Extra Lore: General History of Orbis, Third Millennia AE and the Destruction of Auria

During the 2000s AE:

By the turn of the 3rd Millenium AE, in 2001 AE, the last Megnessian city of Leukanthos fell to the forces led by the Filirex Asternix. With that victory, All of Megnessos was now under the rule of the Meliomnian Dynasty and with that its riches.

Artaxerxes was worried by the success of the Elves but many internal problems within his Realm divided his attention as he finally decided to settle a peace treaty with Magnicordis which was agreed upon in 2004 AE.

In 2016 AE, Magnicordis decided to host a great feast to commemorate his conquest of Megnessos as well as his 1000th birthday in the Famed Great Palace Gardens of Leukanthos. However, during the feast, a great tragedy occured. A group of assassins had infiltrated the feast, broken through several layers of guards and murdered the Magnarex, making Magnicordis the first monarch of the Elven Empire to be assassinated at age 1000.

The assassination of Magnicordis sent a huge shockwave throughout the Empire especially when it was discovered that a section of the Paracordis guards were involved with the assassination plot with the ringleader eventually revealed to be high-ranking Atraxian Politicians looking to destabalise Aurigenia.

While the leaders of Aurigenia were incensed and wanted to mount an immediate response and a reignition of armed conflict, many members of the Imperial council pointed out that the breach of security within the Paracordian guard proved them untrustworthy and so a purge was carried out. Asternix was officially crowned in 2018 AE and by 2020 AE, he had disbanded the Paracordian guard and consigned many of the more veteran soldiers of the guard to perilous positions on the frontlines in the coming war. The incident caused a massive distrust and a higher amount of discrimination towards the human citizens of the Empire.

War was resumed by the Elves in 2024 AE when Asternix mounted an invasion of the Eosian Peninsula which was met by a great bulk of the Atraxian army and fleet.

The Second Atraxo-Aurian war was fought between 2024 AE - 2051 AE with the main battlefield being the Eosian Peninsula. The war came to another ceasefire when after the battle of Amolith where the Elven Army of 15,000 strong faced off against an Atraxian army twice the size, and the elves under the leadership of Asternix pulled through though not without costing Asternix to suffer a fatal injury from battle which damaged his mana circuits. He died two years after in 2053 AE aged 804 having only reigned for 35 years. He was suceeded by his son, Deveris Caelum who was crowned as Magnarex in 2054 at age 541.

Deveris spent most of his early reign stabilising his realm from the recent conquests as well as pacifying the many Megnessian cities that were suffering unrest as well as consolidating power over the few Eosian port cities they acquiesed from the Atraxians.

During the 2100s AE:

The wars with Atraxia cost the Aurigens a steep price in both resources and manpowers and so quite some time was taken to stabilise the Empire. However, some among the nobles of Aurigenia were quite dissatisfied with what they viewed as much loss for little gain in their wars in Euris. One of the most dissatisfied ones was Deveris's younger brother Velomnis. Though Velomnis was still young by Elven standards, he was already a very accomplished veteran Adventurer and a very powerful spellsword.

In 2106, not heeding the warnings of the Imperial council and going against the express wishes of the Magnarex, Velomnis and his older sister Lunavissa - an equally powerful spellcaster and healer - along with around three thousand other adventurers (Most of whom were themselves the younger children of the Noble Elven families but a great many of them were also the 'free' humans of Anthroian descent and a good number of the Beastmen also joined along with all their respective retainers) along with several thousand more Inferii slaves totalling about 10,000 souls gathered at the Port city of Megaster in Eos under the pretext of conducting a large scale raid on a notedly treacherous dungeon in the area. The dungeon was quickly dealt with but instead of turning in the rewards to the Collegia, Velomnis gathered his Adventuring Army and made way to the Atraxian satrapy of Misra known to the Aurians and Anthroians as Tamra(nis).

The invasion force had landed at the start of the year 2107 AE. At that time, Tamra itself was rife with unrest and rebellions against the Atraxians which gave the perfect chance for Velomnis to seize the initiative. Around the same time, the bulk of the Atraxian army of Misra was held up quashing rebel Tamrian forces.

