Kentarou sobered up slightly. If he disobeyed a direct order, he would be grounded by the legion, and then he wouldn't be able to continue fighting, let alone avenge the uncle who had just sacrificed himself.

As Star Alliance deployed thousands of fighters, Teizene detonated a multitude of powerful nuclear bombs at once. From the beginning of the war to now, both sides had exhibited various technologies and tactics, juggling between deception, ambushes, sneak attacks, and bluffs. This move by the Sixteenth Prince dealt another blow to Bai Zhongqi.

"As long as the Shield Array holds, Teizene people are as steady as Mount Tai, and they can keep causing us trouble through other means," Bai Zhongqi had always understood this principle.

Lv Zhinian was faring much worse, unable to calm himself down, "Most of the Air Fleet on the Aquarius Aircraft Carrier has been compromised; Captain Lv Zhinian has already called back the surviving air fleet."

Hundreds of ballistic trajectories converged on the hull of the Aquarius, causing its Shield to be triggered instantly. Transparent ripples frenetically flashed, even making the entire warship shake.

Bai Zhongqi's expression grew stern. The scenario he least wanted to face had unfolded. Right from the beginning, he had used the firepower output of Earth's automatic weapons platforms to draw Teizene's ire. His real worry was that Teizene would choose one of the only seven main battle ships in the Star Alliance Fleet as their target. These seven main ships were the most crucial weapons of the Star Alliance, posing the greatest threat to Teizene. However, if the enemy used their Shield and then concentrated fire on any one of Star Alliance's main ships, that ship wouldn't be able to withstand such heavy damage.

If Teizene managed to break through one by one, taking out the main battle ships of Star Alliance, Bai Zhongqi's losses would be exceptionally severe, possibly even losing the chance for a turnaround.

The Aquarius had always sought to avoid close contact with enemy ships, and although it also possessed several powerful main cannons, Captain Lv Zhinian was very cautious. However, when their Air Fleet took a beating, Lv Zhinian had to adjust their course slightly to retrieve their fighters. It was at that moment that the Teizene people broke free from the binding force fields and concentrated their fire on the Aquarius, which they were previously unable to do.

Lv Zhinian navigated the Aquarius frantically, attempting to turn and retreat. Such a large warship was not very agile when turning, especially an aircraft carrier of the greatest size. In the face of such firepower, Bai Zhongqi didn't dare to allow escort ships to take the hit, since any one of them that approached would likely be blown up instantly.

After a struggle to turn around, the Aquarius finally began to fall back, but by then Teizene had already bombarded her with a barrage of shells.

Bai Zhongqi's fists clenched involuntarily. A Shield becoming unstable occurred after taking hits totalling half its capacity, a situation that couldn't be fully avoided by even the advanced technology of Iridium Star.

A cannon shell broke through the Shield and struck one of the Aquarius' turret arrays at the stern. When the next shell hit, the transparent ripples reappeared, resisting the subsequent attacks.

The shell had struck right where Cui Zhihao and his team were located. The hull of the Aquarius was exceptionally sturdy; though the turret was completely wrecked by the shot from the cannon of at least 500MW, the ship's body itself wasn't pierced through.

Cui Zhihao was knocked unconscious by the powerful blast the moment he was hit; he and Klei had slightly better luck, while several comrades in the next room were directly killed by the shock.

Although the warship wasn't pierced through, the local cabin compartments that were hit showed signs of damage, and a large amount of air inside the cabins began to leak out. The uniform on Cui Zhihao automatically raised its protection system, which could maintain him in the short term in conditions of decompression and oxygen deprivation, preventing him from dying directly in the vacuum of space.

Cui Zhihao had completely lost consciousness, and he didn't even have time to react at the moment he was hit.

The air gunner's room's door, which had been squeezed and deformed, was cut open with a laser blade, and Amamiya Takafumi, the armaments chief also equipped with a life support device, rushed in. Cui Zhihao was about to answer that he was fine when suddenly another shell hit near the Aquarius. The entire cabin corridor was torn open by this powerful blast, and the dark universe space, flashing with the fighting lights not far away, suddenly came down upon the two of them.

Cui Zhihao, who was already in and out of consciousness, was instantly swept out by the pressure difference, but Amamiya Takafumi, with his quick reflexes, grabbed him with one hand.

"Don't let go!" In his urgency, Amamiya shouted in Japanese.

Cui Zhihao was frightened into full alertness and tightly grasped Amamiya Takafumi's arm. Even though he had a life support device, the Aquarius was currently under such a terrifying attack; if the shield burst, explosions would occur all over the ship, and he would be directly killed by them.

Even if he didn't die in the explosions, drifting in space, the Star Alliance Universe Army would have no resources to rescue just one person. With such a formidable foe ahead, everyone would be putting all their efforts into fighting the Teizene.

Cui Zhihao's face was filled with panic, and when he saw Amamiya Takafumi's uniform, his expression dramatically changed.

"Armaments Chief, your life support device is already broken…"
