Chapter 2: wano

- Amigasa Village: Tenguyama Hitetsu Hut -

Naruto rocked the six months old Tama to sleep in front of the warmth of the flames of the forge, protecting her from the cold winter as the master swordsmith hammered away at Sasuke's former chokutō. Currently, the blade was being reforged and sharpened because of Tenguyama Hitetsu's insistence. According to the old swordsmith, He told him that Sasuke's former sword was a blade of superior quality and durability to most swords in the world. Only the Meito blades surpass Sasuke's sword.

Naruto recalled the words of the Tengu mask wearing elder man when he inspected the blade and examined it for the first time.

"This sword isn't a Meito blade. It has qualities similar to immense cutting power and exceptional durability compared to other blades. But it has one deep flaw. The blade is already becoming dull. It looks like the sword has been through a lot. Reforging and sharpening the blade can help it. But I will take it a step further. After I am done with it, the blade won't dull again."

The older man opted to reforge the sword during the winter, as the cold weather was the best time to forge under these conditions. Naruto watched the sparking flames dancing in the winter sky as his foster sister slept heavily, undisturbed by the sound of the blade hammering. The black silhouette of the night shadows reminded him of a monster worse than Orochi.

"Black Zetsu..." Naruto's blue eyes flared with anger at him, remembering the waste of space. Naruto could forgive people for many things, but that didn't extend to Black Zetsu. That thing had played a deceptive act that Kaguya would never do. Knowing he couldn't face Naruto in a fair fight, he crippled Naruto emotionally with grief. Sasuke's death was already hard for him. But when Black Zetsu orchestrates everyone's deaths through the use of the Divine Tree. That was the final straw. Naruto was stunned with grief at being the last human on his earth. What Black Zetsu did was illogical and insane, that couldn't be reasoned in terms of humanity. Naruto had forcibly blocked his memories about the downfall of his people, although he had a hunch about how it had happened.

Naruto turned his mind to the elder man working on the sword as he cradled Tama. The man was annoying, but he cared for him and Tama. Ignoring the ring of the hammer strikes, Naruto began to meditate silently to enter his Mindscape. His nine friends supported him through his depression, that lasted a year caused by Black Zetsu's actions. Throughout the following year, the Tailed Beasts tried to bring him out of his year-long depression a mixture of Kurama threats, Shukaku bombastic jokes, Matatabi comforting him, Isobu helpful distractions, Son-Goku witty remarks, Kokou encouraging words, Saiken soothing singing, Chomei happy lucky-go personality, and Gyuki's hilarious attempt of rapping like Killer Bee, they brought him out of his shell and reignite his will of fire.

But since he came to Wano, the nine residents within the seal have been in a deep coma for the past year. As Naruto entered the Mindscape, hoping for any change. Instead, he was greeted with the usual echoing silence in the sewer corridor he had gotten over the past year. The nine beasts were curled asleep in a coma, unresponsive to his words and actions. The only sign of their life was their steady breathing and light chakra levels that contradicted their functionality. These nine creatures were supposed to be full of life and Chakra.

"Damn this... They are the only ones I have left from my old world. How could it have come to this?" Naruto vehemently thought before punching the sewer wall. Cracks formed on it before the wall reformed itself. Blue eyes softened as he looked at the nine sleeping beasts. Finally, Naruto sat cross-legged and began to speak.

"Yo, guys, I'm living happily just like you asked me to. I have a foster sister called Tama. She is awesome you know..." Naruto chuckled as he began to recount his tales of the past year with his family.

- The Void -

Darkness and Light. Dying and Living. Remembering and forgetting. Pain and numbness. The Void was that and neither.

Naruto felt like his entire body was in a tug of war, being turned into nothing and then reforming before disappearing completely. He could barely feel something at one moment, then he was overloaded with stimuli. His pain receptors were being turned on and off. If this was hell, then Naruto wondered what he did wrong to be sent here.

But he knew he was alive as he heard the voices within him. Chakra was emitting in his body as the nine began to create a shroud to protect.

"Hang in there, Naruto!" Kurama screamed within Naruto's seal as he prepared to pour all his chakra into Naruto.

"We are losing him, the seal is turning dark, no wait it's turning light no it's turning- WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?" panicked Shukaku as he held his face in horror.

"Knock it off, you damn Racoon! It's already hard enough without your babbling.," grumbled Kurama before proceeding to flip him off.

Shukaku was about to respond to the comment when Son-Goku intercepted between them.

THWACK

THWACK

"Enough with this. You two need to focus. If we cannot save Naruto from this place..." the red-furred monkey shouts at his brothers as he delivers simultaneous blows on their heads, then clasps his hands to mold his chakra to save his Jinchūriki.

A white horse with a dolphin's face stomped her hooves in anger, before saying, "Including Naruto, we will all suffer a fate worse than death if we cannot save him from this. Your bickering is a liability." Kokuō mutters as she glares at her fighting siblings as she begins to flow her chakra into Naruto.

Both Kurama and Shukaku rubbed their sore heads with their paws, glared at each other, and gave the red monkey a stink eye before following their sibling's procedure.

Chomei fluttered her six wings and tail in a nervousness, her known lucky happiness gone. "A fate worse than death," the rhino beetle squeaked in dread. "This is so unlucky. Don't have the boy, and we suffered enough, and what is even this place?" Chomei complained.

"This is a Void between realties. It's an emptiness found between in between dimensions. Containing absolutely nothing. Absence of light, darkness, up or down. No Life and Death. No time and space. Without end. The Space-Time rift of the wretched bastard was botched on purpose. Damn him and his Space-Time Ninjutsu. If we don't get out of here soon before we become a part of it. I don't want to be consumed and reborn at this moment for eternity." Isobu said in a serious voice.

"The problem is, are we gonna be able to hold out before we even get out of this place?"Matatabi hisses in frustration. Her agitation was shown by her bristled blue flaming tails and flat ears.

"It's true... Our chakra levels are plummeting faster than a past treaty between allied nations..." Saiken mutters with a worried tone.

Naruto couldn't hear his tenants talk, but he could feel them pouring their chakra for his survival.

"Everyone... hold on, I will try to help?" Naruto mouthed out as his voice didn't seem to work in this place. What he saw in the void was something he couldn't comprehend. The only thing Naruto understood from it was. "I am not supposed to be here. Nothing is supposed to be here!" Naruto realized with deep fervor.

The pitch-black smoke and shadowy tendrils that were enveloping him were flickering across his skin, trying to consume him. It would have succeeded if not for the multicolored shroud of chakra covering his body, fighting the dark smoke and shadow tendrils. Suddenly, Naruto chakra was added to the mixture of chakras. The chakra shroud turned into a dome of safety. For a moment, things were looking okay. Then Naruto almost collapses as nearly all his chakra is consumed in one go. His consciousness was fading. Naruto didn't know if he would be killed from chakra exhaustion first or be eaten by the nothingness in the void.

"We're almost there, Naruto. Don't die on us!" Gyuki roared in frustration as he tried to supply Naruto with chakra.

Suddenly Gyuki felt a hole in the nothingness, tiny as it was. Feeling it might be their only chance of escaping this place, he directed his chakra through the hole. Bit by bit, the hole became bigger. But, even with the massive amount of chakra that Gyuki had, it wasn't enough. Realizing this, all the Tailed Beasts began to copy Gyuki, and the size of the rift accelerated even more.

"Naruto, listen to me! You have to help us if you want to escape this place!" Kurama's voice jolted Naruto from his stupor. But, unfortunately, he and his siblings couldn't open the hole indefinitely for Naruto to pass through.

