God Level Farmer In Another World

Chapter 156: Chapter 156: The Main Event at Happy Valley

Chapter 156: The Main Event at Happy Valley

Inside Happy Valley, it was no different from a typical nightclub.

Powerful metal music, shimmering disco balls, and the cries and screams of men and women filled the air.

The dance floor was vast, almost as large as half a sports field, located at the center and surrounded by tiered seating booths.

It seemed to be a converted football or basketball court.

Those booths used to be the audience stands.

The dance floor was where the competitions were once held.

Closer to the dance floor were large booths with high minimum consumption.

Farther from the dance floor, higher up, were smaller, more scattered tables.

At the very back, there were no tables at all.

Some men stood there, lost in the music, shaking their heads and releasing their stress.

Mark, being the young master of White Mountain City, of course, didn't settle for the less desirable spots. He led Alexander to a luxurious booth on the third tier.

A few scantily clad women, upon seeing Mark's law enforcement uniform, lit up with interest.

They tottered over in their high heels, but were quickly shooed away by Mark.

"This is a friendship gathering, no need for all this nonsense."

A beautiful waitress, dressed in a revealing teacher's uniform, walked over:

"May I take your order?"

Mark tossed aside the drink menu the waitress had brought, casually said:

"This is my brother from the big city, don't try to fool me with these things.

Go, tell the bartender to make something strong."

He then flashed a membership card in a grand gesture.

Alexander couldn't help but laugh, recalling the times in high school when Mark had invited him out to eat. He grinned and said:

"Lord Mark, you're so impressive!"

The beautiful waitress looked at Alexander in surprise, her eyes filled with respect.

Apart from Four Seas City being nearby, other cities were quite far away.

To travel all the way to White Mountain City meant one was either a distinguished young master or a powerful awakened individual.

The waitress silently took note of the luxurious booth and then went to prepare.

Mark, staring at the waitress's graceful figure, grinned lewdly:

"She really looks like our high school English teacher."

Alexander surveyed the crowd inside Happy Valley.

The prices here must be high, and there were quite a lot of people.

Alexander asked:

"With such pressure in life, there are still entertainment places like this.

White Mountain City has no shortage of rich people."

Mark shook his head and pointed to the people above the fourth floor:

"These are just ordinary folks."

Alexander looked at Mark, confused.

If they were struggling to eat, how could they afford to be so carefree?

Mark noticed Alexander's confusion and explained:

"My dad says, there are always some people who are tight-fisted.

They stretch one meal into three, always hoarding things.

They have money, but over time, they start thinking about trivial things.

We have to find ways to give them an outlet to spend their money.

By the way, this place was set up by my dad."

Mark pointed to the flashing lights above his head:

"See, just these flashing disco balls can draw a huge crowd.

Not to mention, once people come in, no matter how much they spend, they get a session with a beautiful waitress."

When people stay in a dull world for too long and have money, it's easy for them to fall into a state of nihilism.

People need hobbies, something to grasp, or they can easily fall into an empty void.

For those living in dire conditions, this place is a perfect escape.

It's probably here that people realize they are living in a world of technology.

The women who provide companionship here don't earn much.

In times of prosperity, beauties are as precious as gold, but in troubled times, those born beautiful are almost considered a curse.

Alexander had money, power, and status, and he also had hobbies that formed his sense of purpose.

That hobby was the Mercenary Guild.

Alexander couldn't bear to imagine what kind of monster he would become if he only sought power.

In such a nihilistic state, he could easily turn into a madman.

For instance, he could slaughter an entire city and gain thousands of years of life.

If he became that evil being, he would surely face enemies everywhere.

It was because of his ties to the Mercenary Guild that Alexander had not gone mad, that he could hold on to his humanity.

Mark continued:

"This place, the decor and environment can't compare to South Sea, but it's still a nightlife dance hall."

Mark leaned in close to Alexander's ear, speaking in a mysterious tone:

"After midnight, there's a special show here, it's going to be intense!"

Mark had mentioned several times before that he would show Alexander something new and eye-opening.

Alexander couldn't help but become curious about what could be so mysterious.

As they waited for midnight, the two of them chatted and caught up.

Mark subtly asked how Alexander had come to White Mountain City and what he was doing there.

Alexander remained silent, unwilling to share. He had few friends and treasured them, not wanting to deceive Mark, but also not wanting to reveal his secrets.

Mark didn't press further, raising his drink and continuing to reminisce about the past.

The guests on the dance floor changed several times, and one particular warm-up dancer caught Mark's attention.

"Damn, I can't believe we have such a beauty in White Mountain!" Mark exclaimed in surprise.

Following Mark's gaze, Alexander saw a strikingly beautiful woman.

She had an enchanting, almost soul-snatching allure, with large waves of hair and a tight-fitting white T-shirt that clung to her curves, barely covering her midriff. As she danced, her toned abs and belly button were exposed.

Alexander felt she looked familiar, as though he had seen her somewhere before.

After thinking for a moment, Alexander's eyes widened in shock.

Mark admired her for a while before reluctantly saying:

"Too bad, her chest is a bit small, she's flat."

Alexander playfully looked at Mark and said:

"We've met her today."

Mark froze for a moment, then shook his head repeatedly:

"No way, if I had met such a girl, I would've taken her right there."

Alexander didn't tease him further:

"Today, your department head, Lu, spotted her at the hotel."

Mark immediately recalled the near encounter where Lu almost took advantage of a young, handsome man.

He, being an awakened one, easily noticed that the beautiful woman's large waves of hair were fake.

Mark fell into deep thought, then exclaimed:

"Damn!"

After a while, Mark slapped himself:

"Alexander, do you think there's something wrong with my sexual orientation?

I might not dislike men, I just don't like ugly ones."

By this time, it was already past midnight, and the dancers were ushered off the floor by staff.

The DJ switched from metal music to a very catchy English DJ song.

To the pounding music, a group of dancers passionately danced on the floor.

The guests screamed and shouted with all their might.

Their eyes were bloodshot, eagerly anticipating the main event.

A waiter approached Alexander's table, holding a phone and respectfully asking:

"Sir, would you like to place a bet?"

Mark eagerly pulled out two gold coins:

"Bet it all on the Meat Grinder."

Alexander glanced around.

Many waiters were moving between the front rows, holding phones and black leather bags, doing the same thing.

Mark rubbed his hands in excitement:

"The big show's coming, you've never seen anything like this."

The dancers left the floor, and the DJ continued with the catchy song.

A female host walked up to the DJ booth.

She was dressed provocatively in a strapless top and hot pants, adorned with tattoos, a collar around her neck, and chains hanging from her body.

With passionate energy, she began the opening speech, then, in a smoky voice, declared:

"Ladies and gentlemen, the happiest time at Happy Valley has begun!

Now, please welcome tonight's main event! The Human-Faced Bear!"

As the crowd cheered, a section of the floor on the east side began to slowly descend. When it rose again, a three-meter-tall black bear with a giant human face on its chest appeared on stage.

"Roar!"

It was a monster!

The female host shouted again:

"Next up, we have the one who is about to earn the Hundred Demon Slayer title, the Meat Grinder!"

A section of the floor on the west side descended, and when it rose again, a muscular man, shirtless and holding a giant axe, appeared.

The female host screamed:

"Tonight's thrilling time begins!"

The female host was excellent at hyping the crowd.

With the DJ's coordination, the entire crowd, both men and women, screamed like they had gone mad.

Alexander narrowed his eyes.

The final act was going to be a gladiatorial battle between a human and a monster!
