GENE EVOLUTION: MY PETS ARE DIVINE

Chapter 11: CHAPTER 10 ACADEMY?

"At least I have something to focus on other than the entertainment in this world."

He then looks downward, his pants are stretched, and what Eclipshea had done earlier has invoked something inside of him.

He has to occupy his brain with something that will exhaust his entire being, what is a better choice than practicing a body-tempering technique?

Rich people have an advantage in this compared to the poor.

First, the nutrition that they need to continue practicing such techniques is incredibly high, and most things that involve improving strength and health are considered ridiculously expensive.

One can only venture into the Realm of the Thousand Worlds and hunt genetic creatures to help them cultivate, but the danger that they need to face will have them dancing by the edge of their lives.

Wasting energy in that place is considered an unspoken taboo.

Practicing body tempering techniques might be extremely useful, but it also costs a lot of energy from the practitioner, practically draining them of all of their energy.

Fortunately, humans are social creatures; they hunt with a couple of individuals that they can trust or that have mutual benefits and some sort of agreement.

Leon can return to the Realm of the Thousand Worlds and start practicing there, he does not need to worry about being attacked when exhausted as he has his pet, and he only hunts in the territory of the normal-grade creatures near the stronghold.

But he decided to practice in the true world, he wants to wait for his weapons to be delivered, and he can only hope that his pet is capable of wielding them efficiently and not harming itself during any battle.

Inside an empty room, Leon is using the equipment available for him to push his body to its limit.

He can wish for any equipment available in his family, and Eclipshea would send it without any hindrance as she is his personal robot.

For others, it is impossible to enter, even if it is his sister, it is an ironclad rule in their family that no one or nothing other than some special circumstances is to disturb anyone training in the empty void room.

BANG! He drops some weight equipment, Leon is feeling lightheaded, he is wearing clothing that grows heavier with every passing second, causing him to wheeze, trying to gather as much air as possible.

"F*ck! Twofold gravity is truly too much for a beginner like me!" He complains loudly, but he does not dispel the effect and once again tries to stand up.

BAM! Cleo's Clone appears and punches him, he cannot help but vomit after taking the punch, but unfortunately for him, his pet does not stop and continues to beat him up for thirty seconds before stopping.

He is groaning in pain, but he is not angry at his pet, as he is the one who ordered it to beat him for thirty seconds every five minutes.

This was pure torture for him, but surprisingly, for someone as weak-willed as him, he does not stop such a sadistic method of training.

His mind kept repeating the scenes of his suffering.

He then recalls the information regarding the dangers of this world.

He has decided to himself that he will grow stronger, and if such training hastens the process of his growth, he does not mind suffering.

His pet will not kill him, the room is designed to forcefully shut down if the person inside is in danger, and the thing that he is most confident of is the system, it will tell him if he is pushing things too far.

[Warning! Warning! Host's mind is on the verge of breaking down! Please halt the tempering process!]

Leon weakly raises his hand, stopping the function of the room.

He lays there like a dead frog, and he laughs bitterly.

His mind was the first one to give up, not his body.

He is disappointed in himself, but one thing that he is good at is finding reasons to keep going.

"Fortunately, I have an invulnerable soul, if not, my mind would have been the weakest part of my body." He mumbles to himself.

He comes out of the room, totally beaten up and exhausted.

He just wants to sleep and rest.

He takes a deep breath and decides that he will once again return to the room once the system determines that he has rested enough.

After sleeping for only three hours, he is woken up by the system's loud notifications.

He is annoyed, but he knows that it was only doing what he had asked for.

Sighing for what is about to happen, he can only brace himself and returns to the void room.

This is his routine throughout the entire night, his body is wrecked by the continuous torture he puts himself into.

"Master, your swords have arrived, where do you want me to put them?"

Eclipshea quickly greets him as he comes out of the room with an appearance that is clearly different from his usual one.

"@&£€¥$@#" He speaks in a gibberish tone as his teeth are broken and his mouth is broken; fortunately for him, Eclipshea can decipher his command, and she quickly brings the four swords back into his room.

'I need to rest before going back to the Realm of the Thousand Worlds.'

This thought flashes in his mind—not just a simple rest that he has been doing but a total shutdown for his brain and extreme rest for his body.

He had a very long sleep, he does not know how long, but he is confident that was the best sleep he had in both lives.

"Huh? Where am I?" As he tries to stand, he is surprised that he finds himself inside a pod.

Looking around, he finds identical pods that host other people.

"Master, you have awakened, I have brought you here from the command of your sister."

Eclipshea appears and tells him what had happened.

She explains the usage of the pod. "This is the medicinal pod that can increase your strength with every usage, your body was in the perfect condition for it's therapy."

