Global Lords: Hundredfold Increments Starting With the Undead

Chapter 833, Withered Heart

Tap tap tap...

The sound of dense crawling echoed throughout the venue.

The Exorcist Hulks all surged towards the High Priest at the center, their skeletal bodies crumbling and reconstituting into a massive monster.

The remaining skeletons disappeared, and without further targets, the constructs sat stunned for two seconds before simultaneously turning their attention to the gigantic Skeleton.

Then, they charged straight at it.

Crash!!

The Skeleton's thousand feet, made of bone, quickly crawled forward, maintaining high mobility despite the cumbersome body.

Like a runaway giant rhinoceros, it rampaged through the hall.

Along the way, it knocked all the constructs flying.

Its huge body and heavy weight crushed the fallen constructs into shards.

The High Priest, now forming the upper body, swung the broken staff in his hand, releasing dark red Magic beams downward.

The furious Magic energy swept through the hall.

The constructs scattered to avoid it, but some were too slow and got hit by the Magic.

Their bodies exploded from the energy, turning into bits and pieces.

"Amagar, you go as well and destroy that monster," Mr. Fang Hao said to the black-armored Amagar standing next to him.

Even Beata and Anjia were struggling in their monster forms.

To end the battle quickly, Amagar had to take action.

"Yes, sir," the taciturn Amagar replied, gripping his war hammer and charging forward.

As he ran, his body rapidly grew into a giant form.

Without dodging, he swung his war hammer directly at the monster's abdomen.

Thump!!

A dull boom resonated, blasting air waves, and the ground's bones tumbled.

The monster, transformed from the High Priest, had a huge hole smashed into it at the hit spot, and broken bones clattered down.

With a successful strike, Amagar charged again, his war hammer swinging in powerful arcs, repeatedly smashing against the massive body.

Both were Dark Gold class, and their ranks were very close.

But Amagar was a melee hero with spell assistance, while the opponent, now the High Priest, was more of a Mage support type.

Even transformed into such a terrifying monster, in a direct confrontation, it was difficult to say it was stronger than Amagar.

Meanwhile, Beata continuously released bolts of Thunder Elemental Magic, bombarding the huge body.

In a head-on collision, the fierce Bone monster was quickly overwhelmed.

It was pinned down and furiously hammered.

"Anjia, take the constructs and go kill those people in the back," Mr. Fang Hao shouted loudly.

Anjia disengaged two skeleton arms and backflipped to dodge an attack.

Hearing Mr. Fang Hao's shout, she immediately understood.

She signaled the surrounding constructs and headed straight to the rear.

There, the black-robed followers were performing an odd ritual.

Crash!!

The constructs began to run.

Charging towards the altar.

"No, you ignorant mortals, how dare you disturb the sleep of the gods."

The High Priest, seeing the constructs bypass him and attack the altar, exhibited fear and panic.

His huge, bulky body quickly crawled up, thousands of legs moving in unison, attempting to block Anjia and the others.

But he was already targeted by the black-armored warrior, whose war hammer, carrying tremendous force, relentlessly struck him.

The originally advantageous giant body now became a cumbersome burden.

At the same time, a Dragon Clan girl on the side kept unleashing various Thunder Elemental Spells.

Bolts of lightning struck from above.

Under their joint assault, he couldn't think about stopping those people.

He himself was thrown back again, tumbling to the ground.

Taking this chance, Anjia led a massive group of constructs straight into the altar area.

Before the black-robed cultists could react, a swath of heads had already been sliced off by longswords and flew high.

No more rituals were performed, and all the cultists rose to try to counterattack.

But in terms of hand-to-hand combat ability, these cultists were no match for the constructs.

Especially not with Anjia, a purple hero, leading the team.

The rear became a one-sided slaughter.

Scores of black-robed cultists fell, turning into decaying sludge.

Roar!!

With the ritual at the altar interrupted, the High Priest became even more furious.

His massive body rammed with more force.

His staff erratically shooting Magic in all directions.

Exploding against the walls and ceiling of the hall.

Bits of broken bricks fell, and fine sand from the shattered ceiling continuously dropped into the hall.

Whoosh!

A fire javelin flew up beside the High Priest.

The next second, it transformed into the black-armored warrior.

With a low grunt, he burst out with terrifying power.

Bang!

A dull sound echoed, and a burst of air waves exploded instantly.

The large and ferocious High Priest was suddenly flung sideways, crashing into a wall, and slumped down limply.

Amagar quickly followed up.

His war hammer swung high and crashed down hard on the ugly body of the High Priest.

The hard skeleton rapidly shattered, and even the High Priest himself struggled, emitting painful wails.

Crack crack!

The huge skeletal body continuously broke apart and scattered.

Quickly detaching from his body.

Leaving only the High Priest in a golden red robe, limply sitting amidst a mound of white bones.

He weakly raised his head.

His gaunt face showing immense resent.

Amagar gave him a glance.

Then swung his war hammer down again.

Bang!

A muffled sound reverberated in the hall.

The High Priest's head shattered like a watermelon, leaving behind an empty body that slowly collapsed.

"Sir, it's over!"

