After refreshing myself with a good night's sleep on the inn bed—the cost of which my adventurer savior had kindly covered—I made a quick goodbye and dashed out without looking back. I didn't have the luxury to linger

My priority was finding a way out.

I tried to head to the surface using the map Paddy saved a moment ago, and using the saved data I let Paddy lead the way to the quickest path to the surface.

I also managed to gather information using the various people chatting and asking some questions.

It took me quite a while to understand which server I was from several Clues that were given to me, from Riveria, Dungeon, Orario, and lastly, Sword Princess from the Loki Family who went down pretty recently.

That last detail was the kicker, jolting my memory.

This wasn't just any fantasy world—I was in Danmachi, or more precisely, "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?"

So...in other words, we are in the Harem genre server. Dunno why I am still stuck here in the first place even if I know which server I was.

It became even weird when all of the people here that I talked with were NPCs, I know it from using the Hud in my view which gives me some context on their name, item name, and if they are NPCs or not.

Still, it's useless to find a way to get out of this server. But at least I can see their health and name which is useful in some way but that's not the point.

If all of these were NPC then... just how much processor was used...? Must be enough to contain a entire human mind since all of these have good expression.

The only think that is capable of investing such huge proccesor is United State goverment who is willing to pay billlion of dollar for weapon and AI technology.

But if it was the United States, then are they planning a new type of VR where they can do anything they want without getting in trouble? But thinking about it already give me a headage so I stop think about it.

But despite the empanding danger I am facing I can't help but say this Server is fucking beautiful... The moment I reached the 18th Floor I could not help but be in awe the skies were some kind of crystal that shone upon the floor.

And once it was nighttime it suddenly went dark. How cool was that? I was kind surprise when the entire place turn dark immidietly.

"Alert. An incoming horde of monsters approaching fast"

I got out of my daze and saw something In the distance, my eyes narrowed spotted the plumes of smoke rising and slowly heading toward me.

Zooming closer using the new modded I added on my helmet that allows me to see from afar I saw not one but hundreds of animals ranging from dogs and rabbits slowly approaching my location.

"Paddy."

"Affirmative"

A glowing light circle appears in front of Paddy's view, and the moment the circle vanishes hundreds of glowing light spears appear from the ground.

The light spear keep appear over and over again until finally, the whole monster was pierced by the spear floating above the ground and vanishing into thin air leaving behind Magic Stone on the ground.

"As always you make a quick work of them Paddy." 

Once I confirmed that all of the monster was killed I continued running while Paddy followed me from behind as he began to gather the magic stone that was killed a moment ago with haste and begin to follow me from behind.

As I kept running I noticed in the distance forest there was a camp being set up as huge smoke rose to the skies. I notice there was a flag raise to the skies kind like a clown.

I ignore it in favor of getting out of this damn dungeoun.

After finally getting out on the safe haven of the 18th floor. I begin making my way up

"Fuck... why is there soo many."

Just like a moment ago, I keep encountering wave after wave of monsters.

On the 17th floor, the one I encountered the most was a minotaur. And as I go up the monster I encounter is a wolf, a rabbit, and lizard. But mostly wolf, and they were not in small number either.

They even spew out fireball.

I heard from some adventure talk you must be at least Level 2 or 3 to kill a minotaur. But since I don't possess any level nor the strength and speed of level 2 or 3 I have to be smart of my using my equipment and of course my [Character Usage] as well that I download recently.

"Which floor are we currently at Paddy?" I look away from the map to look at Paddy.

"We are currently at 15th floor and will soon arrive at the 14th floor."

I use every single advantage I have in order to reach the surface as possible, by having Paddy as my guide I begin to navigate my ways by flying, jumping and running all over the dungeon.

With the speed I was going in just hour I manage to reach the 7th floor, a staggering speed compare to before where I need a single hour just to advance to the next floor.

Well this time I have a map.

The moment I reach the 7th Floor, I felt relief since my mind feel exhausted from all of it running. But the moment I take momentary rest. Paddy give me a warning and immidietly numerous minotaur come out of the wall around me.

With their eyes glows red, they gaze and me and begin charging at me.

Since I feel exhausted and tired from dealing with these kinds monsters over and over again, and wanted to get out of these games and lay on the bed. I decide to go all out.

"I am tired of you monster getting things in my way." With a smirk on my face, I say "Character Usage! Darth Vader!"

As the familiar system voice resonate in my ears, I felt my entire body change, I began to slow down as I felt my speed lower. But with a smirk on my face and dark power felt inside of me, I pull out the familiar red lightsaber that materialize in my ams and ignite it.

"Hahahaaha! Yes! feel the power of the dark side!"

I have installed many mods on my Gmod since I though it would be important.

Star Wars, Homeworld, Military, Halo, Undertale, Muv Luv, and Much More.

And the main mod I am using is call [Character Usage]

Pretty cool mod that allow me to use the power of each character I use.

The only downside of this mod is that I can only use one Character power for each time, for example, I can not use Force from Star Wars and Gaster Blaster from the Undertale at the same time.

The reason is to prevent each code from clashing with each other which can causes some huge errors several times, which I try to avoid as much as possible since I don't plan to break my VR.

As the horde of minotaurs charged toward me, I extended my hand, channeling the dark force to halt them in their tracks. One by one, the creatures froze, unable to move as if caught in an invisible grip. I sprinted forward, swiftly cutting down several of them with precise strikes to their necks—their critical weakness. Each slash was clean and efficient, reducing the towering beasts to lifeless hulks.

The remaining monsters at the back hesitated, fear flashing across their brutish faces. It was a rare sight, and I couldn't help but smirk at their cowardice. I raised my right hand, tightening the dark force's grip around the throats of a few stragglers.

