Mura stopped his ice jutsu as he ran inside the building, slipping through ninjas who looked like they were frozen but didn’t find anything. The building was small and he had checked every room but he couldn’t find Anko or anyone that matched the description of the merchant.

“Ahh, I can’t waste time!” Mura complained and walked around the house again until he eyes lit up.

He walked around again just to confirm until he came across a part of the floor that felt weaker than the rest and when he tapped it with his feet, it sounded hollow.

Mura couldn’t believe he missed that! There was a small gap that part of Gilgamesh's mist had sipped in but he couldn’t see it properly due to the mist. Without skipping a beat, Mura slid open the wooden slab and entered the underground part of the building. There were many rooms there but Mura could hear muffled sobbing and made his way to the sound until he found a locked door.

While training with Gilgamesh, Mura begins to develop and heighten his sensory skills because of the nature of Gilgamesh’s attacks and jutsus which can’t be sensed. Mura couldn’t sense his attacks still but could sense danger around him. Mura didn’t sense any danger behind the door as he forced open the locked door by pushing the handle with his hand, breaking the lock in the process.

Mura soon found out that it was a lady in light green robes clutched at the bed sheets fortifying herself at the corner of the bed. She too had already passed out due to the mist reaching her as well. Mura confirmed that she met the description and carried her on his back and was about to leave when he remembered Anko.

Mura found a lady bound tightly by ropes and paper bombs on the bars of the cell holding her. Mura gulped as he dropped the lady on his back on the ground carefully. Mura took a deep breath and began freezing the paper bombs carefully and opened the cell door after freezing the lock easily. He repeated the same process for Anko, untied her, carried the ladies and headed out of the building!

“Finally!” Mura smiled as he activated his Ice jutsu to slide away. But before he could even finish activating the ice Jutsu, the mist suddenly cleared and everyone regained their senses.

“What happened? Hey, he is with our hostages? Get him!” One of the bandits close to Mura's position shouted as a manhunt began.

Tens of bandit ninjas chased Mura who was escaping while sliding on the ground with his ice style.

“Stop him with your jutsu!” The bandit leader ordered as he had already caught up with his men, he couldn’t even understand how the teenager sliding away in ice in front of him managed to sneak past him, release Anko without exploding into tiny bits and the merchant without anyone knowing! All he knew now was that the only leverage he had in the ransom he declared was in front of him and he wouldn’t let go no matter what.

His men did as he said as low-powered fireballs and water bullets streaked ahead of them.

Cursing in his breath, Mura weaved hand signs for his water armour jutsu but remembered he was not alone. He was about to switch chakra natures when a huge snake no bigger than a fully grown man appeared behind them and tanked the damage.

The appearance of the snake startled the pursuing bandits and they halted their pace as they remembered how Anko and her snakes cut their numbers down to what it is today.

Mura used that opportunity to escape even faster since he was on a time limit.

“Slow… down boy. You must be that new ninja in the village right?” Anko asked with a kunai to Mura’s throat.

I don’t have time for this.’ Mura thought as he leapt high in the sky and created another ice slide to usher their escape out of the village without using the main roads to avoid diplomatic problems.

“Oh, you are quite skilled but you haven’t answered my question.” Anko pressed.

“You can ask Ebisu and master yourself.” Mura replied pointing upwards. Anko looked up straining her eyes for a while until she saw what looked like Ebisu… flying.

“Eh??? Is this genjutsu?” Anko replied with her jaw dropped and her kunai lowered. She refused to believe that Ebisu learnt something useful before her.

Mura eventually reached the rendezvous point as Gilgamesh and Ebisu descended.

“So it’s true.” Anko could finally relax when she confirmed it was Ebisu and not some ninja using a transformation Jutsu.

She turned and looked at Gilgamesh who scolded his subordinate for wasting time rescuing them and couldn’t believe the kind of person Mura was stuck with for a captain and decided to intervene.

“Look here. I don’t even know how you managed to become a registered ninja in Konoha without attending the academy but you can’t talk to him like that. I don’t even know how I was rescued but he did it anyway with paper bombs wrapped around me and my cell. Last I checked, I am still with all my limbs.” Anko reprimanded Gilgamesh who looked at her with a frown.

Just as he was about to lay hands on his shoulder, the air got heavy for half a second.

“Don’t touch me.” Gilgamesh growled, giving Anko a side view of his face.

“Ah, Gil Gilgamesh san. You don’t have to be hard on Anko.” Ebisu tried to de-escalate the situation while the merchant lady couldn’t believe that such a threatening aura belonged to someone the same age as her little brother.

“No. What do you mean Ebisu? He’s a kid for goodness sake! He should learn to respect those older than him even though he is the captain of his team. I don’t even know how The Third allowed for this to happen but I can’t let the person who rescued us be treated like this!” Anko replied firmly as she retracted her hand unfazed by the quick warning Gilgamesh gave.