Shahanshah Darius II sent an angry emissary to the court of Deveris demanding an explanation for the sudden invasion to which Deveris denied all allegations and assured the Atraxians that the invasion force had no backing by the state of Auria and they were a rogue force who posed as much a threat to Aurigen lands as they did to Atraxia. Deveris publicly made a show of exiling the renegades and striking every free noble and citizen involved in the invasion from their respective official registries, naming them outcasts. In private, however, the situation favoured him greatly and while he didn't give any real support to the invasion, he implicitly didn't hinder his brother in any meaningful way either.

The battered Atraxian army were beaten decisively in battle in 2108 AE and Velomnis quickly captured the old City of Matru - an Important city of the ancient Tamrian civilisation - which he made his base of operations in this new land. Velomnis had always been among the more liberal-minded of the Elves given his role as an adventurer having to frequently fight shoulder to shoulder with any warrior regardless of class or race and being saved multiple times by humans and the fact that he was trained in his early youth by the elites of the now-defunct Paracordian guards. This coupled with his interest and fascination with the Eurisian continent, specifically the Old Tamrian Civilisation (an interest he received and shared with his elder sister), made for the perfect way for him to pacify his newly conquered realm. He and Lunavissa had both studied and learnt the culture of the Tamrians as well as the language of the peoples, and so they gathered all the high priests of the realm and declared themselves divine by virtue of their Meliomnian blood as well as divine right of conquest. That along with Velomnis's and Lunavissa's martial and magical prowess which they showed when defeating an incoming Atraxian recovery army led the Tamrians to call them the incarnations of Motre and Hekamet.

In 2110 AE, Velomnis took on the ancient title of 'Pharaoh' as ruler of Tamra. In accordance with ancient Tamrian tradition, Velomnis took his sister Lunavissa as his wife and married her. This move naturally made many of his followers uneasy and some saw it as a disgusting abomination, however Velomnis framed it as they were the descendants of the Dei and Incarnations of Deities of the New Realm, such an action was only natural to preserve the divine lineage (Though largely seen as a political move to secure legitimacy, many eyebrows were raised when only in the following year Lunavissa had given birth to their first son, who they named Novoris Gratis. Elven pregnancies usually last ~2-3 years). Because they had been officially struck from the registry of the Meliomnian dynasty, Velomnis named his new line the 'Novatiran Dynasty'.

Velomnis had greatly consolidated his hold over Tamria by 2130 AE and the cultural exchange between the Elves and Tamrians was a two-way street as the Aurian influences upon Tamria was clear with new styles of architecture as well as syncreticism of faiths and cultures.

After another victory over the Atraxians in 2135 AE, Velomnis finally managed to achieve peace with the new Shahanshah Ashina III.

Relations between the new State of Tamria and the Old Empire of Aurigenia remained estranged throughout the 22nd century.

During the 2200s AE:

An official reconciliation between Velomnis and his brother Deveris finally took place in 2295 AE with the two brothers agreeing to have each other's descendant wed the other. Deveris's eldest grandson, Amatus Gratis ( 226 years old) would marry the Princess of Tamria, daughter of Velomnis, the Great young beauty Tamarisa (170 years old), sung in the Poems and Hymns as the greatest beauty in all the known world at the time. She was born with black hair and different coloured eyes of blue and gold. The aura around her gave off an air of elegance, radiance, and raw beauty. She was also a very skilled healer equipped with powerful magecraft.

During the 2300s AE:

Luceris Mundis was born to Amatus Gratis and Tamarisa in 2305 AE

An Ocean dungeon appeared off the coast of Marimagna in 2375 AE which all of a sudden exploded into a dungeon outbreak. Magnarex Deveris personally led a subjugation force of the Aurigenian Navy to deal with the sea monsters. After a harrowing week of battle, the dungeon break was quelled. A large kraken was personally slain by Deveris and as a show of triumph, he ordered for the creature to be cooked and a banquet to be held the following week.

Though the meat had been studied and tested by the magicians and scholars of the Empire, tragedy struck when a great many members of the Meliomnian dynasty suffered from food poisoning from consuming the Kraken's meat. Though most people survived the ordeal, because the Magnarex and his Consort ate the meat from the more mana-concentrated parts of the beast, an imbalance appeared and the two were bedridden for a better part of 3 years before Deviris gave up the ghost in 2378 AE aged 865 while his wife survived.

Filirex Dominum Caelis succeeded his father as Magnirex and was crowned the following year.