They clawed at their own necks, gasping for breath as they were lifted off the ground, suspended in the air by my unseen power. With a final squeeze, I crushed their windpipes, dropping their limp bodies to the floor.

Now only one minotaur remained, trembling as it locked eyes with me. Fear, genuine fear, flickered in its eyes—a new and unexpected reaction. Monsters didn't usually hesitate; they were mindless beasts driven by instinct, but this one was different.

Before I could move to finish it off, the minotaur suddenly turned tail and bolted, its heavy footsteps echoing as it fled deeper into the dungeon.

I watched in stunned silence. "Now that's a first," I muttered, lowering my hand. Monsters in this world had never run from a fight, no matter how outmatched they were.

But this one, driven by sheer terror, had chosen to flee.

I was about to chase the very last monster when suddenly loud scream could be heard.

"Kyaa!!"

It was a girl's scream echoing from the distance.

Panic started to set in as I turned to Paddy, my AI companion. "Paddy... what floor are we on again?"

"Report: 7th Floor."

I clenched my fists. "And above the 7th floor, that's where all the newbies are, right?"

"Affirmative."

A wave of dread crashed over me, and my heart sank as I realized my mistake. The Minotaur I'd let slip away must have made its way up there. Without wasting another second, I bolted, pushing my legs to their limits. I couldn't let those rookies face that monster alone.

"Paddy! Can you locate the Minotaur or the source of the scream?"

"Affirmative."

A glowing map materialized before me, displaying a direct path to the source of the danger. I followed it, zigzagging through the maze of corridors, dodging monster along the way.

When I arrived, I managed to get a glimpse of a Minotaur in the distance, its back turned to me. Its arms were stretched wide, seemingly about to catch something or someone.

That's the Minotaur that got away! I gritted my teeth and shouted, "Hey, over here!" My voice echoed through the hallway, but the beast barely reacted, its focus entirely on the adventure.

"Hey! I'm talking to you!" I kept yelling, desperation creeping into my voice, but the Minotaur ignored me, its massive frame bearing down on it.

"...Coward," I muttered under my breath. This wasn't going to work. I had to act now. I ignite the lightsaber.

Extending my hand, I focused all my will and shouted, "FORCE!"

The Minotaur halted abruptly, its muscles locking up as though caught in an invisible grip. This was my chance. I surged forward, the lightsaber humming with power as I closed the distance in an instant. With one swift strike, I sliced through the beast's massive torso.

The Minotaur let out a guttural roar, collapsing heavily to the ground, its life snuffed out in a single, clean blow.

I brushed the dust off my clothes, turned off the lightsaber, and looked down at the kid on the ground to check on their condition.

I notice the poor lone kid is currently covered in miniature blood from up in the face all the way down to its feet.

I took my helmet off to let my hair out and looked over the kid's condition in worried. The kid is still not moving on the floor seemingly shocked upon seeing my face.

I bring my hand to the kid and wipe the blood on its face and hair "Are you okay?" I asked, extending a hand to help them up.

Further observation the face felt familiar, the curls of white hair, the soft baby-like face, the crimson eyes, the brown long-sleeved jacket, and boots. The singular piece of the metallic chest plate.

Oh no, it's a girl. I suddenly felt a pang of guilt for wiping her face without thinking—probably not the most gentlemanly move. Her whole body was stained in red from the Minotaur's blood, and I noticed her cheeks turning even redder. Was it the shock, embarrassment, or something else? She seemed unharmed, but her wide eyes and trembling lip suggested she was far from okay.

I waved my hand in front of her face, trying to snap her out of it. "Hello? Can you hear me?"

"..wah" Oh she can speak

"Wah?" I repeated, tilting my head in confusion

"WAHHH!!" she suddenly screamed, her voice piercing the air as she scrambled to her feet. Without another word, she bolted down the corridor, her footsteps echoing in the distance until she disappeared into the dark.

....

..And just like that, she is gone.

What in the world just happened?

I slowly lowered my arm, baffled by the whirlwind that had just happened. What in the world was that all about? Had I scared her? Was she just overwhelmed? I ran a hand through my hair, letting out a sigh as I tried to piece together the bizarre encounter.

"Paddy, did you catch that?" I muttered, looking for some kind of reassurance or explanation.

"Affirmative. Emotional response suggests high levels of fear and confusion," Paddy responded, though his tone didn't quite match the oddity of the moment.

"Yeah, I figured that would be your answer," I grumbled,

After a moment, I shook my head and forced myself to keep moving. As I made my way up the floors, I noticed there were more adventurers than before.

Most of them were clearly newbies, clad in cheap leather armor and wielding basic weapons—hardly enough to handle the tougher monsters on these levels.

They were scattered along the walls, waiting for creatures to spawn rather than actively exploring or descending deeper into the dungeon. But they also tend to keep a distance from me.

As I continued my climb, the number of adventurers increased, and I began to notice more curious gazes following me. They were probably eyeing my gear, which was distinctly different from their own. My attire and equipment marked me as someone who didn't quite belong among the beginners, but I paid them no mind. I had more pressing concerns than a few curious looks.

Still, my thoughts kept drifting back to the girl. The way she had bolted at the sight of me was gnawing at the back of my mind.

'...Am I that scary?' I wondered, glancing down at my clothes.

They were spattered with Minotaur blood, but nothing too gruesome. I'd have to clean up once I reached the surface, but hopely this won't be something I have to frequently face.

But still maybe it was something else… or maybe she'd just never seen someone fight like that up close.

...I felt like I'd seen her somewhere before, but I quickly dismissed the thought as the sun begin to shine upon me when I reach even closer to the surface.