"I'm... trying!" Naruto thought as he vehemently tried to reach the rift that was a blinding light in the void. Thrusting himself towards the rift, Naruto could see what was beyond the rift. His blue eyes reflected the scenery that was in his grasp. A world he can escape to from this emptiness. The nothingness surrounding him shattered into the light of the world he entered.

Naruto felt himself falling through the air. After spending some time in the void, Naruto's senses were overwhelmed by everything. Naruto's dazed look turned into a hardened edge as he saw the dreadful weather, with strong, strange winds that caused the clouds and ocean waves to take a swirling form. The hardened look of Naruto turned pale white upon seeing his landing zone. A whirlpool rivaling the ones surrounding the Land of Whirlpools, the Uzumaki ancestral homeland. Said Whirlpool was atop a large strip of waterfalls that stretched across the horizon.

Chakra control or Water Walking these waters could kill Naruto in his weakened state via drowning.

Naruto opened his mouth and cursed the one who sent him here. "BLACK ZETSU, I SWEAR I'M GOING TO KILL YOU." Naruto screams over the roar of the water. Then Naruto hits the water in a resounding noise.

"SPLASH" echoed the impact like a cannon that was barely covered by the roar of the waterfall.

"Wait, why is the splash larger than it should sound?" Naruto thought as he sank deeper into the water before passing out.

"Did you hear that?"

On a sea stack in the outer seas of the Land of Wano was the newly built defensive system, made of manually operated cannons to keep intruders like rival pirates of the World Government forces out of the isolated land of Wano.

A Guard called Holed'em was peering out to the sea of a whirlpool through a pair of binoculars. He was a large man with a squared jaw and black lips.

"Holed'em, it must have been the wind, or it was nothing." Hiccups a drunk guard to Holed'em.

"Maybe you are right. But I could swear I have heard a scream..." Holed'em say as he scratched his head in confusion.

"Bah, it's boring out here, nothing has happened since Kozuki Oden died..." said another drunk guard before looking at Holed'em. "C'mon Holed'em, let's get drunk until the next shift comes in."

"You Idiots, I am not risking my promotion," mutters the square-jawed man as he continues to fulfill his duty and continued to fulfill his job.

-Land of Wano: Beaches of Udon-

With a start, Naruto woke, gasping for breath and coughing up sand. Shielding his eyes from the bright sun, he shakily got to his feet and took in his surroundings. The beach he was on seemed to stretch on for miles, as did the ocean, though if he strained his eyes, he could just make out a landmass in the distance. He could swear there was a gigantic skull-shaped rock. Naruto then turned behind, facing inland, only to see a gigantic empty wasteland that lacked trees or animals. Not opting to risk his life going to the wasteland with preparation. Naruto sat cross-legged and began to meditate as he entered the seal.

The sound of water could be heard, and Naruto was walking through the sewer within his mindscape. He felt out for his tenant's chakra and was surprised by what he felt. "I can sense their presence, but their chakra seems much weaker than it should be." Naruto thought.

Entering the sealing room, Naruto asked in a nervous voice, "Guys, where did you guys send me.? There isn't any Geography like this in the Elemental Nations?"

He then stopped in surprise as he stared at the Tailed Beasts with a shocked expression.

In front of him, Kurama slumped tiredly, "Naruto..." He said in a weary voice like a person who just went through an exhausting surgery to reattach his arm with medical Ninjutsu; Naruto had seen that happen after a training exercise with a Chunin who got tangled with a razor-sharp wire. Sakura ended up giving him midfield surgery that reattached his arm.

The other Tailed Beasts, their fur heavy and matted, moved slowly, their bodies trembling with weakness and exhaustion. The sight was unnerving, their thin frames resembling a ravaged Kurama after Naruto's forceful chakra extraction, but with a chillingly desperate air. Their eyes, heavy with exhaustion, sent a clear message: each Tailed Beast was completely drained.

Naruto, feeling concerned for them, yelled fretfully at the Tailed Beasts, "Hey, what's wrong! Are you guys ok?"

"Can you be quiet? My head is killing me." Son Goku snapped at him with irritation as his head and eyes began to droop from deep fatigue.

Naruto shook his head. "Not until you guys explain how I can help you!" he said with deep concern at the state.

Shukaku yawned before curling even tighter into himself.

"Someone tells this Idiot, I'm too tired to deal with this..." Shukaku mutters as his eyes closed and he began to snore.

Gyuki lifted one of his tentacles that were covering his eyes. "To answer your first question. Will you believe us? If we told you we were in another dimension." Gyuki said drowsily.

"Oh Sage, for what did you send us here?" Naruto asked as he paced around before he felt deep irritation coming from Kurama. Although his body felt strange, Naruto pushed that thought aside.

"Saving your life, you dummy," Kurama growled at him before slumping tiredly.

"Yeah, but how? I was only stuck in that place..."asked a confused Naruto.

Kurama paused before turning to the three-tailed turtle who was withdrawing into his shell.

"My forte is nuclear physics and quantum physics. I think this is your specialty, Isobu. I mean, it's dimensional hopping. You have your own Space-Time to hide in, don't you?" Kurama asked the three-tailed turtle.

"I want to sleep..." Isobu glares at Kurama with pure exhaustion

"I understand that none of us has reached this stage of fatigue in our long life."squeaked Chomei exhaustedly as she folded her wings and entered a cocoon that she made for herself.

"But only you, Isobu, can explain this to him faster and better so we can sleep soundlessly without worry and him asking questions." Kokou, who was resting as she looked at Naruto with sad and tired eyes.

Isobu mutters something that Naruto can't hear before looking at him and lets out a tired sigh.

"Naruto, we just traveled to another dimension thanks to the escaping the void that our adversary Black Zetsu sent us to. The Void is the emptiness in between dimensions. Containing absolutely nothing. No light, and no dark, no up, no down. No life and death. No time. Without end," Isobu explained as he repeated the words he said to the Tailed beasts before in the Void.

"So that thing was a void. So, is it very dangerous?" Naruto asks as he feels a sweat trickle down his face in fear.

"It tried to consume you into nothing Naruto, if it had eaten you away, your soul would have been consumed too." Son Goku explains to him as Naruto paled at the information.

"I see... and why does my body feel different?" asked Naruto as he tried to change the topic.

"Just look at yourself." Matatabi meows before she lets out a yawn.

Naruto and his eyes bugged in surprise before he asked in a quiet voice, "What in the Sage's name am I looking at here?"

It was him, but it was not the same as before. His facial features were the same; His whiskers were still there, same blonde hair, no missing limbs or any injury changed his body. The only thing about him that was different was that his body proportions had changed.

The last time he checked was 1.8 meters. He had a growth rate since the war ended two years ago. Now he seems to have jumped to 2.73 meters. Shinobi were taught how to measure the distance and the height of enemies from the academy, all for the sake of helping them to throw shuriken and Kunai with better accuracy.

Saiken sags to the sewer floor as she says, "To answer your question and why we are so tired? We spent all of our Chakra to protect you from the void, Naruto. There is no human who can survive in a void, it was consuming you to nothing, we spent almost of all our chakra to keep you from turning to a puddle of nothing, the result was this as your body was stressed by us keeping you alive and being consumed, your build changed especially your height," explained the six tailed bipedal slug.

Suddenly, a deep shudder ran through the bodies of every Tailed Beast. Each of them shared a look, and a silent agreement was made.

"Looks like this is our limit, Naruto," Gyuki sighs before proudly saying, "I'm proud of how you matured the last 2 years." As he gives Naruto a gentle fist bump to his chest.