During the 2400s AE:

Reports had been coming in from the far West that the Empire's territories there were being constantly raided by the Silvanian Elves. Though most of the Southern half of Terradome had been under the solid control of the Elven Imperium for centuries including the Nalians who at this point were little more than merchants and sailors who were a client state to Aurigenia, the existence of those ancient cowards had still been a thorn in the side of the Aurigenian efforts to cultivate the lands close to the Silvan forests. Numerous raiding parties would be sent to burn farmlands and harrass settlers in the West. There were fears that continued provocation might lead to revolt among the Nalians and Asmari peoples who were subject to the Elven Imperium.

It was finally in 2480 AE that Dominum decided to take a proper stance towards the Elves of the Woodlands. He sent an official diplomatic mission headed by his heir, Amatus gratis and his grandson Luceris towards the most prominent City in the forests of Silvania, the Great City of Noavia.

Noavia, the city hidden in the Forests, whose natural beauty would cause most to lose their breath at the sight. The Silvanian forests were home to Huge trees that could on their own be larger than most towns and villages. Streams and waterfalls adorned the city as the vines filled with many beautiful coloured flowers decorated the walls of buildings. The city itself though located in a central part of the forest had cliff-like stone walls surrounding it built by the old Fortian and Fabrian elves who escaped there with large Redwood trees with defenses and buildings on them acting as sentry towers along the walls. The Palace of Noavia was a grand construction, a giant tree which looked to stretch to the heavens that could be seen from afar adorned with intricate balconies, battlements, and palatial decks on it in an architectural style very reminiscent of ancient Auria. Many of the trees and stones had classical carvings of statues of Gods, important figures, and animals on them. Luceris was greatly mesmerised by the serenity of it all.

Amatus and Luceris had met with the current Sovereign of the Forests and Head of the Council of the 13 Great Clans. A direct descendant of Fortunis and Februa, the 10th Sovereign of the Woodland Realms, High Lord Brenniric Ordavrin.

Negotiations for truce and treaties were intense but it was finally decided that peace and trade would be tried but with one of the conditions being that Luceris be left in Noavia as a noble hostage for at least a decade. Amatus at first was incensed but it was Luceris himself, drawn by the beauty of the Woodland Realms, who convinced his father to allow him to stay in Noavia to which Amatus finally reluctantly agreed.

During the 2500s AE:

Luceris spent almost 30 years living life in the forests of Silvania. At first the locals saw him with distrust as even though they were all elves, thousands of years of separation from each other as well as the different environmental situations made many differences between the Aurigens and the Silvanians. First, the Silvanians had a generally shorter stature than Aurian elves but were far more athletic and robust but were a little less attuned with raw magic and mana. Secondly, their hair sported more toned colours of black, dark brown, and auburn with some even featuring more greenish shades compared to the Aurians who more commonly sported Blonde, Platinum blonde, Silver, and bluish shades. Thirdly, the Silvanians had better eyesight especially in the dark compared to their Aurian cousins.

Luceris had an innate penchant to learn all sorts of magic. In Silvania, he proved his genius when he managed to attain a high degree of mastery in the Druidic arts after only a little over a decade after learning from the Great Greenseers and Druids of the Wood. He was even granted the title of Greenseer himself when he used his skills to mend the wood around him to bend to his will and slay a great Beast of the Forest and saving the life of the Silvanian Princess and Daughter of Brenniric, the Lady Fioren Ordavrin who he had spent much time with during his stay in Silvania as a fellow student of the Greenseers.

With the blessings of the Silvan Realm and the Woodland Council, but without first informing the Imperial Council of Auria, Luceris married Fioren in 2508 AE.

When news of the marriage reached the Imperial Capital of Magnia, it was met with mixed reactions. Some were outraged by the actions of the young princeling to make such a decision without first informing the Imperial Council, while others praised the stroke of fortune as they had thought that this might prove to help in pacifying Silvania as did the marriage between Luceris's own parents strengthened the bonds between Tamria and Auria.

Magarex Dominum and his son fell into the latter camp of being greatly pleased with news of the marriage between his grandson and the Silvanian Princess. He quickly got to establishing friendlier official relations between Auria and the Great Forests.

Luceris and his wife officially moved their residences to the Great Elven Capital of Magnia in 2510 where they held another official and grander wedding. Though Noavia's splendor was no less grand than the ancient city, the pristine stone and marble architecture of giant temples and palaces was still a sight to behold. Luceris was greatly amused by his wife's childlike wonder as he teased her of the even grander and more ancient cities of Euris, particularly his mother's homeland of Tamria.

