridor, so they walked with their hearts in their mouths, hoping not to encounter anyone.

This is because when the beasts come from above, they don't arrive through the usual teleportation points. They come from unexpected places.

Fortunately, they made it, and a wave of happiness washed over them when they realized who was there.

It was already the next day, but sleep fled from them when they both found the floor boss, sitting on one of his thrones.

He was as tall as the Ancient Vampire, but incredibly muscular. He also had a peculiarity: he had two heads, and his face was hideous.

[Boss of Floor 19, Two-Headed Demonic Ogre: Level 75.]

"We got stuck with this guy... sigh. This is going to be stressful," Laura whispered.

He looked at her. "Is it a problematic beast?" he asked.

"Don't you know?" she looked back at him. "These guys have three cores, and we need to destroy them very quickly to kill it."

"Three cores?" he was astonished. "Could it be that it's two heads are one each?"

"Yes, exactly. The third... well, we'll have to find out."

When they finished talking, the boss noticed them and stood up. He had no weapon.

He also had no book or staff.

Nothing about him could be used to cast spells or anything.

Just his fists, a bare and astonishingly muscular torso, and two heads that focused their attention on each of their enemies.

He was a martial artist.

They knew what they had to do as soon as they found out.

The boss's room was large, over 1,000 meters long and 200 meters wide. Above the walls, several chandeliers illuminated the room with a blue light, characteristic of this floor.

There weren't many things the boss could use, so Louis quickly ran to the right, slowly approaching him, and fired a bullet at his body.

At that moment, the boss roared.

"ROARRR!" He opened both arms and clenched them tightly, conjuring a magic spell on his skin that strengthened it.

The bullet was powerful, but it couldn't penetrate the skin. Even so, the force of the impact and the wind magic caused the boss to be pushed back.

However, he quickly shook off that magic and jumped toward Louis.

Despite its large size, it moved incredibly fast, and when it reached Louis, he could only dodge it.

The force of the fist alone was enough to push the wind and knock him back.

The boss took advantage of the moment to attack him, seeking to strike while he was completely unprotected.

Even so, Louis quickly got his feet on the ground and threw a punch forward with his dominant hand.

*BOM*

When the two fists collided, the ground beneath them cracked—more on one side than the other.

'Did I lose a strength contest?' Louis was surprised.

But not because his opponent had more raw strength than him. He simply had better technique and knew how to strike with millimeter precision.

This surprised him.

'So this is a Martial Artist.' He smiled.

Suddenly, he put away his gun.

He wanted to try it.