'I have forgotten that this world is much more advanced compared to my old world.'

He cannot help but smile bitterly, he could have used this machine much earlier.

"Why have you not reminded me about this treatment?" He asks, knowing that Eclipshea should be programmed to do such a thing.

"The master's body is not adequate to use the pod, the nutrients are too vast, and the medicinal fluid is too potent. Only after reaching the small success stage did I register such a treatment method in my brain bank."

'Small success stage?'

He is confused, sure, he has been working hard, but this should not warrant that he had reached this stage in just a dozen days or so.

[Your body has absorbed all the power that Cleo's Clone sends in its attack, and I have distributed all the power all over your body, tempering each part without fail.]

[At the same time, the cells that have been improved by your forty normal gene enhancements have been circulating all over your body at a pace fivefold faster than a normal practitioner.]

[Your talent (overwork) is responsible for such a unique movement.]

He remembers that this talent pushes his body to a certain limit, but unfortunately, he does not know how to activate the talent. It should have been an active talent, but because he is not the original owner of his body, it seems that it has become a passive one.

"At least I have obtained such a rare ability that can help me cultivate faster."

Clenching his fist, he can feel the power coursing through them.

'I should complete my normal gene enhancement before hunting the sword slave; I also need Cleo's clone to evolve into its second state.'

He thought, knowing that with his forty genetic enhancements, he is physically stronger than his pet.

Now that he has that hungry fish as a pet, he no longer needs to worry about wasting the corpses of his hunts.

He does not know that his improvement is actually much faster than that of most average genetic warriors.

The main reason for this is that he had to experience the painful process of cleansing before he decided to train any body-tempering technique.

"I need to return back to the Realm of the Thousand Worlds." Just as he said this, Eclipshea informs him about something.

"Master, you need to return to the academy first; you have been absent for an extended period of time. If you continue on this path, you will be kicked out."

'I am f*cked! '

This is the only thought that flashed in his mind, as he has no idea about the academy that his predecessor studied in.

He clears his throat and asks. "Eclipshea, do you know where the academy is? As you have known, I have some gaps in my memory."

'Besides, there is no record in your programme about my predecessor entering any sort of academy, are you purposely trying to screw me over!?' He screams inwardly.

"Negative, the location of the academy is only accessible to the students, even personal robots are forbidden to find their location."

Hearing this, he is actually quite shocked.

"Then, do you know someone in this household that knows the location of the academy?"

He knows that the parents of his predecessor will definitely not like it if he is kicked out of the academy, so he must find a way to enter and tell the teachers about his current condition.

"There are several individuals in this category, your personal maid Emily, the three servants of the Oriend Family, Elcio, Markus, and Reggie."

"Unfortunately, I am not informed about those from your other family, I am forbidden to access any sensitive information regarding the descendants of the Oriend Family."

'Well, that is not actually surprising, knowing that such a large family definitely has a lot of members, and many of them are definitely vying for a higher position in the family.'

While many of his cousins are building their own power and increasing their authority in the younger generation of their family, he, on the other hand, relies on his sister for protection and, basically, for most of his desires.

He sighs and tells Eclipshea to call Elcio and Emily to accompany him back to the academy, the two have been stationed to monitor and protect him, but they have been failing this task multiple times already.

They have been feeling anxious, especially Elcio. Margaret has been scolding them almost daily, causing him to feel infuriated, not of her or even Leon, as he is taught not to hate his master.

What infuriates him is his own inability to actually tail someone as inexperienced as Leon, making his position shaky.

Unlike Emily, who was a genius, he was only able to enter the Cultivator Academy of their world because of the connection that the Oriend Family has in the academy.

If he fails to live up to his tasks, he might be kicked out of his position and replaced by another servant.

"Elcio, this is Eclipshea, the master is calling you to escort him to the academy."

Just as he is contemplating what to do, he receives a notification from Eclipshea.

His eyes light up, and he bursts out laughing.

He knows that once Leon is inside the academy, he will be unable to come out for an entire month.

He felt relieved, but his body is already moving towards the lobby.

Emily is the same, but unlike him worrying about his position, she is worried for Leon as she knows that his memory is still not complete.

Meanwhile, Leon is currently fidgeting in his seat, he cannot believe that he has to waste his time going to an academy when he can spend his time wisely in the Realm of the Thousand Worlds to grow stronger with each hunt.

The door opens, and his two servants finally arrive.

Both of them bow to him, but he quickly gestures for them to stop.

He is not used to the treatment of the servants by their master in this world.

They are basically like those from the ancient era of his old world, but the strictness of social status is basically like the era of nobility and royalties.