Fioren tried to make herself at home at the Imperial court of Magnia but she always felt ostracized by the courtiers and nobles of Auria. She mainly found solace in her husband Luceris and also found a great fondness for her mother-in-law, the still stunningly beautiful Lady Tamarisa, who recounted her own struggles as being viewed as the abominable-incest-born and foreign-raised bastard of two exiled traitors of the dynasty.

Luceris and Fioren's first child, Paxauris Aeternis, was born in 2522 AE.

With Aurigenia in a better position politically than it had ever been before, Dominum decided to take advantage of the rapidly decaying Atraxian realm mired by decades of civil strife, unrest, and factionalism to wage a war of conquest. The campaign began in 2551 AE and so began the third Atraxo-Aurian War. In this conflict, Auria was joined by all the other Elven states of Silvania and Tamria.

During the 2600s AE:

By 2612 AE, all of the Eosene peninsula had been conquered by the Aurigens and by that point, not a single Anthroian lived outside the purview of Elven subjugation.

The most pivotal and final battle of the war, the battle of the Akshuran Hills was fought in 2615 AE between the combined might of 25,000 of the United Elven Army against the near 40,000 Atraxians. One of the largest battles ever seen in history up to that point. The battle ended with the Death of the Atraxian Shahanshah Darius V and the subsequent suing of peace from the Atraxians, breaking apart their empire as Suharmashta were curtailed back to the borders of their regions proper.

A great triumph and Victory feast was held in 2620 AE and in the following years, a great Assembly council and meeting was convened in Magnia, inviting representatives from the Silvanian Clans as well as the Realm of Tamria.

It was a highly esteemed gathering as in the Great Halls of the Magnian Palace, close to the ancient sacred Grove, there sat the most powerful people of the three realms. the Magnarex of the Aurigenians, Dominum, the High Lord of the Silvanians, Brenniric, and the Great Pharaoh, Sun and Moon of the world, Velomnis, along with their most esteemed courtiers be they the Heads of the 13 Great Clans of the Forest, the High Priests of the Mortuary Cult and Sentries of Tamria, or the Sacred members of the Imperial Council, all were gathered in Magnia to discuss a sort of Unification of the Elves as the Foremost of the Children of the Dei.

After years of deliberation as Elves usually do, it was finally decided on the structure of the new Unified realm. the three Sovereigns agreed after many arguments and debates, that the head of each realm would still independently and autonomously Govern their respective domains to which the Silvanians be granted dominion of Expansion Westwards and North towards the Savage lands of the Primeval forests and Gaolian and Slavian tribes northwards. To the Tamrians, mastery and dominion over Eastward expansion was given, towards the Atraxian Lands and the Plains of Hilalia and the Deserts afar. Aurigenia was in turn given proper recognition as the most prominent of the Elven States and the Magnarex of Aurigenia be declared the title 'First Among Firsts', High Lord Councillor of all Elves, this in return for military support towards the other constituent members of the Empire. Thus in 2635 AE, the foundation of the Meliomnian Imperium of Auria, Tamria, and Silvania was declared officially.

Many more important strategic marriages were panned here between the Elven states. Brenniric's prime Heir, Astrion, was married to Princess Amaranna of Tamria, while the pharaoh's grandson took on another daughter of Breniric as his consort, thus establishing official relations between the Elves of Silvania and the (now called Dark) Elves of Tamria.

During the 2700s AE:

The Elven Imperium entered into a golden Era, but the discrimination done by the Elves towards the non-elven and non-parsanguen races reached uncharted heights, what with all the conquests done against the human powers. Even the more notable human statesmen within the empire grew increasingly more sidelined as Elves from the other corners of the world began to arrive in the court. The only ones granted special status as parsanguen were the 'Dark Elves' of Tamria and the Land of Tamria in general being relatively more egalitarian in their view of races.

The Dark Elves were the youngest breed of Mixed-Elves, being born from the brood of Velomnes's Elven compatriots during his conquests of Tamria as many of them interbred with the human women of Tamria, though most being the offspring of the High priests of the mortuary cults and the like being more attuned with the Ancient Magic of Old than regular humans. Coupled with their combined abilities to bring about and refocus the powerful nascent mana of the Great River and Deserts of Hilal, made the Dark Elves a different divergence from the original Aurians much like how the Ancient Fortians and Fabrians became what were now the Silvanians.