"Limit what are-" Naruto began to ask in confusion.

"Look after yourself, Naruto," Kokou interrupts as she nudges Naruto gently with her nose in affection.

"Be Happy Naruto. You have others out there ..." Matatabi mummers as she curls her warm tails around Naruto, lifting him to Chomei's head.

"Wait, do you mean-" Naruto, his eyes widening.

"She is right, humans exist here. You have a chance here to live," explained Chomei as she beckoned her head as Naruto sat atop it.

"As much as you love us and we love you. We aren't enough for you, you need humans, Naruto..." Son Goku told him as he picked him up from Chomei's head and held him in his palm.

Naruto looked at everyone with a panicking face. "Hold on a second, why are you talking to me like this... Like you are leaving me." Naruto's voice trembled with deep panic.

Shukaku for once had a worried face at Naruto, panicking, "It's only for a while, but we will be back. We need to recover our chakra. If we don't, we will die."

"I thought tailed beasts can be killed but not die. They will reform their dispersed chakra..."Naruto was shocked by the new information.

"We are not immortal Naruto. If we expend more chakra than we can recharge, we will die and now we are hanging by a sliver of our chakra," Saiken explains as Naruto's shock turned into deep worry for their health.

"How can I help..." Naruto said as he pushed the despair down that was bubbling within him.

"Don't worry, this world has a substantial amount of natural energy. It should be enough to recover our full powers. But it will take time, probably years until we all wake up and more at our prime."Kurama says that all Tailed Beasts struggling to stay awake gave a yawn and closed their eyes as they lay comfortably ready to slumber.

Isobu turned to Naruto and gave him a serious look. "There are things you may not do. Six Paths Senjutsu is off limits. You have got it from the old man as a gift, but it requires our chakra to maintain. If you use our chakra while we are recovering, it will slow down our recovery or could kill us if you use too much of our chakra." Isobu warned him of the implications of using their power.

"I see... What if he comes... You know he wears his corpse and, along with her left hand, he attached it to that dead body." Naruto says with a worried tone at the enemy who sent him here.

Kurama paused, then gave his answer. "Let's hope it doesn't come to that, but I don't think he will find us for years." Before saying, "Sorry, we can not be much help in this world for a long while. But it won't take longer than a decade at most for us to wake up." Promised Kurama.

"Well, it is okay guys, I can handle myself, you know!" Naruto said with a fake smile to all the worried beasts.

"All of you know better than anyone. I would not back down from this. We failed to save everyone back at home, and I will never let us fail again!" Naruto declared with full certainty.

"Naruto.. You.." Kurama tried to argue again before Naruto cut him.

"Everyone, it's okay. I have survived for years before we became partners. I'm sure I can do this again! And this time, I will be more careful since my life is not only mine anymore. My life is the Elemental Nations Life. I will not die until the day we talk again!" Naruto declared with full confidence. Making all the Tailed Beasts beam at Naruto's will and determination. All the while, Naruto rubbed the tears from his eyes.

"I really like his determination," Shukaku gave an amused chuckle before giving Naruto a sad smile. "If you stay depressed, I will beat you up worse than you beat up Gaara." the sand raccoon threatened with goodwill.

Extending a fist, Naruto held out a fist bump, which all the Tailed Beasts joined in. For a moment, that seemed to last forever.

"I will miss you, guys. You have held me together the last 2 years into crumbling into insanity. Thanks for everything..." Naruto said with his voice filled with deep gratitude.

"No, we should thank you, Naruto. You never took advantage of us or our relationship. It was nice to trust a human again." Matatabi meows.

"Just do not die on us, Naruto!" Kurama rumbled before every Tailed Beast chorused, "Live well and don't despair, Naruto."

Naruto nodded with tears flowing down his face and sat down as he watched each one of his comrades and partners go to a deep sleep. Shukaku was the first to sleep, followed by Chomei, then the following in order: Saiken, Matatabi, Isobu, Kokou, Son Goku. Gyuki was the last, then Kurama was the last.

"Naruto, you surely won't disappoint. Your family and friends aren't disappointed. Old Sage Six Paths won't be too," thought Kurama as he went into a deep slumber.

Naruto stood with tears flowing down his eyes and turned his back on the sleeping beast.

"Farewell for now, everyone." Naruto mutters as he exits the seal.

Naruto woke up sitting cross-legged. The beach's tide had gone low as night had fallen across the land. Glancing at the heavens, Naruto raised a hand and, with wonder in his eyes, grasped the starry sky.

There were millions of them, different constellations and colors. Similar to the ones in his own world, but there was a noticeable difference. Giving Naruto the thought, "Perhaps this world isn't so different."

Naruto lay down before realizing that his orange jacket never made it out to the void, along with his Shinobi Sandals. Instead, his chain mail that he wore underneath his orange jacket was now too small for his current size and dug into his skin like a small vest.

Naruto turned to the empty wasteland behind him and decided not to risk entering it. He had no food or water with him.

Naruto then remembered something and bites his thumb to draw blood and then weave a sequence of hand signs before slamming his hand and muttering. "Summoning Jutsu: Uzumaki Iron Box."

A puff of smoke obscured the summoned object as the summoning formulae expanded under his hand onto the ground.

Misleadingly named, the Uzumaki Iron Box was a large wooden box that held the crest of the Uzumaki clan and had sealing formulas engraved on its wooden edges. Molten silver was poured into the engravings to create a seal that could withstand heavy damage. It was one of the many things he found in the ruins of the Land of Whirlpool.

Inside it was an enormous collection of scrolls ranging from the forbidden Scroll of Seals that he was tricked into stealing by Mizuki. Glancing at the other contents of the Box, there was Sasuke's sword and Naruto's own forehead protector, along with dozens of storage scrolls of important weapons and tools.

Suddenly Naruto's stomach growled, and his throat was dry. Thirst and hunger had crept on Naruto in his exhausted state. Naruto reached within the box to grab a sack of food pills. He popped one in his mouth and felt exhaustion wash away. Naruto then grabbed a clack that was short for him and draped it on his shoulder. Taking out Sasuke's sword and strapping the sheath on his hip.

"Summoning Jutsu: Release," Naruto says as he dispels the box back to where it came from.

Standing up, Naruto then began to head south across the coastline to find a freshwater supply. But, instead, all he noticed was smoking stacks atop rock formations.

"Water is a priority to find. What the hell are these factories making? It is not important to know right now," Thought Naruto as he continued to scour his surroundings.

After a while of searching, Naruto found a large river following. What seemed strange was that no life or vegetation was surrounding the river water.

"This land's geography is strange, where water flows there should be life. So why on earth..." thought Naruto as he cupped his hands in the water and lifted the water and drank from the river to quench his thirst. Immediately, Naruto retched out as the water burned his throat and sputtered in surprise as he spat out the rest of the water, thinking, "This water tastes like poison. Why is the river poisoned here?"

Naruto looked upstream across the river to see the dozens of silent smoking factories atop of rock formations and concluded that these factories were dumping chemicals into the waters. Killing any chance of growth of life in the soil and earth. "What kind of idiot ruler destroys his country's supply of water and land..." Naruto thought. Enormous projects comprising factories on this scale meant that a powerful person or group was involved in this.

Naruto immediately vaulted across the river and knew that this place still had lush vegetation due to him seeing a hill that still had a forest. There was damage on this side of the river, but it was not as bad as the wasteland on the other side.

Naruto ran under the shadows of night, searching for civilization or a settlement. Before an idea struck him. Drawing his hands and making a cross sign with his index and middle fingers on both hands to form the hand sign for his favorite Jutsu. Naruto uttered "Shadow Clone Jutsu" In a puff of smoke, there were now ten Naruto where there once was one in the area.