Three heroes quickly approached.

The once vast and grand hall had become battered and shabby during the battle.

Cracks adorned the ceiling and walls, and fine sand kept pouring in like a stream.

Moreover, the openings caused by the broken walls were gradually enlarging due to the incoming sand.

"Skeleton archers, clean up the battlefield and move all the loot to the first floor," Fang Hao ordered the skeleton archers who hadn't been utilized.

The skeleton archers swiftly entered the hall to collect various weapons and equipment.

They carried them upstairs.

Meanwhile, Fang Hao, accompanied by several heroes, headed towards the stone coffin at the center of the altar.

They had to see what was inside before the place collapsed!

...

First floor of the ancient tomb.

"Mr. Fang Hao, how's it going down there? Would you like me to switch some dinner?" Cleolando approached.

The corridor connecting to the outside of the tomb was completely dark.

They had entered at noon, and now it was already night.

None of them had ingested even a drop of water.

Of course, the only one who truly needed to eat was Cleolando himself.

Fang Hao had become a deity and did not need to eat.

Beata, Anjia, and others were heroes, unaffected by not eating, not to mention the demigod Dragon Queen.

So, Fang Hao hadn't really noticed this until Cleolando brought it up.

"Uh, it's all over down there, skeleton archers are cleaning up the battlefield, if you're hungry, go ahead and eat some, it'll be over soon," Fang Hao directly responded.

That meant that the ancient tomb only had four floors, and it really was Fang Hao alone who had cleared them.

Thinking about it, it made sense; the Dragon Queen was standing right here.

If he couldn't clear it, then no one else here could.

But then he thought, skeleton archers cleaning up the battlefield…

Was there nothing left for him to do?

If he let others handle it, then he might really end up just being a guide.

He immediately said, "I'll arrange for someone to go down and clean up the battlefield quickly so we can head back soon."

Fang Hao thought about it; if they delayed, the lower levels might collapse.

"Alright…, let's hurry it up."

Clang-clash-bang!

Just as Cleolando was about to order his men to go down and clean the battlefield,

a sudden burst of fierce shouting and the clashing of weapons erupted from the entrance.

Everyone was startled at once.

The black-armored warrior Alurag immediately guarded Fang Hao, vigilantly watching Cleolando and his group.

Fang Hao's first thought was suspicion of the other party having some scheme.

But soon, he dismissed his speculation.

The skeletons Cleolando had left outside stumbled down, urgently saying, "Sir, transmigrators are leading an attack against us, we can't hold them off."

Cleolando's face changed, with a mix of surprise and doubt in his eyes.

Transmigrators attacking him?

Not to mention his good reputation, but this map was publicly accessible, explored by many alliances.

He shouldn't be attacked just because he was here.

Surprised, but not afraid, with the Dragon Queen by his side,

it was impossible for other transmigrators to break in.

Still, he looked at Fang Hao questioningly,

"Mr. Fang Hao, what should we do?"

After thinking a bit, Fang Hao said, "Have your men hold them off, do not let them block the entrance, stay with me and wait for the loot."

Cleolando paused, understanding Fang Hao's intent.

He nodded, agreeing, and began instructing the heroes and soldiers behind him.

The heroes nodded and led the skeleton soldiers out of the entrance.

Fang Hao released the Thunder Spirit, flying out of the entrance to take a glance.

Confirming that the outsiders couldn't truly break in, he waited for the loot.

...

Fourth floor underground.

The altar was surrounded by a mass of corpses that had melded together.

Based on their preserved forms and equipment, one could distinguish between transmigrators and ordinary soldiers.

It seemed that over time, those who explored this place were mostly brought here as ritual sacrifices.

The bizarrely shaped skeletons assembled here were likely the original monsters of this map.

On further thought, it was possible that the reason this map was made public was to gather more flesh and corpses.

Fang Hao, controlling a Demon Doll, led a few heroes onto the altar, which was covered in muscles.

Stepping on it, one could even hear the sticky, sizzling sound.

Arriving at the stone coffin, they looked inside.

The entire interior of the coffin was wrapped in a layer of white flesh.

Beneath the flesh, they could see a mummified corpse that had dried up and turned black.

Fang Hao glanced at it, noting no attribute tips or ability to communicate with the outside world like the Demon.

It seemed the ritual had been directly interrupted, and the person inside had not succeeded.

After a brief thought, he drew his longsword and cut open the encasing flesh.

He addressed the skeleton archers behind him, scavenging the loot, "You, bring that corpse out."

The skeleton archer strode over, lifting the black mummy, which had only its ribcage and skull remaining.

It dropped it on the ground.

Once removed from the stone coffin and flesh, the black desiccated corpse shrank even more.

The black dried flesh quickly turned white, then scattered into a pile of fine sand.

It was gone…

Even the corpse was gone.

Fang Hao widened his eyes, somewhat in disbelief.

The resurrected boss?

The body of a deity?

All that was left was a pile of yellow debris?

Among the yellow debris, a shriveled, blackened heart emerged.

[Shriveled Heart]

(Description: Despite the "Royal Funeral," the heart still contains potent energy.)