Dark Elves had more tanned/brownish/olive-oiled skin compared to their Western Cousins and with Black and dark blonde (with some auburn/dark brown) hair being the most prevalent. They were stockier than their western cousins and were born used to withstanding the scorching heat of Tamria. Due to the mixed heritage, their lifespans were just the minutia shorter than their cousins, living more generally to their 800s-900s, though it was still not unheard of to reach a millenia of age.

In 2757 AE, Dominum breathed his last as he died in his sleep after a night of feasting aged 1023. Some speculated foul play in the death of the Magnarex whilst others noted Dominum never really lived a healthy lifestyle and it was gracious he lived to that age compared to his predecessors who died of unfortunate circumstances.

Amatus was proclaimed Magnarex the following year and was reaffirmed as Primus inter Primae in the following Council of the Imperium.

Many riots and unrests by the human Inferii slaves started happening by the mid 2780s. Though Luceris scoffed at the humans, Fioren was sympathetic and strived to work and petition on behalf of the humans.

During the 2800s AE:

During a localised incident of the Inferii slave rebellion in 2804 in Marimagna, Fioren was caught in the midst of the rabble as she was trying to protect some children from the masses. The slaves managed to grab hold of weapons and magical devices that severely limited the Princess's magical powers and combat ability as well as incapacitating the guards assigned to her. By the time reinforcements of the royal guards arrived, what was left was the severely beaten, naked with dress torn, half-dead and pale body of the princess. Luceris had hurriedly arrived at the scene and was utterly horrified by what he saw. Not caring for anything else, Luceris immediately hauled his wife's body to the nearest temple for healing.

For weeks on end, while her condition managed to stabilise, Fioren was still left in a comatose state. In his utter rage, Luceris had personally executed all the captured Inferii slave warriors involved in the incident, in fact, his rage was so large he did not stop at the slaves involved in the revolt, but he slaughtered the Inferii women and children of Marimagna as well, both with his soldiers and personally. It went so far as giving out an edict for all nobles of the city to relinquish their slaves to be brought to the city center. Some were burnt alive, some were put to the sword, while thousands more were drowned in the harbour, to the last man woman and child. Old and the infirm. A month of slaughter depleted the city of its entire Inferii population including Inferii soldiers and Inferomagi. Estimates say that up to a hundred thousand people were killed.

Many of the Elven nobles of Marimagna issued letters of complaint to the Magnarex for the 'extreme actions' of the Filirex and Amatus became deeply concerned for the well-being of his son. And so he placed the Filirex under heavy surveillance.

For the following decades, Luceris became more and more of a recluse, immersing himself in deep study of magic and the arcane all for the single-minded purpose of restoring his beloved wife. His quest for a cure would take him to the ends of the world, to the deepest and most dangerous of dungeons for rare materials, and even into more

forbidden

realms of study. That of Blood magic. Rumors abounded that Luceris was even in contact with unknown supranatural beings of realms yet to be known. All of this took the better part of a century to fully research.

Many among the Council of the Imperium were looking towards a removal of the Filirex from his position as heir as the Council feared for his sanity, however, what remained an undisputable fact was that up until that point, Luceris was the single most powerful Mage Terradome had ever seen. His skills were made apparent when he barged into the Forbidden Libraries of the Magus Arcaneum. Four of the most powerful Archmages of the Arcaneum tried to stop Luceris, but aided by his single-minded obsession, he defeated the four archmages and continued on with his research unbothered. Ever since he was born, Luceris always had a far larger mana reservoir than most people and even has more innate talent and training than most people. That coupled with his training in Tamrian Magic from his mother, Imperial Magic from his upbringing, and Druidic magic he achieved during his time in Silvania, has made his knowledge and prowess far more versatile than even the most skilled mages within the realm and perhaps all of Orbis at the time. It was around this time where people started calling the Filirex 'Atramagis'.

All this came to head in 2895 AE when Atramagis finally committed a profane blood ritual deep in the forests of Silvania, upon which he and a few of his most devoted students and followers committed acts of casting, spelling, and sacrificing of many Inferii lives and even some Elven ones, in order to restore his beloved Wife. However what came about from the ritual with the help of the deepest pits of the Abyss and of aid by Daemonic forces, Fioren was awoken, but she was not the same. Her skin was ghostly pale, her brown hair turned a ghast white but her eyes were black and red. When she looked at her husband, she could only say one thing '...What happened to me??' Before she began to scream in pain as what felt like a great thirst had consumed here and she was raging. It was only shortly after that Atramagis realised something and quickly took a freshly slain body of one of his victims and threw it at Fioren did she show a most gruesome scene. Fioren had grown fangs as sharp as those of a wolf beast's and sunk them in the nape of the slave sacrifice before consuming the morsel, draining it of blood and life force. It was only after the fifth body being dried up did the Former Elven Princess regain a semblance of her consciousness. She was utterly horrified at what she had become. There was born the first Blood Elf, much more well known as 'the Vampire'.

