Chapter 32: The Oracle’s Prophecy
"To look ahead, you must first see behind."
📜 Recap from Chapter 31
Jemil tamed the fury of the Beast Queen, Shira, in the deadly arena of Floor 8. Their bond reforged through combat and pain, she rejoined his side. Now with seven wives and growing power, the Tower presents no monsters, no arena, no battle.
Only a single path.
🌫️ Floor 9 – The Chamber of Silence
The silence was suffocating.
No roars. No flame. No violence. Just a long corridor made of polished obsidian and faint starlight blinking above.
Jemil walked slowly, his steps echoing louder than ever before.
His wives followed behind — Kaelara, Shira, Lyselle, Solyne, Ayaka, Mira, and Elira — all quiet, unnerved.
Even Shira, normally the loudest, muttered, "This place… it smells like memory."
A door awaited them at the end. Smooth, glowing silver, pulsing faintly with… breath?
"I don't trust this," Elira whispered. "There's no test. No resistance. Only… invitation."
Jemil pressed his hand to the door.
It opened on its own.
🔮 The Oracle Awaits
Inside was a temple, circular and infinite.
Floating candles. Ancient books. A throne of crystal at the center. On it sat a woman cloaked in light — yet she was clearly no enemy.
She looked young, barely twenty. But her eyes…
Her eyes held centuries.
"Welcome, Jemil," she said softly.
The room rippled when she spoke. Time trembled.
"I am Elaria. Oracle of the Tower."
Jemil raised his guard. "You're not one of mine."
"No. I am something far more dangerous."
The wives stepped in, ready to fight.
Elaria lifted a hand. "Peace. I didn't bring you here to fight. I brought you here to remember."
🧠 Fragments of the Past
She pointed to the floating books. Each one bore Jemil's name.
"You lost your memories. But the Tower did not erase them — it hid them."
With a gesture, one book opened — its pages filled with moving light, forming a scene.
Jemil saw himself… before the Tower.
He stood beneath a burning sky. Not as a climber… but as a commander.
Thousands stood behind him. Armies. Wives. Children. He was leading them into the Tower, not climbing it.
"You weren't chosen by the Tower," Elaria said. "You built it."
The entire room fell silent.
🌀 The Great Lie
Jemil staggered back. "No… I was summoned. I woke up confused. I'm just—"
"—A victim?" she finished. "You're a creator who forgot his creation."
She waved her hand again. More scenes: Jemil speaking to Towers across worlds. Forming a place to test warriors, yes — but also to protect them from something worse.
"You made the Tower to stop the Outer Raze."
The name echoed like thunder.
Kaelara gasped. "The Raze… the thing that eats stars."
Elaria nodded. "You created a fortress that could evolve heroes. But something… broke. You were betrayed. Your wives were scattered. Your mind was fragmented. And the Tower's systems went rogue."
Jemil's fists clenched.
"Why tell me this now?"
"Because on Floor 10, the real climb begins."
👁️ The Prophecy
Elaria stepped forward. Her light flickered. She was weakening.
"I don't have long. Every time I interfere, the Tower fights back."
She pressed her hand to Jemil's chest — over his soul sigils.
"You must awaken all 13 wives. Only then will the true gate open. But beware…"
She leaned in, whispering:
"One of them will betray you."
The candles flickered violently.
"Trust no memory. Trust no system. Trust only their hearts."
The temple began to shake.
"Wait!" Jemil called. "Who are you really?"
Elaria smiled faintly… and then vanished.
In her place, a single tear-shaped gem floated.
💎 The Oracle's Gift
Jemil caught the gem.
The moment he touched it, his head split open with light.
Visions. Screams. Kisses. Battles. Death. Birth. A wedding. A betrayal. A coronation. His real name, his real role—
Too much. He collapsed.
His wives rushed to him.
Kaelara held his hand. "Jemil?"
He blinked… and smiled.
"I remember the taste of rain… on our wedding day."
They all froze.
Even the coldest hearts trembled.
Another piece had returned.
⏳ Next Time: Chapter 33 – The Broken Gate
Floor 10 will not open. The path is sealed.
The only way forward is through a gate Jemil once sealed himself — with a key forged from all his wives' faith.
But one of them is hiding something.
And the Tower knows.
