Chapter 275: Summon Hellfire, Capture the Wailing Lich Alive

The ferocious-looking gargoyle in his hand seemed like a helpless rag doll.

It struggled at first, but as Zong Shen smashed it against other burrow monsters one after another, it quickly became deformed, with bones breaking and flesh torn, almost turning into a pile of sludge. Only after its life value was completely exhausted did it melt into pus and seep into the ground.

The entire scene was too violent; compared to the current Zong Shen, these burrow monsters, which were supposed to praise death, looked like weak, pitiful, and helpless little quails, trembling before Zong Shen.

Zong Shen charged directly into the new swarm, swinging his battle spear, sending the burrow monsters flying.

The other two monster swarms were also gradually closing in; in a few minutes, the three large swarms would merge into one, forming a crowd of thousands.

He was looking for the burrow heroes lurking within this swarm of burrow monsters.

It wasn't easy to spot burrow heroes among two or three thousand dense burrow monsters. Those guys were cunning, never standing at the forefront, especially after witnessing the Lord of Death being pinned to death. The heroes among this burrow monster swarm would not easily show themselves.

The previous Death Knight hadn't managed to gather more burrow monsters or meet with other burrow heroes; the scale of the swarm was too small. Facing the powerful Zong Shen and his warriors, it seemed quite passive.

But the large monster swarms were a different story. With enough quantity, even the most formidable squads would need time to fully penetrate through.

Zong Shen swept through the enemies with unstoppable force, and surrounding monsters once again appeared, filling the area with a black mass.

Gradually, he was cut off from the exploration squad not far behind him.

At this moment, a burrow hero lurking within the swarm couldn't help but take action.

The ground beneath Zong Shen's feet surged, pale bone claws emerged, intertwined, gripping Zong Shen's lower legs, starting to rapidly expand and spread, with at least hundreds of bone claws wrapping around his thighs.

This skill was like an enhanced version of the bone claws from those Priests of the Dead in the temple.

Zong Shen looked down at his thigh, pulled it forcefully, causing the bone claws to emit shattering sounds. The bind loosened significantly, but he still couldn't pull free.

At this moment, three white bone spears whistled towards him, aiming for vulnerable spots like his neck and arm joints.

The three white bone spears came with a fierce whistling sound. Though unafraid, he wasn't willing to take them head-on. A wise man doesn't stand under a collapsing wall; never underestimate any attack you face.

Zong Shen, with a thought, connected to the [Shadow Talisman (Blue)], activating the skill Shadow Clone.

The main body swiftly escaped the bind of the bone claws and entered a stealth state, leaving five clones at the spot to confuse the burrow monsters.

However, unfortunately, Zong Shen still couldn't find where the burrow hero who attacked him was hiding.

Judging from the opponent's skills, this attacking burrow hero differed from the Burrow Lord and Death Knight; they were a mage-type burrow hero, and the skills were essentially enhanced versions of necromancy.

Surrounding monsters were dense, and above, the gargoyles roared and unleashed light blades, attacking the five phantoms he left behind. The previously summoned Violent Bear Warrior was covered in wounds, with only one-fifth of its life value remaining.

At this moment, Tasuya's summoning of hellfire was finally finished chanting.

In the air, forty to fifty meters ahead of Zong Shen, at the densest central location of this burrow monster swarm, a shadow slowly appeared.

A fierce gale swept the ground, and raising his head, Zong Shen saw a massive meteor, with a diameter of about five to six meters, burning with ghostly green flames, descending from the sky.

And the location covered by that shadow was precisely its landing point.

The center of the monster swarm began to stir, and Zong Shen keenly observed a small figure, only about one and a half meters tall, wearing a red hooded robe, moving through the swarm, attempting to leave.

"Good fellow, trying to escape!"

Though Zong Shen was in stealth state, it was almost as if he hadn't gone stealth; the density of surrounding monsters was too high, nearly shoulder to shoulder with him. But given his current height, the burrow monsters like zombies only reached his waistline.

He locked onto the attacker's position and directly activated the entanglement skill of the [Emerald Green Leg Armor]. Vines burst forth, binding the small figure in place, making it unable to escape the falling range of the hellfire.

It turned around, and under the red hood was a shriveled face, akin to a dried corpse. Holding a magic staff resembling a white bone spine, it looked at the rapidly falling hellfire, shaking all over with anxiety, trying to break free from the thorns.

This was called using the enemy's own tactics against them!

Just now, it used bone claws to bind Zong Shen; now Zong Shen used entanglement to bind it.

Letting it see the colossal hellfire hammering down upon it.

"Boom!"

The ground shook violently, and the impact wave and swirling air current swept by, making it difficult for Zong Shen to stand steadily.

The immense impact dealt chaos damage of 220 points to enemies within a ten-meter diameter of the landing point and caused a severe impact state to enemies within thirty meters, shaking the entire monster swarm.