"Gather information on this country and find people but don't interact with them," the original Naruto ordered his clones.

All clones nodded in agreement as they accepted their orders before separating in different directions.

"There is something very wrong in this land..." Naruto mutters as he rests under a large tree. He then looks at the seal in his left hand and considers entering the mental library he sealed within him. There was still unknown knowledge he hadn't explored. It will take him at least 6 more years to read it entirely. "I shouldn't have sealed too many books and the elemental country archives records within it." Naruto whispers out.

Before shaking his head, "It's the knowledge that they developed over centuries. I don't think they want its abrupt end. Medical Ninjutsu could be good at treating the poisoned water." Naruto contemplates.

Naruto closes his eyes before entering the second seal within his body. He appeared in a white hallway full of thousands of bookshelves filled with books and archives. The seal works by turning recorded information into chakra and absorbs said chakra to recreate the book within the seal. Once a book is absorbed, it can't return to the physical world. Naruto ignored the stacked files of historical archives from their respective nations, detailing shinobi information, resources, and plans.

Naruto searched within the mental library until he found a book that could help him. "(Medical Ninjutsu use in toxin and poison Vol.1). Pulling the book from the shelf, he began to read it in silence.

"It's that bad... And it has been going for at least eighteen years but in the last eleven years it has reached another level after the Kozuki Clan along with other Daimyos were killed by the Shogun." Naruto said as he palmed his face in frustration. The clone memories have returned to the original, and one of them was returning with a Kimono and a gray cloak he stole from a capital tailor who left the shop for a break. The clone couldn't help it, as the kimono color was orange with black edges. Also, the Cloak and Kimono were the only sizes that fitted him.

Apparently, the Land of Wano was overtaken by pirates. It was very similar to the Land of Fire, except their culture was the one they had in the warring state and the founding of the hidden village period before technology development. The country was an isolated one ruled by a tyrant, Shogun, with the backing of a powerful pirate. Under the Shogun tyranny, the country's administration has created a caste system, valuing wealth over all else. In the capital, residents must have money or else they will face exile.

The six regions of the country have been shown to contain two types of settlements. First, there are towns where high-ranking officials live, and these officials control the rest of the population, only allowing essential tradespeople and merchants to live there. As a result, the rest of the population is forced to live in poverty in the leftover towns at the edge of the rich areas. In these towns, people only have access to leftover food passed over by those of higher status. Said leftover food is often not enough, and residents often end up starving.

The poor citizens are forced into lifelong slavery by providing the human resources required in the harsh labor in weapon factories to mass-produce weapons for the pirates for meager amounts of rations and salaries, insufficient to feed themselves or their families.

Naruto found out that he was in the region of Kuri. There was a village around here where people lived. It is located in a clearing of a bamboo forest and has a river nearby. Constructed from bamboo fibers, the houses resemble Kabuto helmets, complete with a chonmage on top. Naruto patiently waited for the clone to return, carrying an orange Kimono and a cloak. He discarded his old clothes and chain mail, burying them in a freshly dug hole.

Naruto wore the orange with black yukata kimono and had the light-colored haori cloak draped on his shoulder, strapped on his the left side of his hip was Sasuke's chokuto blade and walked towards the village. Emerging into the village valley to see at least two dozen people toiling away at the earth. The nearby river was green and brown with a mixture of chemicals dumped into which the villagers never touched.

He gained looks from the residents before five men in matching gray kimonos, each wielding a katana, emerged and drew them in weariness at Naruto, who gave them a confused look before revealing his black chokuto sheath.

"Are you a Samurai from the Mimawarigumi squad at the flower capital?" asks a samurai in a wavering voice.

"No, my name is Uzumaki Naruto-maki and I am not with them." Naruto declared his alias as he knew Naruto-maki was a perfect name for his cover as an outsider in this country. Kurama and the others will laugh after finding him taking the other name meaning instead of Maelstrom.

"Naruto-maki as in a swirly fish cake in a ramen bowl... Hey, heard a Samurai or a Ronin like him..." One samurai asks the other.

"My name means maelstrom, not fishcake." Naruto yelled inwardly as a twitch formed.

"No, and it's the first time I hear or see someone with whiskers markings on his face..." says a surprised samurai as he looks at Naruto.

"These are birthmarks," Naruto tells the samurai in an exasperated tone, the samurai with an annoyed tone as he unconsciously touches his whisker marks.

"Your parentage..." asks a Samurai, asking calmly.

"I was told my father was a shinobi and my mother a Kunoichi. I was born as an orphan..." Naruto tells the half-truth with a sad, longing look as he remembers his father and mother.

"Knock it off. He is harmless, if he intended to attack you, he would have done it." an elderly voice cut in the conversation

"Tenguyama-san!" protests a Samurai as he turns to an old man with an extremely long nose wearing a red tengu mask over his face. By his hip, there was a sword.

"I will take responsibility for him. He is a child after all." The elder man brushed the concern aside.

"I'm not a child... you geezer. I am nineteen years old and who said I'm going to live here?" Naruto twitches in annoyance.

The old man points the finger at him. "First, you are a child compared to me. Have you taken a good look at yourself? You look like you have been traveling across the Land of Wano with nowhere to go. I can't leave my good conscience with an orphan with a sword in this savage land. Either the pirates will come after you, or the higher-ranked Samurai who follow Orochi will want you to join them, and I certainly don't want you to be recruited by the Mt. Atama Thieves lead by Shutenmaru. It's best for you to stay here, Naruto-maki."

The five Samurai calmed down as they agreed with the elder swordsmith's words before turning at Naruto.

"I think you should stay here... Naruto-maki," a Samurai says before noticing Naruto's annoyed expression.

"You can't keep me here. I can't leave it like this. This country is in trouble. The Shogun is an idiot, trusting the pirates." Naruto snapped back at the old man, and half of the village reeled back with shock, with their eyes bugged at the dissent of the current Shogun. While the other half felt a smile creep on their face despite their hard life that the younger generation has not fallen for Orochi propaganda.

Naruto's mind reels back to the pirates who attacked his ship at the beginning of the fourth ninja war while they traveled to the Island Turtle for his protection and learning to harness Kurama's chakra through the training Killer B gave him.

Gataro was a pirate from an island somewhere in between the Land of Fire and the Land of Lightning. He took control of a small, peaceful island sometime in the past, massacring most of its inhabitants and forcing the remaining ones to live underground in secrecy for decades, and he stole Naruto's forehead protector. Gataro was one of the most selfish humans he had met. He killed his crew if they did not bring in enough loot or simply out of plain boredom.

Naruto had taken back his forehead protector and avenged the island's inhabitants by destroying Gataro's cannons and fleet and tying him and his crew to the island with no chance of escaping. As a result, he suffered a long and drawn-out death from starvation. This experience brought Naruto a sour distaste for pirates.

"You support the Kozuki clan and not the Shogun. Then you must have heard of Lady Toki's prophecy." Asked the elder swordsmith with a serious voice.

"What Prophecy... I do this out of the goodness of my heart, and I lived alone for years, practicing my swordsmanship in the mountains to hear any prophecy." Naruto snorted. That was the truth. He lived in Kumo's mountain region for 2 years for their spring baths while training to use Sasuke's sword.

Suddenly, more clone memories flowed within him from a leftover town to the east of the flower capital, where the clones heard mutterings of the famous Kozuki Oden exploits and the legendary hour. Naruto frowned at the experience of Bakura Town as he learned a clone just ordered ramen with money he pickpocketed, and then something unforgivable was committed, and Naruto's body tensed with anger as the blood in his veins roared with rage.

