Global Lord: My Undead Can Undergo Fission

Chapter 979: The Path to Higher Levels

Fang Jie gradually began to understand as he flipped through the things he exchanged for back then.

These are things only Upper Gods can know. Although they are common sense, if you are not an Upper God, it's very difficult to acquire them. Only Middle-Level God Peaks in the large Divine Race might have a chance to know after making significant contributions.

And just this little bit of knowledge can save them from taking many detours.

In reality, advancing to an Upper God is extremely difficult.

The first point is that one's Law comprehension must reach the Peak of a Middle-Level God, but there can be no major issues with the Law itself; at the very least, the path of the Law must be able to continue without reaching a dead end.

And wanting to achieve this is already very challenging.

The Law paths of most Gods have problems due to their foundations and choices.

Even if some have no issues, reaching the Middle-Level God Peak is not easy; it's a long journey. Compared to someone like Fang Jie, who is crazily developing the otherworld, normal Gods advance much slower.

Fang Jie's approach is extremely dangerous and is considered unthinkable in the eyes of the Gods.

Because such a method of pioneering might easily lead to encounters with powerful enemies and death if not careful.

Even if one keeps advancing, the act of monopolizing resources easily offends others. Fang Jie was quite different this time; he reported discovering a vast world, so all the Gods of his system owed Fang Jie a favor.

If it were someone else developing a world on their own, it would not only be dangerous but also draw people's disgust.

The key is, the stronger the God, the rarer are the powerful worlds that can affect them.

Once one advances to an Upper God, the World Origin of ordinary worlds provides very little help. Only World Origins extracted from worlds of the same level can provide significant assistance.

The reason the three Upper Gods didn't act against Fang Jie is that this world is useful to them.

And reaching the Peak of a Middle-Level God is just the foundation.

Because to become an Upper God, one must forge their own path. This path essentially means the Law. There are usually two paths to become an Upper God.

The first is to integrate oneself into World Laws, thus transforming into the world's Puppet.

But in doing so, one gradually loses oneself. However, with the help of World Power, the progression speed is incredibly fast. Not to mention becoming an Upper God, there is even some potential to achieve Supreme God status.

Yet, almost no God chooses this path, as it is fundamentally a dead end.

So, the only choice is the second path, which is Law Fusion.

By fusing different Laws, one can minimize the extent of fusion with World Laws. To a certain extent, this allows one to escape the world's control.

Fang Jie doesn't have to worry about this because he hasn't fused World Laws at all and doesn't rely on them.

After fusing Laws, one can forge their own path and step into the realm of Upper Gods.

"It seems I can already fuse them, just that the degree of fusion is insufficient." Fang Jie recalled his various Skills, which are all Skill fused from different Laws and have formed their own style.

After fusing his four kinds of Laws, they can automatically form the shape of a White Lotus.

Calling it White Lotus Law is somewhat justifiable. Only a few Skills have not taken the form of a four-Law fusion, but that's due to the lack of my level.

But the fusion is confined to the Skills; when not using the Skills, the Laws remain distinct and do not fuse.

Fang Jie tried and found that his Strength probably couldn't fuse them together.

Fang Jie continued to read, most Gods have only one Innate Law themselves, so they need to additionally understand a new Law and then fuse this Law with their Innate Law.

If fusing Innate Laws, the difficulty decreases, and the power of the fusion increases.

"Indeed, having more Innate Laws is beneficial; this is the impact of a robust foundation," Fang Jie whispered to himself.

Fang Jie felt that if he were to fuse two Innate Laws, he could easily do it. Fusing three was not impossible; it would just be more tiresome, but manageable with some adaptation.

The problem is, his Innate Laws amount to four, making the fusion complex.

Fang Jie doesn't want to break through by fusing two or three; although it's easy, it's wasteful. Once a path is set, there is no turning back. If one breaks through by fusing just two or three, their foundation diminishes.

Previously fused Skills using four Laws would degrade, and their power would weaken.

An unfused Law might never become an Innate Law in the future.

But fusing four is beyond his capability at the moment. He's already reached his limit; relying on his own Strength doesn't seem sufficient. "Wait, it seems others can't fuse Laws on their own either."

Fang Jie suddenly realized that normal Middle-Level Gods reaching the Peak can't fuse another Law with their own Laws. The external Law is harder to fully control.

Even if they manage to fuse, it's still weak in expression, and the difficulty of fusion does not decrease.

Fang Jie continued reading and finally understood. "So that's the purpose of the Divine Country. Normally, it's impossible for a Middle-Level God without a Divine Country to break through."

Fang Jie understood why there are so few Upper Gods. After all, there are not many Middle-Level Gods with Divine Countries.

They mostly rely on the power of the Divine Country to help fuse Laws. Clearly, Fang Jie's current Divine Country, though large among Middle-Level Gods, still doesn't meet the requirements.

According to the feedback and assistance from the Divine Country, Fang Jie feels his Divine Country should increase at least two to three times to meet the demands. If there's an error in calculation, it might need to be even bigger.

Divine Countries are indeed incredibly crucial for Gods, Fang Jie thought quietly to himself.

If those Middle-Level Gods don't know this and refuse to create their Divine Country through their own effort, waiting to do so post-breakthrough, they will never succeed in this lifetime.

Many Middle-Level Gods understand other Laws purely out of interest; most don't take the initiative to engage in these activities.

Thus, knowledge is truly important. If this knowledge were public, the current number of Upper Gods could increase tenfold without issue. Many times, Gods fail to break through not due to insufficient Talent but because they haven't found the path.
