Chapter 101: 101. Dinner
When we compare the modern textile industry to the textile methods of Westeros we can see a big difference
Let a few soldiers try on new uniforms. There might be some mistakes along the way, but that's not a major issue.
It's quite simple, really.
One batch after another, more than a hundred soldiers started changing into their new uniforms.
These are military uniforms!
They consist of a military training suit with a black stab-proof layer worn over the upper body.
Once everyone had changed and lined up again, Jason Liu noticed how this group, which had been dressed in mismatched clothing, suddenly looked neat and organized. They looked impressive!
Having tidy and uniform clothing boosts the army's spirit, which is exactly what he wanted.
Jon Snow observed the soldiers he had trained. Seeing them all dressed alike made a significant impact on him, even if he couldn't quite put his finger on what that difference was.
"Jon, you should try one on too!" Jason Liu said as he handed Jon a military training uniform.
Jon accepted the uniform without hesitation. He picked out one that fit him well and, like the other soldiers, changed from his regular clothes.
When he finally donned the stab-proof suit, Jon felt a bit odd. "This thing called a Neiku feels a bit strange... but it's much tighter than my loose shorts!"
Curiously, Jon ran his hands over the black stab-proof suit. He had seen McCann and the others wearing these tough, lightweight outfits that could withstand sword attacks.
This clothing was just as protective as the heavy armor typically worn in Westeros but far lighter and allowed for better movement.
"This stab-resistant suit is yours!" Jason Liu said, noticing Jon's admiration for the suit.
Jon's face lit up with excitement. "Thank you, Master Jason! I really like this lightweight stab suit."
Jason decided that the remaining military training uniforms would be distributed so that each soldier would have two sets.
From now on, they would wear these military training uniforms and stab-proof suits for daily training.
After handing out the military uniforms and stab-proof suits, Jason Liu exchanged a few words with Lena and then returned to the modern era.
He opened the warehouse and drove his sports car back to his villa.
It was almost seven in the evening. He planned to take a bath and then have dinner with Jiang Chuchu and Lin Xiaohan.
After showering, he changed into a new set of casual clothes that had just arrived from the Hermès store a couple of days before. He wore various high-end brands every day.
While at the villa, he would contact the part-time worker and the cleaning company to handle his used clothes. They would not only dry-clean his outfits but also tidy up the villa.
Dressed and feeling good, he touched his short hair, which he hadn't cut in over a month and had grown a little longer.
However, this slightly longer hairstyle was quite common in Westeros.
Still, it felt a bit uncomfortable.
Jason Liu decided it was time for a haircut, so he planned to visit the barber shop. Mr. Tony was skilled and would do a great job.
As he drove towards the Wanda shopping mall in the city center, he was still getting used to driving and didn't want to exceed 70 miles per hour. The Ferrari sports car was easy to handle, with little traffic around.
"Come on! How much trouble could I get into?!" he thought, frustrated with the slow pace.
Finally, he arrived at the barber shop. Once inside, he took a moment to enjoy the pleasant aroma in the air while Mr. Tony washed, cut, and styled his hair.
After the haircut, Jason felt like a brand new person. A good hairstyle really made a difference in looking sharp!
When he checked the time, it was already 8:03 PM.
His expression tightened as he realized he was running late.
"Oh no, this isn't good!"
He was supposed to meet people for dinner, and being late was undeniably rude.
So, Jason Liu quickly got back into his car, pushed aside his worries, and increased his speed to 90 miles per hour. He arrived at Wanda in just five minutes.
"Phew! I nearly crashed into someone on the way!"
He vowed to himself, "I can't keep driving fast like this in the future!"
Getting a scratch on his car was one thing, but the real danger was risking others and his life.
From now on, he decided to avoid speeding . That was a promise he made to himself.
Pulling into the underground parking lot, Jason muttered to himself.
He took the elevator straight to what was reputed to be the most upscale Western restaurant in Wanda.
Lin Xiaohan had already sent him several messages on WeChat, asking if he had arrived yet.
Even Jiang Chuchu called him to check in.
He hurried into the restaurant, and with the help of a waiter, Jason apologetically took a seat across from the two lovely ladies.
As soon as he sat down, his gaze was drawn to Lin Xiaohan.
She was wearing a pure white dress that showcased her delicate collarbone. A small sapphire necklace hung around her neck—he couldn't tell if it was real sapphire—but against her fair skin, it sparkled beautifully.
His eyes traveled down... but that was as far as he could go!
It seemed Lin Xiaohan was still quite modest and hadn't dared to reveal more, but her soft, oval face, rated at a solid 90 points, made Jason silently admire her beauty.
Noticing Jason's open admiration, Lin Xiaohan's face turned slightly red. She lowered her head, playing with the straw in her juice, feeling pleased that all her effort in dressing up was paying off.
"Hey, senpai, watch out! Your eyes are going to fall out!" Jiang Chuchu teased, noticing Jason's intense gaze. "Come on, we all know Xiaohan is beautiful and a goddess to all the boys in your class, but you don't have to stare so obviously!"
Realizing he had been caught, Jason quickly averted his gaze, a bit embarrassed. "No, no, that's not true!"
Jiang Chuchu rolled her eyes. "I really don't get you guys. Whenever you're with your girlfriend, you still try to sneak a peek at beautiful women, as if you're trying to see how much you can get away with! Humph, scumbag!"
"I didn't! I really didn't! You're just talking nonsense!" Jason argued, his defense coming in a rapid-fire response. "Look, when I walked in here, I didn't even look at anyone else except Lin Xiaohan!"
"Uh-huh, sure. You were just staring at Xiaohan, weren't you?" Jiang Chuchu replied, only to realize something and stop short.
"Haha..." Lin Xiaohan laughed, her finger resting on her cherry-red lips, her head lowered as she enjoyed the moment.
Jiang Chuchu, recovering from her earlier surprise, straightened up. With her pretty features fierce and her teeth gritted, she confronted Jason. "What do you mean by that? Am I ugly?"
Taken aback by Jiang Chuchu's sudden anger, Jason was confused. When did he say she was ugly?