"I see, then I should tell you the prophecy..." began the old swordsmith before trailing off by sensing Naruto's anger being barely contained.

"Old man... I'm sorry, please tell me the tale at another time, I have to go." breathe out Naruto in deep anger as he crouched as he gathered the chakra into his lower body muscles before springing at a tremendous speed that left a shockwave as Naruto propelled himself through the sky at inhuman speed.

"He is that physically gifted and at his age... Impossible!" uttered a Samurai in deep shock as he witnessed the inhuman feat.

"This is bad. The kid shouldn't bring attention to himself... he is going to do something stupid. I know his kind." Swore the tengu mask to an old man.

"What do you mean by that?" asked a man from the crowd.

"Let's hope I'm wrong..." the old sword-smith mutters as he prayed for the boy to not doing anything stupid.

Naruto held a storage scroll in his hand that released a white porcelain kitsuné mask as he traveled through the sky. "Damn it, Idiot clone, why didn't you interfere and help that man?" Naruto mutters in anger as he lands in a wasteland before pulling out the Anbu gear he thought he would have to use.

He took those from the ANBU locker rooms. Before realizing that the armor was too small because of his increased size from dimensional travel. Naruto tugged at his hair in annoyance before a solution came into his mind.

Wearing his too-small ANBU armor and mask, He weaved the secret hand signs of the secret Jutsu of the Akimichi clan. The jutsu scroll was in the mental library seal.

"Multi-Size Jutsu." Naruto thought as his tall body shot to eight meters in height, and the Armor grew in size and easily fitted Naruto's body. Naruto released the jutsu and found the armor was now the correct size.

Naruto faced the direction of Bakura Town and growled out, "These bastards are blasphemous to Ramen."

- Bakura Town -

Hold'em was pissed. Holed'em had missed an opportunity to be promoted after returning from the outer seas of Wano. So he went to Bakura town, where officials like him lived to drink down his sorrow. He entered a famous restaurant intending to get drunk and saw it was empty except for a blonde Samurai in orange Kimono with black edges was browsing the restaurant menu. Something strange about the Samurai was that he had whiskers marks on his face.

The vendor owner was sharing a laugh with the samurai. A high-class member of Wano's citizen was conversing equally with one of the low ones. "Well, there are black sheep in every group." thought Holed'em

The vendor owner turned pale at the sight of Holed'em before stopping talking at the blonde man and gulps as he nervously faced Holed'em and bowed in fear before he asked him. "Dear customer, what will you order?"

"The same as usual, you buffoon" Holed'em glares at the vendor.

"I'm very sorry sir, we ran out of eggplant this last week so it's impossible to get you a dish of Miso Glazed Eggplants..." gulps the business owner, afraid of incurring the wrath of the pirate.

Holed'em frowned before he said in an annoyed voice, "Can't you just order from the paradise farm and have them bring a batch of eggplants?" Before slamming his hand on the counter, cracking the wood, "And who finished the eggplants..." Hold'em said threateningly.

The Blonde Samurai was currently staring at him with a frown. Hold'em was about to respond. "I'm sorry to tell you this, but all the other restaurants and stands passed a rumor that a man goes by the name Hold'em in the Beasts Pirates eats a year's supply of eggplants in a month." stutters the restaurant owner.

"You trash, are you saying this is my fault, that there are no eggplants left because I ate all of them?" Holed'em growls in anger before letting a roar of fury as he unsheathes his sword and points it at the owner whose eyes widen in fear.

"No, I never intended to blame you, sir."

"Don't lie to me, do you take me for a fool," tells Holed'em.

"I beg for your mercy, sir. Please, I was wrong." The owner prostrates his head on the floor as he begs mercy from the pirate.

Holed'em, having none of it, swung his sword, and it split itself up to function as a whip blade. Swinging the whip blade in a frenzy, the whip blade servers and cuts through everything in the restaurant apart from Holed'em and the owner. The owner's eyes widened, and he began to sob as he saw his livelihood was being destroyed by the enraged pirate. The old owner passed in a state of despair as his mind shattered.

"There, here is your mercy..." spat Holed'em at the unconscious owner. Before turning to leave the destroyed building, enormous crowds of pirates gathered along with high-ranked Samurai who stared at the damaged building. The building collapsed on itself as Holed'em left the owner inside to die.

"Holed'em, did you put him in his place?" yells a very large and tall man with round cheeks, thin eyes, a wrinkled forehead, small ears, and a double chin. He has long, pink-colored hair that he wore in a topknot with a braid on each side of his face. In addition, he wore a large, light green-colored samurai garb that had a flower emblem on the sleeves. He also wears geta sandals on his disproportionately small feet, and he has two Katanas he wears on his left hip.

"Urashima, did you finally become a yokozuna-ranked sumo?" Holed'em asks with excitement.

"Yes, it was during last week. Where were you?" asks the Sumo-Samurai.

Holed'em was about to respond when he remembered the Blonde Samurai who disappeared before the building collapsed.

Suddenly, a screeching sound came out of nowhere, grinding against the collective ears of the crowd. Holed'em looked at the sky where he saw something hurtling to the ground at a high velocity.

Something lands next to the crowd. The impact rocked the street as a crater formed on the ground, creating a large dust cover that obscured the thing that landed on the sword.

The familiar sound of a sword being drawn from its sheath made many warriors on guard, pirates, and Samurai grip their weapons. Then a murderous aura exploded on them that made half of the armed crowd nearly soil their pants. The other remembered the feeling they got from a certain man they faced before being executed eleven years ago. It was nearly the same, but this wasn't as refined as that man. Instead, this one was wilder, like a beast yearning to attack everything that angered him.

"YOU BASTARDS, I JUST ORDERED RAMEN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TWO YEARS. I DIDN'T HAVE IT FOR TWO ENTIRE YEARS. EVEN THOUGH THAT CLONE WAS AN IDIOT FOR ORDERING IT. AS IT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN WASTED ON HIM." A pissed-off voice exploded at the crowd.

The crowd was unsure of what to do as the voice yelled at them.

"BUT ONE OF YOU ASSHOLES HAD TO DESTROY MY NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT, ALONG WITH A PREPARED BOWL. I AM SO PISSED RIGHT NOW. FIND ME ANOTHER RAMEN BOWL AND HELP THAT MAN REBUILD HIS RESTAURANT." The voice continued to yell.

Urashima swelled with anger and yelled back. "I'm not wasting a single silver on low-ranking trash."

Holed'em, empowered by the Yokozuna and the other Samurai words yelled, "That man is dead, crushed in the rubble of his restaurant." gloated the square-jawed pirate.

"HE IS DEAD?!" The Voice shrieked in horror.

"YES, HE IS DEAD AND SO WILL YOU BE!" yelled the crowd back at the voice.

The voice went quiet before he gave an order to a person. "Go dig his body from the rubble and return the body back to the family. He mentioned where they lived. Take him there."

"Yes, Boss," came an identical voice that confused the group of pirates and samurai.

"It's been so long since I had gotten into a fight. I think it was a year, but who knows?" the voice said as its owner stepped out of the dust, revealing an individual whose face was hidden by a porcelain kitsuné mask. The man was tall, standing at 2.7 meters, and he was wearing a black cloak that covered his entire body and head, and as he moved his right arm to reveal its metallic gray arm-guard and black sandals adorned the individual feet. The masked individual gripped his gloved hands in the black sheath on his side. Then, drawing the blade reveals it was a straight, single-edged sword, unlike most Samurai's curved Katanas.