During the 2900s AE:

Fioren first grew hatred towards her beloved for how she was turned into her current condition, for a decade did she stay in the forests, not wanting to make contact with any people for risk of harming them, but eventually the thirst could not be sated by means of regular beasts. In one of her blind rages of thirst, Fioren attacked Atramagis and struck him at his nape with her fangs. Though he was powerful enough to destroy her, his love couldn't allow him to retaliate so he resigned himself to his fate of dying in the hands of his beloved. Just as he was about to die, Fioren regained herself and stopped. She was even more horrified and wanted to run away but Atramagis instead caught and embraced her warmly as he strengthened himself with mana. He swore his oath of matrimony to her anew and pledged to never abandon her. It was only in 2906 AE did the couple return to Magnia.

Fioren had to wear clothes that covered most of her skin in the day and keep to the shades as the Sun's rays proved deathly to her, able to burn her skin in mere moments and destroy her. Atramagis had arranged for her thirst to be quenched with a steady supply of Inferii sacrifices to be consumed daily. Fioren's physical prowess grew sharply, comparable to that of even the most seasoned beastmen warriors whilst her magical affinity and healing capabilities also grew tremendously.

In 2915 AE, against all odds, Fioren gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. They inherited their mother's deathly complexion. The boy was named Sanguinis Divinus while the girl was named Sanguina Divina.

Soon the court started to notice the vile going ons within the capital from the royal heir and his consort, but things really started to turn sour when the young twins - yet unable to control their thirst - jumped and killed one of their nursemaids, a noble elf Lady, daughter to the current Praefect and Lord of Vitania. This sparked an outrage that could be hidden no more and Amatus Gratis worked to nip the problem in the bud and proclaimed for the execution of his daughter-in-law and his youngest Grandsires as they were abominations. Thus Began 'The Bloodlet Rebellion' which would engulf the Elven Imperium for the next two decades. The incident began when Atramagis slayed the Auricustan troop sent to arrest and capture his wife.

Regardless of the Princess's current condition, the Silvanian Elves refused to have their Princess to be so one-sidedly trialled by an Aurian Council and so Brenneric threw in his lot with his son-in-law and declared for Atramagis. Meanwhile, due to his Tamrian blood and an estrangement of Amatus and his wife Tamarissa, the Tamrians outwardly chose to stay out of the internal conflict but implicitly supplied Atramagis's troops with resources needed to campaign. Auria proper was split with loyalists and conservatives siding with the Magnarex whilst the more staunch supremacists sided with Atramagis.

After a 20 year long war, in 2936 AE, Atramagis defeated his father in the Battle of Magia and slew him in battle. Some say it was inevitable and an honourable duel in battle, while others regardless considered it a massive sin of Patricide and Kinslaying. But regardless of that, a new era had emerged and in 2937 AE, Atramagis had crowned himself the new Magnarex of the Imperium for nearly the next century, Auria knew no peace or comfort as the 'Blood Century' had begun.

Atramagis' reign was characterised by bloody oppression as he let reign unspeakable horrors all in the name of 'research' of the arcane arts. His quests for knowledge grew more obscene and the Non-Elven and Parsanguen races felt the brunt of the Cruelty as they were subject towards cruel experimentations and even further degraded to be treated like cattle.

In the 2950s, Atramagis had elevated many of his most loyal and staunch supporters into positions of power and granted them the 'Sanguinaire' or the Gift of Blood. It was found that besides Fioren birthing more 'Trueblood' Vampires from her spawn, subjecting someone through a meticulous ritual of blood-draining, mana-drawing, and blood infusion from a Trueblood Vampire could create another Trueblooded vampire. Atramagis even reformed many of the Auricustans into his new Crimson Guard regiment by granting them the sanguinaire, all of this without Atramagis himself succumbing to the allure of vampirism. These new 'Blood Elves' were named the Rubrigens though Atramagis was careful to keep their numbers constrained.

