"Ghost Princess, have you gone mad?" Yao Hu berated.

In his view, Liang Qian shouldn't be so afraid of Chu Hao. What was really going on?

Liang Qian said, "Yao Hu, Master Chu Tian's strength far exceeds our collective imagination. I advise you to surrender as well."

Yao Hu was furious. "Do you even know what you're doing?"

Liang Qian nodded. "Perfectly clear."

Yao Hu roared, "The Cult Leader will not let you off!"

Chu Hao suddenly appeared before Yao Hu and said coldly, "That so-called Nether Cult... I will be paying it a visit. I hope some of you can actually stop me."

He grabbed for Yao Hu's hand, intending to capture him, but the latter just let out a cold laugh.

"Be careful, it's poisoned!" Liang Qian warned.

Chu Hao immediately felt a burning, searing pain in his palm. He released Yao Hu and looked at his hand; it had already turned black, with Ghost Qi emanating from it.

Yao Hu burst into laughter, bragging arrogantly, "Kid, I advise you to hand over the Taoist Treasure promptly. Only I have the antidote to this poison."

Liang Qian's heart stirred. The evil technique Yao Hu cultivated was terrifying. He had turned his entire body into a poisonous entity. These toxins were crafted using baleful Ghost Qi, and coupled with his constant ingestion of poisons, he himself was an old master of poisons. Ordinary people dared not touch him, for a single contact meant certain death. Chu Hao possessed Heaven-reach abilities, but could he neutralize the poison?

The Ghost Princess watched Chu Hao, wondering how he would choose.

Both of them then saw Chu Hao's complexion change wildly, his face turning dark.

SHIT!! I've actually been poisoned! Isn't this the kind of ridiculous plot that only happens in TV dramas?

With an awkward expression, Chu Hao said, "So... how would you like to negotiate?"

Yao Hu laughed heartily, his arrogance unbounded. "What Taoist Master? You're nothing special. Hand over the True Word Brush, and maybe you can still save your own skin."

Chu Hao's expression turned cold, his aura shifting once again. "You're pushing your luck. Do you really think a mere Ghost Poison can harm me, this Taoist Master? Too naive."

Yao Hu snorted coldly. "You'll soon realize the power of this Ghost Poison."

Chu Hao thought to himself, "System, can this Ghost Poison be dealt with using the Ghost Devouring Technique?"

The System replied, "Absolutely. This evil technique is crafted using yin and Ghost Qi."

Chu Hao stared at Yao Hu and said, "This Taoist Master was showing off... No, that's not right! When this Taoist Master was playing with poisons, you were still just a drop of liquid! This kind of Ghost Poison is mere child's play to me. You'd better prepare how you're going to display your despair shortly."

Then, under their astonished gazes, he lifted his palm to his mouth and inhaled sharply. They watched as the Ghost Qi from his palm was sucked into his mouth.

Suddenly, Yao Hu snapped back to reality. He saw a peculiar glint in Chu Hao's eyes as he looked at him—it was the look one might give a perfectly roasted whole lamb. The guy was even swallowing, making audible gulping sounds.

FUCK!! What's with that look? It's like you're about to devour me!

Yao Hu struggled to suppress his terror and asked, "What did you do?"

Chu Hao wiped his mouth and said calmly, "Nothing much, just drooling a bit."

Damn it, you think I couldn't see that? Just watching you drool gives me the creeps!

Chu Hao clasped his hands behind his back and said seriously, "Don't say I didn't give you a chance. Make your move."

"You dare underestimate me!"

Despite his words, Yao Hu was inwardly ecstatic. This was an opportunity! His opponent was willing to take one of his attacks; naturally, he would use his most powerful evil technique to eliminate him.

Yao Hu's expression turned ferocious. "If you're looking for death, then don't blame me!"

Yao Hu's body began to blur, as if wreathed in black smoke.

His long robe billowed, as if something were squirming beneath it.

From under his feet, out of his sleeves, and from his collar, swarms of densely packed insects crawled out. These creatures, each the size of a fingernail, flew into the air. In mere moments, a small cloud of them hovered above his head.

A young man out for his morning exercises passed by and saw what looked like a dark cloud hovering over Yao Hu's head. He rubbed his eyes.

"...Where did that dark cloud come from?"

Chu Hao had excellent eyesight. He saw the flickering wings of these tiny insects; their faces resembled eerie, smiling human visages, much like the Ghost Face Bugs described in ancient texts.

Yao Hu was indeed worthy of his rank as the third of the Nether Cult's Twelve Great Protectors. These Ghost Face Bugs were refined from yin ghosts, specifically from Wandering Wild Ghosts that roamed the wilderness, transforming these spirits into insects.

These ghosts, already brimming with resentment, became even more malevolent after being refined into insects. The moment they appeared, a terrifying yin energy surged forth, obscuring the sky and sun, and a bone-chilling cold spread from all directions.

The sky was filled with a dense swarm of insects, like a dark cloud.

This spectacle was witnessed by many passersby, who mistook it for an impending rain shower.

Yao Hu let out a wild howl, hoping to see a flicker of fear in his opponent's eyes.

But he saw no fear in Chu Hao's eyes. On the contrary, it was Yao Hu who felt fear.

Chu Hao wasn't afraid in the slightest; in fact, he was incredibly excited, his eyes fixed intently on the Ghost Face Bugs as if he were gazing upon a sumptuous feast.

Yao Hu suddenly had a terrible premonition.

Yao Hu said with a hideous grin, "Hmph! Go die!"

The Ghost Face Bugs lunged forward in countless numbers.

The True Word Brush appeared in Chu Hao's hand. He wrote the 'Lin' character, drooling as he declared, "None of you are allowed to leave!"

The power of the True Word activated, and an area tens of meters in radius was instantly enveloped by a restrictive barrier, trapping the dense swarm of Ghost Face Bugs, along with Yao Hu and Liang Qian.

Yao Hu was startled. What on earth was he planning to do?

The Ghost Face Bugs were too numerous; they swarmed forward and completely enveloped Chu Hao.