"That's a chokutō. These types of swords have stopped being used from 2 centuries ago. Only a rich and longstanding family had an heirloom like this..." said a Samurai in a serious tone.

"Hey, he could be one of the Daimyo descendants we missed. Their forefathers adored all kinds of blades, especially the Shimotsuki Family. I heard that they gathered every type of blade in Wano. Lord Orochi and Lord Kaido will be pleased if we hand him over to them," muttered a drunk pirate.

The fear that had gripped them evaporated instantly, replaced by the gnawing hunger for advancement and the sweet taste of their bosses' approval.

The man was gone in a flash, leaving behind a trail of wind and the sharp sting of steel as Holed'em clutched his left arm, the cold metal burning through his flesh. Two Kunai, their handles barely visible, were plunged deep into his left arm. The whip blade fell from Holed'em's hand as he grabbed his left arm in pain, a scream ripping from his throat. At that moment, one thing became undeniably clear.

"This is going to be the worst day of my life," he thought before proceeding to faint from the pain.

-Onigashima: Kaido's Mansion-

Jack the Drought was annoyed that he had a babysitting mission. As the youngest of the All-Stars. He had been an All-Star since he was eight. His boss Kaido had taken his yearly expedition to the sea or was doing his hobby, said attempted suicide was his hobby.

Jack is an immensely muscular fish-man of massive stature, dwarfing his crewmates. He had blond hair that was braided in a ponytail with a pair of long braids. The eyes on his face are bloodshot orange, and behind his puffy lips were pointed teeth. He has two piercings in his right ear. He carried a pair of tusks around his neck, which were actually sheathed scythe-like blades. Also wearing a metallic jaw mask and has a pair of horns on each side of his head. In addition, he wears a light brown sleeveless feathery coat and on his waist circled a belt bearing a horned skull placed centrally above four intersected crossbones, his crew's Jolly Roger.

His current order was to make sure Kaido heir, who had just became of age last year, to not cause a ruckus on the island of Onigashima.

Kaido's daughter, Yamato, has opposed her father's ideals since she was eight and began to emulate the former daimyo of his region, Kuri. Kozuki Oden was still annoying Kaido even after his death eleven years ago.

So far, he was failing his orders, Yamato with her kanabo, apparently leveled a room on the 5th floor of his boss' mansion in anger after some subordinates who watched over her had woken her up. She was grumpy because it was her time of the month, as she explained it to them. That was the explanation she gave him on why she attacked his subordinates before swinging with the spiked club in the floor's room, demolishing the floor that Jack was standing on. The fall sent him to the fourth floor, and now he stared at anger at the hole in Kaido's mansion while lying flat on his back.

Annoyed and embarrassed by the stunt but mostly unfazed by the fall, Jack stood up and glared upwards at the hole in the 5th floor.

"HEY YOU SPOILED BRAT," Jack's yell echoed through the floor before he lowered it to a threatening tone.

"If you know what's good for you. You will come out from where you are," Jack threateningly says at Yamato.

Yamato's disembodied voice yelled back, "I'm not a brat. We are at the same age, Jack. We are 19 years old. I think you should check a mirror. You are the one who acts like a cowering and submissive brat in front of King or Queen."

Jack felt his temper was about to snap as he grabbed his sickle blade's hilt, ready to unleash it on the next thing that annoyed him, when suddenly, a group of panicking Beast Pirates came running into the room.

"Jack-sama!" said the panicked member.

"What is it? You better make it quick." Jack growled as he unsheathed his sickle blades.

"We just received a report from Kuri..." Jack frowned as he heard the name of the region he was in charge of. Before he groaned as Yamato leveled another room in the castle.

- Flower Capital: Shogun Castle -

"WHAT! IMPOSSIBLE! SOMEONE SINGLE-HANDEDLY TOOK DOWN AN ESTIMATED NUMBER OF FIVE HUNDRED OF SAMURAI AND PIRATES IN KURI." A terrified yell rang out at the banquet hall in the Shogun castle.

All the guests and geisha whirled in surprise to look as the spilled sake cup in the terrified and shivering Shogun had soaked his clothes. The fault was that a shinobi from the Orochi Oniwabanshu group had arrived and whispered something in the Land of Wano ruler's ears, resulting in the sudden explosion from Kurozumi Orochi.

The Shogun, Kurozumi Orochi, is a middle-aged man of stocky build. However, his head is noticeably large and rounded. His dark purple hair was balding, as it was only present on the sides and the back of his head, pulling it into a samurai knot. On it, he wore a golden crown. Orochi's shocked face comprised a thin pointed mustache pointing upwards and reaching the end of the cheeks, a tiny nose resembling a pig, and an abnormally enormous mouth whose teeth are all flat, and the two upper canine teeth were longer than his other teeth. The clothes he wore were spilled with sake. The golden kimono with a fan-shaped pattern, a black yukata robe with orange lines and flowers, the clothes were ruined for the night.

An elderly man sat next to Orochi. He had a heavily wrinkled face and long white hair, along with a long beard. The elder wore a light-colored kimono with a dark dotted pattern and a dark haori. Despite his old age, the man held a Biwa and was a lute priest; he kept playing the Biwa with ease at Orochi's side, as they were both the last members of the Kurozumi Clan.

"Calm down, Orochi," said the extremely elderly man with a bit of annoyance at the interruption of the feast.

"Semimaru, what if it's them? The Akazaya Nine, they are plotting for my death, I'm sure of it," panicked Orochi as most guests began to whisper about Shogun's antics.

"It can't be them. It has only been eleven years, and it was one person," replied the elderly biwa player.

"You are right..." Orochi mutters in relief before growling at the ninja that had brought the report. "Has the rebel been dealt with?"

"Reports are still coming from Kuri, my lord. So far we have confirmed the masked individual was driven out of Bakura Town with minimal damage, but then he faced all those who followed him in the wasteland of Kuri, as a result one factory that was undergoing maintenance collapsed during the battle."

"Kaido won't be happy about that," groaned the Shogun as he buried his face into his hands before ordering the ninja.

"I want this person brought in and made an example out of him. What did he look like?" Orochi ordered, as he gnashed his teeth seethingly before he got an answer that made him even frustrated.

"HE WAS MASKED, DAMN IT." the Shogun's voice yells throughout the entire castle.

-Onigashima: Kaido's Mansion-

Yamato glared at Jack as he left Onigashima after, on his personal ship, the Mammoth. She then looked at the chains that enslaved her on this island.

Yamato was very tempted to leave this island to take the sea, as Kozuki Oden did. But her father warned that if she left the island, her handcuffs would explode, thus killing her. Yamato doubted her father would do that, as he was her only family, but she knew her father and his subordinate's atrocities. Also, they supported a shogunate that was never interested in the throne for power but sat at the throne as a symbol of revenge against the Kozuki clan and the Land of Wano.

She knew this since she was eight when she watched the Legendary (Hour Long Execution), the execution of Kozuki Oden. The event is still seared into her mind. Kozuki Oden held his beloved retainers above the boiling oil for an hour and saved their lives before ordering his samurai, the Akayaza Nine, to open the borders of the isolated land of Wano. The Akayaza Nine and a Kunoichi, named Shinobu, rushed to Kuri to save the rest of the Kozuki Family from an unjust execution ordered by Orochi and supported by Kaido. Kaido then finished Oden off with a quick death with his gun but not before Oden did a pose in a kabuki manner and declared, "I am Oden! I was born to boil!"

