Chapter 192: 185 occupied the boat

Not all the soldiers of the Lighthouse Country resisted. On the USS Jackson, a group of soldiers from the United States Marine Corps were using the narrow spaces and corridors to counter the C country's amphibious assault troops.

Their officer, Captain Blaze of the Marine Corps, solemnly held his gun and suddenly flashed out from a corner, his M4 carbine firing repeatedly towards the other end, hoping to suppress the opponent with firepower.

Another officer, Tokam, shouted, "Blaze, you know we can't beat them, right? The entire fleet is screwed, and so are we!"

Blaze shouted back, "Fuck, I'm not an idiot, of course I know!"

The Marines nearby crazily opened fire, and bullets flew all over the ship's corridor. In fact, there was hardly any return fire. The Eagle Sauce Family's Marines were only firing unilaterally; they couldn't tell whether the opposition was dead or had simply given up the attack.

Blaze yelled, "To hell with it, America's soldiers won't surrender without firing a shot."

The African-American officer Tokam, exasperated, grabbed Blaze, who wanted to keep firing, and shouted, "Fuck you, you arrogant bastard, are you going to let our brothers die for your pride?"

Blaze, equally infuriated, pushed Tokam away. His eyes seemed to be filled with tears as he roared, "What do you think we are? We are soldiers sent to the battlefield to die, from the day we put on our dog tags, we were waiting for this day to come. If we don't fight now, there may be no America tomorrow!"

Tokam was taken aback, unsure how to retort, and an awkward silence ensued for a few seconds. Suddenly, the ceiling of the corridor above their heads was pierced by a laser beam, which moved forward like a knife slicing through butter, cutting a ten-foot length above their heads.

Blaze and Tokam instinctively raised their rifles and shot upwards, but just after a few shots were fired, the USS Jackson was rocked by a violent explosion that knocked down both them and other Marines.

A pair of sinister engineering claws extended from the fissure caused by the laser, forcefully tearing it open. The next moment, several figures in camouflage Battle Armor jumped down. The quicker-reacting Marines fired at them, but the small caliber rifle bullets were ineffectual, merely tickling them, and these armored figures didn't even flinch.

Even the Saber-toothed Tiger, though not the most advanced Powered Individual Armor, had mature kinetic energy absorption capabilities. Unlike ordinary Earth bulletproof vests that might not kill a person from a gunshot but the powerful impact could break several bones.

The amphibious assault troops, clutching a somewhat thick bullpup rifle, fired several shots at the resisting American soldiers. Nearly transparent airwaves struck the Marines, flinging them backwards, throwing them onto the ground in pain.

Tokam immediately shouted, "Don't fire, we surrender!"

But Blaze had no such intentions. He kept firing at an amphibious assault trooper, and even though the bullets ricocheted everywhere, even hitting his own comrades, he continued until his magazine was empty, his finger still on the trigger.

An amphibious assault trooper raised his hand and fired a shot that knocked Blaze down; the blow felt like a three-hundred-pound man had punched him in the stomach, causing the tenacious Captain of the Lighthouse Country to vomit on the ground, convulsing continuously.

At that moment, the amphibious assault soldiers shouted, "Drop your weapons, help your fallen comrades up, and leave the ship now."

"Let me remind you not to try any tricks, or you will die a horrible death."

On the Stennis aircraft carrier, the Sergeant Major opened his battle armor's face shield, revealing a stern face yet filled with a relaxed mood.

A few soldiers escorted captured individuals such as Major General Majinto and Colonel Kirkland out from the island structure of the ship, one soldier asked, "Instructor, the perpetrators have been captured, request further instructions."

Majinto, who understood Chinese, felt a surge of anger when he heard the word "perpetrators," but he was detained and surrounded by soldiers in powered individual armor, powerless to change his fate.

He recognized the tall Sergeant Major as the leader of these soldiers and shouted at him very loudly, "This is a war crime, a war crime! You are violating international law by openly provoking and attacking the United States forces, this is a war crime!"

Sergeant Major Wang Dong initially didn't want to bother with him, but after seeing his flushed face, he still walked over and said casually, "War crime? That's a term you hear in the post-war tribunal when the losers are brought before the victors. Unfortunately, in this war, you are not going to be on the winning side."

He chuckled, folded his arms, and with a carefree demeanor said, "The international laws of this planet weren't agreed upon by us Iridium Star people. Are you drunk or foolish? Have you ever seen a giant dragon abide by the rules set by insects?"

He grinned, patted the defeated navy major general, and with a look of pity in his eyes, said, "Being weak isn't your fault; it's the law of nature. But not even knowing what you're truly fighting for, being bossed around by beings who aren't even human, and being tricked and sent to your death by false concepts—that is the real tragedy."

The Sergeant Major waved his hand, "Move these prisoners of war out. Also, you guys over there, don't just stand around, there's a lot of clutter on the deck, throw it into the sea."

Ordered, a few amphibious assault soldiers quickly ran to a Super Hornet parked on the deck, fired a grappling rope from a special component on their arms, which embedded itself into the skin of the Super Hornet. The hooks dug deep into the interior of the fighter jet, and the soldiers actually dragged the jet across the deck and finally pushed it into the sea.

In the past, this would have been a valuable fighter jet worth tens of millions of dollars to Country C, valuable in many ways. But now, if the soldiers of Country C find it obstructive, they would kick it off the aircraft carrier to provide more space for the landing of transport aircraft.

The Sergeant Major looked towards the littoral combat ship USS Jackson, its aluminum superstructure particularly vulnerable to fire. Amidst the assault, the ship was already enveloped in flames, and the prisoners had been evacuated. The C military had no intention of extinguishing the fire and saving the ship, letting it burn fiercely on the water surface until it finally sank into the sea.

The remaining warships had been entirely occupied by the amphibious assault troops of Country C.

More than ten minutes later, the Shandong aircraft carrier battle group also arrived in the region. Its size seemed smaller compared to the Stennis, but it boasted an upper structure with a relatively more sci-fi appearance.

Lv Zhinian gazed at the Stennis, its flight deck now a gathering place for prisoners of war and transport aircraft, and couldn't help but be captivated. He knew that from this point on, the last breath of Lighthouse Country was about to be drawn.