During the 3000s AE:

Many among the nobles and people of Auria grew greatly dissatisfied with Atramagis's regime, so they began a conspiracy to overthrow him. The leader of the conspiracy was none other than the Filirex Paxauris himself. There were rumors that the Magnarex was planning to pass over his Eldest child in favour of his children born with the Sanguinaire. In 3002 AE, Paxauris had decided to leave the Capital and Center of Power towards his grandmother's homeland of Tamria. There, he along with many of the Greatest Mages within the Empire sought to conduct a dangerous experiment in order to overturn the situation. It was a great summoning ritual that they were about to conduct in secret. To do this spell, an extraordinary amount of materials in magical stones and the like was needed and many of the Archmages and nobles within the conspiracy sacrificed much to gather what they needed to complete the summoning.

In 3010 AE, the summoning was conducted in the fields outside of Matru's grand Temple Complex and thus were summoned the Great Heroes of another worold. Somewhere around ~1500 people were summoned to the world of Orbis. To the Elves surprise, they were all humans, foreign-looking, with strange clothing, they didn't even seem to speak the same language and mass confusion was the order of the day, but one thing was clear. From a mere sensory glance, it could be felt that the mana potential of these individuals was out of this world and their power was terrifying.

It took the heroes several years to fully acclimatise themselves to their current situation and they were subjected to intense and rigorous training. At first, many of the Elven trainers were hesitant on training what outwardly looked like humans but it was clear that they were much more powerful. Besides regular training, they were taken to many dungeon raids for practical experience and it was found that the Heroes truly increased the most in terms of power during these dungeon incursions and mana training in the Manarealms. During the entire process, many of the heroes had died early due to failure to acclimatise with the world but the vast majority persevered and became more powerful as a result.

Among all the heroes, the most powerful of them and He who was chosen Leader was the one who would later be called Soterios. His original name was said to be Silas/Sylvester. Along with him, among the thousand heroes, there would be about two dozen who were the most prominent. The heroes were motivated by the promise of a return to their world and great prizes in order to help overthrow the Blood Tyrant. After only a decade, the heroes managed to grow in such strides in power that the more powerful among them managed to defeat their Elven Archmage and Warrior mentors who had centuries of experience with such ease. The growth was truly unprecedented. It was also discovered after the second decade, that the heroes did not age normally as they had remained biologically the same as when they were first summoned, regardless of the fact that over a decade had passed from their first summoning.

The True test finally came about in 3023 AE when Atramagis's suspicions finally came to heel and he discovered his heir's treacherous plans. And so began the Deiomachy. Many Heroes would eventually lose their lives in the conflict.

Atramagis was finally slain by Soterios in 3028 AE during the Great Siege of Magnia. The majority of the Rubrigens were slaughtered but some managed to escape. By the end of the Deiomachy, the heroes would lose a third of their number leaving only a little over a thousand, but despite that, they were still at that point the most powerful military force on the face of Orbis.

In 3029 AE, Paxauris was crowned the new Magnarex. At first, the heroes celebrated their benefactor's ascension, but when the time came for the heroes to claim Paxauris's claim of returning them back to their world, the Elf reneged as he admitted from the start no one knew how and the resources needed to do it were unknown and immeasurable. The Heroes were incensed but chose to keep quiet. The straw that broke the camel's back was when the Heroes sought justice and emancipation for the Inferii to be freed from slavery, they were accosted and denied by the Elven Imperium Council.

Not willing to tolerate anymore from the Elves, Soterios proclaimed the 'Liberatio' later known as the Great Latin Human Rebellion in 3032 AE. The heroes liberated many of the Inferii and even went around to the Anthroian City-states to eliminate any Elven Garrison there and proclaim the peoples liberated. The starved and impoverished Aurian army, after the decades of conflict and rebellion could, not withstand the onslaught brought upon by the heroes. A total of 4 to 5 major cities in Auria - including the Capital of Magnia - were devastated by the Fury of the heroes. Temples were ransacked, slave houses destroyed, and the Truly heinous Elven families in the eyes of Soterios were decimated.

Paxauris finally surrendered and admitted defeat as he begged for mercy on his knees at the feet of Soterios. Soterios merely left the groveling Elf as he along with his heroic companions led a massive exodus of millions of Inferii out of Auria in search for a new homeland. The devastation left in the wake of the fury of the Heroes finally ended the Splendor of the Aurian Imperium as the united Elven Empire ended that year.