His death left a mark on her that changed her forever by being extremely saddened and inspired by the great samurai's death. Immediately afterward, Yamato ran to Kuri Castle to save Oden's family, but could only watch as her father attacked them and their retainers and setting the castle aflame. After that, as Yamato walked around the remains of Oden Castle, she found Oden's logbook in a nearby river. She took it to learn more about her hero.

After saying she wants to be Oden to her father, Kaido just beat her up and imprisoned her at Onigashima with exploding handcuffs on her wrist.

Her spirit unbroken, Yamato insisted to Kaido that she was Oden, and he responded that if she was, she would have to die. He then locks his daughter in a cave along with a few Daimyo prisoners for a month or until they agree to obey him.

Yamato grew extremely scared, believing the samurai would hate her because of her heritage; however, the Daimyos were extremely kind to Yamato as they gave her the only portion of food left behind. She asked for help to read Oden's logbook, and the samurai guided her through it as they took great interest in the exploits it contained. The samurai then stated that they would not make it to the day of the promised battle in Oden's logbook and prepared to escape the cave and confront Kaido to enable Yamato to survive until that day.

It has been eleven years since that day, and Yamato has grown taller than an average human woman, standing at over 2.5 meters. Her long, white hair is bound between orange rods into a ponytail at the back, which turns into aqua green and then to blue the further down it goes and ends in rectangular locks similar to her father. She also bears large, orange eyes with prominent eyelashes, wears gold hoop earrings on both ears, and has horns on the top of her head, mostly red, but gradually becomes more flesh-colored toward the base. Her current outfit is a sleeveless white garment with an Odèn-skewers-shaped design on both sides, and she also wore red hakama pants and sandals and, much like Oden, wears a large purple and a white ribbon obi behind her back.

Usually, she will be bored and hiding. But today, something has changed for the first time in eleven years in the Land of Wano. A warrior's actions just shook the Isolated country. Now Jack had to deal with the mess in the absence of her father.

"I wonder what made him out like this and what made this person take such a strong action today." Yamato wondered as she stared at the shores of Wano with longing.

Kozuki Hiyori, also known as Komurasaki to the flower capital, was a geisha whose popularity was rising in the red-light district, as she was sponsored by her father's retainer Denjiro known going by the alias of Kyoshiro, the head of the Kyoshiro Family, the ruling Yakuza family in the Flower Capital.

Hiyori is a slim woman of average height. She has long turquoise hair that reaches her waist and blue eyes distinctively slanted at a downward angle.

Hiyori was aiming for the position of Orian to raise her status as it made helping those who suffered under Orochi rule much easier. Her beauty and talents playing the shamisen that enchanted all who heard it had and, for a geisha that had debuted 2 months ago, her popularity was skyrocketing.

She was about to turn early for the night, as she had spent the day practicing her duties as a geisha. So she was surprised when Denjiro requested her to come to his private quarters, where he reintroduced himself to her six years ago.

Denjiro is a very tall and muscular man, standing at 306 cm. Because of his grief over her parent's death, Denjiro's appearance changed in the last 11 years. As a result, his round eyes become slanted. He no longer wore his trademark sunglasses. And he grew large sideburns, and his hair color lightened considerably. Also, he started to hide his ponytail in a large faux-pompadour to avoid the suspicion that he was the prominent Denjiro of the Akayza Nine. In addition, he began to wear a dark blue kimono with circles and target patterns on it and a blue, high-collared cape.

Denjiro's face was facing the window as he looked over the flower capital. She suddenly notices that Denjiro's form is shaking from something.

"Denjiro-san, is something wrong?" asked Hiyori in worry.

Denjiro turned around to face Hiyori, and he looked extremely gleeful, and it wasn't the cover of when he was Kyoshiro as he drank sake. No, this was pure happiness and mirth as his body shakes with barely contained laughter and admiration.

Denjiro's eyes had stars within them before he collapsed with laughter at his ward questioning look.

"Someone was crazy enough to face five hundred men, Samurai and Kaido men in Kuri alone. This ruckus is already an embarrassment to Orochi. This fellow is crazy enough to rival Oden-Sama's actions in his younger days. I want to have a drink with the individual," snickered the man as he poured a sake cup for himself.

Hiyori's mind, unable to keep with what she was told, tilted her head, confused in a confused manner, and said, "huh?"

- Kuri -

"Explain to me what happened here?" Jack ordered a heavily bandaged subordinate.

A state of emergency had been issued in Kuri. One of its wastelands has become a battlefield after the masked individual was driven out of Bakura town, flipped the table on his enemy, and slaughtered them with ease. In addition, a factory has collapsed from a misfired bazooka that tried to blow up the masked person.

Countless broken blades and guns littered the earth. Kunai and Sherman were found scattered across the battlefield. But the largest damage was the 10 meters deep trench hole carved into the earth by the enemy, where about a hundred bodies of pirates and samurai were killed by the creator of the hole. The rest of the soldiers were alive and scattered across the wasteland but were knocked and injured and were treated by the reinforcement.

"Forgive me, Jack-sama. Before I could even enter the fight, he knocked out. He was too strong for us," the man whimpers out.

Jack let outs an annoyed sigh before speaking, "Where did the enemy go? Kaido-san will want someone of this caliber in the crew if we make him submit to us."

"Jack-sama, I think you need to see this," came the voice of a subordinate from Tanashi snail.

Riding his Wanizame steed, a giant sea monster resembling a crocodile crossed with a shark with several dorsal fins on its back, following a growing trail of blood. Finally, they reached a cliff and saw two blood-soaked Katanas tossed away, along with bullet fragments that somehow seemed to be extracted from the enemy's body. The blood trail ended at the edge of the cliff.

"All these injuries and then jumping from this cliff into the sea. There is a slim chance he would have made it out alive. If he shows up again, then I will personally hand him to Kaido-" Jack thought before turning back.

"Jack-sama?" asked his subordinates.

"Let's go, He is lone gone. I'm not leaving Onigashima unguarded for so long... Let's go."

Naruto pulled himself up to the beach. His ANBU Black hood was ruined. He underestimated some of these guys. But he was all right, while his enemies were heavily injured,

He started the fight in the town through long-range methods, tossing Kunai and Shuriken, intending to whittle down the crowd while minimizing the damage to the buildings as he led them out of Bakura town. Reinforcement from all over Kuri converged upon him. He led them to a wasteland near a weapon factory that was empty.

Five metallic shards ended up on his back during the chase because he mistook their barrels as a bo staff. Instead, they turned out to be a tube-shaped weapon designed to launch projectiles at high speed through the ignition of an explosive powder. These advanced weapons were called firearms that comprised handguns and rifles that shot metallic projectiles called bullets. These bullets didn't hit deep. It just broke through his skin and was stopped by his back muscles. No scars were left behind. His unblemished skin has healed thanks to the sleeping Tailed Beast's diluted chakra, which mixed with his chakra gave him a healing factor.

He met his enemy's head-on in the wasteland. He didn't draw his blade yet, which infuriated the samurai. Naruto wanted to feel the enemy's strength. He rushed with fervor and his blood pumping at the excitement of the first battle in a year. Immediately, he noticed his strength and speed gave him an advantage over the other. Also, he learned that he wasn't used to his body changes, especially the changes to his height.

One moment he was next to a samurai, then the next moment, he rag-dolled him into someone's face. Before that, someone's ribs were broken by a palm strike from him. He then intercepted and caught some exploding metallic spheres before they traveled twenty meters in his direction and tossed them back at their recipients. Of course, most of those fools just kept coming in large numbers and looked like they weren't trained like shinobi. Every one of them had an opening that Naruto exploited with glee.

