Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 336: Upgrades before the Boss Raid ( 1 )

The Blood Alchemy Book's instructions weren't that complicated as it also had clear instructions. There was also room for errors since the success rate was actually incredibly high… Because of that, Shane wasn't too nervous during the process.

Furthermore, Cloud had also fully absorbed all the information inside the Blood Alchemy Book. Right now, instead of reading the book from time to time, he simply had to listen to Cloud and follow its instructions.

Anyway, Shane soon added the Mutagenic Serum, and the Elixir simmered over the fire.

As the hours passed, Shane watched the liquid transform. It glowed faintly, showing that it was indeed a magical concoction. When the time was right, or perhaps when Cloud instructed, he transferred it to a flask and sealed it tightly.

The Elixir would have to rest for six hours since its potency was still growing.

"Permanent Titan's Roar Skill without negative effects," he murmured, reading the remarks…

He could actually get the Armored Dash Skill if he just repeated the same process but the amount of blood between the two Zombies would be reversed.

"Armored Dash sounds cool…" Shane muttered.

After all, his movement skills were mostly used for escaping or for getting a better position in combat. However, the Armored Dash, as its name implies, was more of an aggressive attack than a movement technique.

He couldn't help but imagine using this skill in front of so many Zombies and crashing them with this ability.

Unfortunately, Shane still lacked Zombie Blood.

While waiting for the Elixir to be completely finished, Shane decided to open his Marketplace to see if there were people selling Giant Zombie's Blood or Juggernaut Zombie's Blood.

Since he had just obtained thousands of Zombie Cores from Lord Kang Zhen, he certainly wanted to splurge a little.

Thankfully, after several days of not checking the Marketplace for these types of blood, someone finally posted them.

Once again, the one selling them was actually Ghost Warden, with a few others from Raven Guard.

It seemed that after several days had passed, they were able to hunt several of them…

However, because they knew that someone was purchasing Zombie Blood of powerful Zombies, they seemed to have increased the price.

[ Seller: Ghost Warden

Item: 400mL of Juggernaut Zombie Blood

Description: A pack of Zombie Blood looted from a Juggernaut Zombie Blood.

Price: 90 Zombie Cores per 100mL ]

[ Seller: Ghost Warden

Item: 600mL of Giant Zombie Blood

Description: A pack of Zombie Blood looted from a Giant Zombie Zombie Blood.

Price: 105 Zombie Cores per 100mL ]

"Did they just kill 4 Juggernaut Zombies?" Shane was surprised as he saw 400mL of blood from Juggernaut Zombie. It seemed that Natalie's New Haven Clan was located in a place with many Juggernaut and Giant Zombie.

Previously, the price of Juggernaut Zombie Blood was only 30 Zombie Cores, but the price has already increased by 200%

Nonetheless, Shane still decided to purchase all of them and spent a total of 990 Zombie Cores.

The next seller was Raven Guard, the one suspected as Asad… The one who was always in the top 2 in the Survivor Leaderboard.

His price was actually a lot more expensive since he was probably hunting these Zombies alone while Natalies hunted them in large groups, making it easier for them to kill these Zombies in large quantities.

[ Seller: Raven Guard

Item: 100mL of Juggernaut Zombie Blood

Description: A pack of Zombie Blood looted from a Juggernaut Zombie Blood.

Price: 100 Zombie Cores ]

[ Seller: Raven Guard

Item: 300mL of Giant Zombie Blood

Description: A pack of Zombie Blood looted from a Giant Zombie Zombie Blood.

Price: 130 Zombie Cores per 100mL ]

Well, he only had 100mL for Juggernaut and 300mL for Giant Zombie, so it wasn't a lot. Nonetheless, it was better than nothing, so Shane still purchased all of them and spent another 490 Zombie Cores.

In the end, he still lacked 300mL of Juggernaut Zombie for his Armored Dash Skill.

'Well, I can probably acquire them before the Boss Raid.' Shane thought to himself since there was still a week before the Raid.

Shane then continued browsing the Marketplace to find anything that might catch his interest.

'Ohh… There are a lot of weapons options now. I guess everyone's starting to get the hang of it.' Shane mused as he noticed that numerous cold weapons were for sale.

It appears that many Survivors had learned crafting or smithing, as numerous swords of various grades appeared in the Market.

Shane doesn't need these items but he certainly felt that the Survivors were starting to prosper with this many weapons being sold in the Market…

The stage of the Apocalypses, where there was a huge lack of food and weapons, had already passed, and everyone was already farming for experience points and various loots.

Shane then closed the Marketplace after some time, and after confirming that he still had enough time, he felt that he could try using his Otherworldly Mechanic talent.

His talent actually had many other uses aside from dismantling, repairing, and improving other items. There was a part where he could create a completely new machine, but it would cost a lot more Reputation Points since, aside from his materials, he would still buy other parts in the Anima Store. Your next chapter is on empire

'Well, if it's too expensive… I'll just try to improve it then…' Shane mused. Even though he had hundreds of reputation points right now, it hadn't been easy to acquire them. It means that getting more of them might take a lot of time, so he doesn't want to splurge too much.

Nonetheless, he knew that the Boss Raid Event was important and needed some better weapons since he could not bring summons there. It is only an event for Survivors and their Soulbound Pets.

Shane then placed three mechanical items on the table: the Mechanical Grappling Hook, the Steam-Powered Exoskeleton, and the Portable Energy Generator he had recently obtained.

As if responding to his intent, his Otherworldly Mechanic Talent activated, overlaying a holographic interface in front of him.

The options were clear: Dismantle the items for materials or Improve them.