Ten minutes into the fight, Naruto realized that some Samurai were stronger than most of these pirates. Only a few caught his eyes as they easily broke through the defense with strange black energy imbued within their blades.

One Samurai stabbed his side, another went for his shoulder before he gripped their blades with their hands as they tried to pull them out of his hands. He then head-butted both of them, and they fell knocked out. With the blades stuck on his body, it surprised most of his adversaries how he could remain standing with injuries like that.

Naruto just shrugged at the question and surprises, then gathered and concentrated the chakra that was externally protecting Naruto's body into his fist, imitating Tsunade's chakra control strength method. Naruto then pounded the earth with his fist. As a result, the ground caved in to create a ten-meter crater hole and sent him and his enemies to the bottom of the crater.

All enemies trapped with him in the hole felt a deep chill as they saw him extract his chokuto out of the sheath with a strained smile. All of them were unredeemable as they were selfish and cared for themselves, but Naruto enjoyed giving people second chances, so he began asking questions of them.

A perfect answer was like this "I will become a better person and never insult ramen, or kill without a justified cause and I will begin to help those who need help."

An okay answer was, "I learned my lesson. I will do anything to make this up. "

The terrible answer was, "Die, you crazy bastard."

It disappointed that all of them gave him terrible answers, so he gave them a swift death in the afterlife.

Naruto emerged from the crater only to watch the ones still capable of fighting reel back at the sight of him and his mask. His hood was full of holes, and his wounds were steaming as his healing factor was repairing his body. The only open wounds had blades stuck in there, and 5 bullets were still stuck in his back.

Oh, and during all of this fight, he didn't use a single jutsu, only chakra, to increase his speed and strength. He forgot about using them just because he was so angry about not getting the ramen.

Naruto just walked over to the cliff and pulled the blades out of his body with a wince. Then he got a kunai and dug the bullets out of his flesh. The wounds steamed and healed within seconds. He then jumped into the sea and then swam all the way back to Amigasa Village.

Reaching the shore, Naruto traded the Anbu Armor and Mask for his orange kimono and made his way to Amigasa village. By the time he made it there, nightfall had fallen. When Naruto returned, he was surprised to see the old tengu mask-wearing swordsmith waiting for him with a worried look on his face. Once the old man saw him unharmed, he sighed in relief before he rushed and grabbed him by his ear.

"Yowch, let me go you crappy, old man," Naruto screeched as the swordsmith further twisted his ear.

"Do you have any implications of what you have done, Naruto-maki," snarled Hitetsu at him.

Naruto's silence further aggravated the man. "You placed a target on yourself after the stunt you pulled in Bakura town. Orochi hates rebels and Kaido will want you for himself. Kuri is in an uproar after what you did. The other regions of Wano will find out tomorrow in the newspaper. "

"It's not a problem. I disguised myself by wearing a mask and a cloak. They won't know it was me," Babbled Naruto.

"You are being punished. You may not leave the village for one year. I'm warning you, Naruto-maki, if you leave the village, I'll be forced to report you. You don't want to face the might of the dragon, kid," warned the old swordsmith.

"Dragons are myths. They don't exist, you senile old man." Naruto snorted out as he shook his head and wondered if this old man was a cuckoo.

Suddenly a forging hammer struck at the back of his head, knocking out Naruto.

The people of Amigasa village peered from their huts and sweat dropped as they saw the old swordsmith struggling to drag a knocked-out Naruto to his hut.

-Present-day-

- Amigasa Village: Tenguyama Hitetsu Hut -

It has been one year entirely, and Naruto still stayed in Amigasa village, talking with the people who were struggling for years to live. Naruto was still studying medical ninjutsu to learn how to help treat the water or poison people. However, progress was made as Naruto cleaned the contaminated water from the river by removing the poison. There was a freshwater resource as Naruto created a filter through Seals and Medical Ninjutsu as the river flowed within it. It sealed away the poison, but the seal will only last ten years, at most.

Naruto's desire to help his fellow villagers clashed with his need for discretion, leaving him strategizing ways to help without drawing unwanted attention.

"The blade is done, Naruto-maki."

Naruto looked at his guardian, who had sharpened and improved Sasuke's chokutō, which now belonged to Naruto. A blade pattern resembling flames, a result of the re-hardening, now decorated the blade. The black sheath and pommel have been replaced with blue and red, adorned with intricately wrapped threads. The only thing left was that there was no guard for the blade.

"Did you decide on a name for the sword?" asked Tenguyama.

"Uzu-Uchiwa," came the reply from Naruto as he named it after the crest of the Uchiha and Uzumaki clan.

Naruto then looked at Tama with worry at her. "Old man, Tama needs a better life than this. Adults like us can stick this out. But a child like her will suffer. We need more money."

"You are right, which is why you need to take a job starting tomorrow. Your project on treating the water helped us a lot. So we can grow food again, but it is still not enough to even with the ration we save up. So from tomorrow, go to the Flower Capital and get a job. I kept you in this village out of my selfishness. I'm sorry for that."

Naruto just gave him a peeved look. "I don't know why I am still listening to your requests. But I want to stay here and help raise Tama!" Naruto told him.

"You can pop in every while and bring her gifts from the Flower Capital."

"Fine, I will go to the Capitol on one condition. You will lend me that blade that you refused to hand over for me." Naruto pointed at the katana that was hung on the side of the room.

"For the last time, I am not handing theNidai Kitetsu. It's a Meito that is ranked as one one of the 21 Great Grade swords and a cursed one." Explained the stubborn swordsmith, "It's too valuable for me to lend it to you."

"A cursed blade is interesting for me to use. The Nidai Kitetsu has been whispering to me since I came to this village. It keeps giving the feeling that it's boring here and it's feeling disrespected." Naruto glanced at the blade in annoyance as its raspy voice entered Naruto's mind. "Listen, it's even agreeing with what I said." Naruto implored at the old man.

"But if you die from it... Tama and I will feel sad. Do you want that to happen?" Tenguyama looks at the sleeping child on the tiny bed that Naruto spent a week making for her.

"Old man, I am already cursed with something till the day I die... Another curse can't hurt me." Naruto muttered with sadness before grinning happily at the astonished elder who was struck by Naruto's words.

"Old man, I am touched by your concern for me. But tomorrow I am heading to the capital for a job. With or without that blade, it belongs to you. I just want it, but I am not taking something precious from you."

"Fine, you can have it. I am entrusting you with my ancestor's blade." relents Tenguyama with a sigh.

Naruto then glanced at the wanted poster with a rough sketch of him in his Anbu mask when he attacked and defeated five hundred men. The authorities were still trying to track the masked person down, unaware that he was in the region of Kuri. If he went to the capital, he would try not to create this much trouble.

O-Tama began to cry as she was woken from something. Naruto's presence immediately calmed her down as he picked her up. Naruto then made a face as he smelled the stink of poop.

"You better get used to changing O-Tama's clothes, old man," Naruto said with a sigh, "because I won't be around to help you with this much anymore."

A/N: R8Handman is here. I have more than 132 followers and 99 favs on the story when posting this chapter, which is way more than I expected. Thank you for that! Just to clarify, if you think Naruto looked weak in this chapter. Remember that his body is still recovering from the void and the changes in his body, especially in size. Naruto is still learning about this country and its history even after spending an entire year there. He managed to help treat the water out of the poison by studying medical ninjutsu and seals, and the library Naruto has with the seal contains a lot of Jutsu's like those that belonged to the Akimichi clan.

I hope you liked this chapter a little!

Have a nice day
