Frozen Desire

Chapter 9: Chapter Eight: The Fire of Us

Cassian's hands gripped her waist with a sudden urgency, his fingers digging into her skin as he pushed her gently but firmly against the wall. The contact sent a wave of heat through her body, and before she could even process the shift, his lips were back on hers—fierce, hungry, demanding.

Seraphina's breath hitched as her back collided with the cold surface, but the chill didn't last. His body pressed against hers like a storm, hard and unyielding, the heat of him seeping into her every pore. She could feel his chest rising and falling, his rapid breath matching the frantic pounding of her heart. His hands—strong, controlled—began to explore, tracing the curves of her body under her blouse. The touch was both possessive and gentle, as if he were trying to learn every inch of her, make her feel the weight of his desire.

The moment his fingers brushed her skin, she gasped, her body reacting to him in ways she hadn't expected. Every inch of her seemed to burn where his hands roamed—over her ribcage, down her spine, her stomach, her hips. She could feel the hard line of his body pressed against hers, and it made her dizzy, her pulse spiraling. His touch wasn't just physical—it was like he was marking her, owning her in a way she didn't think she could allow. But somehow, she didn't want him to stop.

Her own hands trembled as they slid up his chest, feeling the rapid beat of his heart beneath the fabric of his shirt. She could sense how tightly controlled he was, how much effort it took for him to keep his composure, but it wasn't enough to hide the raw need in his eyes, the way his body reacted to hers. The heat between them was palpable, as though they were both on the edge of something that could shatter everything if they let it.

Sera's hands found their way to the hem of his shirt, fingers trembling as she tugged it over his head. The second the fabric slid off, her hands wandered over his chest, tracing the definition of muscle and scar, feeling the tension in his shoulders as he leaned into her. Cassian groaned against her lips, the sound raw and deep, and it sent a fresh wave of heat rushing through her. He was losing control, just like her.

He kissed her again—fiercer this time, the kiss a melding of urgency and raw emotion. His tongue slipped into her mouth with the same possessiveness as his hands had explored her body. Her mind spun, her senses overwhelmed by the sensations—his scent, his taste, the heat of his body against hers. She felt as though she were unraveling, losing herself in him, and there was nothing she could do to stop it.

Her hands slid down to his pants, tugging at the waistband, desperate for more contact, more of him. Cassian's breath hitched as he pulled away just long enough to look at her, his eyes darker than she had ever seen them. "Are you sure?" he asked, his voice strained, but his gaze intense and unwavering.

She could see the uncertainty in his eyes, but it only fueled the fire inside her. "Yes," she breathed, before pulling him back to her, her mouth finding his in a searing kiss.

Cassian groaned again, his hands moving down her body to the hem of her blouse. He didn't hesitate this time, his fingers slipping beneath the fabric, brushing over her skin as he lifted the shirt off. She was bare before him now, and the intensity in his gaze made her shiver, made her ache in a way that left her speechless.

She didn't have time to process his every look or every touch. He pushed his hips into hers, a soft growl escaping his throat when he felt how her body responded—how the heat between them was unbearable, impossible to ignore. Sera could feel his erection pressing against her, and it only made her more aware of her own want, her own need.

Cassian's hands roamed to her back, his fingertips grazing over the smoothness of her skin before reaching the clasp of her bra. He made quick work of it, his movements urgent, his patience fraying with each passing second. He was taking her apart, piece by piece, and in the process, she was doing the same to him.

The second the straps fell away, his lips were on her again, trailing kisses down her neck and across her collarbone. He felt her pulse beneath his lips, quickening as his hands cupped her breasts, his thumbs brushing across the sensitive peaks. A soft cry escaped her lips, and she couldn't suppress the rush of desire that flooded her body in response.

Cassian's touch was relentless, leaving no part of her untouched. His hands slid lower, exploring the curve of her hips, the tautness of her thighs, until she was gasping, her hands gripping his shoulders for balance.

The electricity between them was building again, higher and higher, until neither of them could hold back any longer. He pressed her harder against the wall, his body moving with hers as he finally drove them both into a frenzy.

With every kiss, every touch, every movement, Seraphina's walls continued to crumble. And in their place, something deeper, something raw, began to take root.

The air between them crackled with an electric charge as Cassian's body pressed into hers, trapping her between the cold wall and the heat of his chest. She could feel his breath, heavy and quick, just inches from her ear, as his hands continued their exploration of her body. His fingers slid over the smooth curve of her waist, skimming the edges of her skin, sending sparks of sensation across her body.

Her back arched instinctively, the pressure of the wall digging into her spine only adding to the tension that wound tighter with every passing second. Cassian's hands were everywhere now—touching the soft, heated skin of her stomach, his touch sending shocks of heat straight through her veins. He moved with a fierce purpose, pulling her closer as though he couldn't bear any distance between them.

Sera gasped, the closeness overwhelming her, and instinctively her hands found his chest again, her fingers trembling as they touched him. Cassian his lips capturing hers in a kiss that was both desperate and unrestrained. His mouth moved over hers with urgency, his tongue claiming her as his, the kiss deepening, raw with need.

His body pushed into hers even harder, pinning her to the wall, and Seraphina's breath caught in her throat at the sheer force of it. She could feel the solid strength of him—his muscle, his heat, the promise of something she hadn't fully understood before now. Her body responded in kind, pressing back against him, matching his intensity as she ran her hands down his torso, feeling the tautness of his abs under her fingertips.

Cassian's hands moved again, his gaze locked onto hers, a silent challenge in his eyes. "Don't pull away from me now, Sera," he breathed, his voice low and commanding, yet laced with something vulnerable—something raw. "Not after everything."

Her chest tightened as his words hit her, a flutter of uncertainty passing through her for a split second before it was smothered by the heat of his touch. She couldn't pull away, not now, not when every inch of her skin burned for him, when every thought was consumed by the feel of his body pressed so close to hers.

He cupped her breasts gently, his thumbs brushing over the sensitive skin, and she gasped, her body arching into his touch as her head tilted back against the wall, her neck exposed to him. Cassian took full advantage, trailing his lips down her throat, nipping at the sensitive skin near her collarbone, before finding his way back to her mouth.

With every kiss, every touch, the walls she'd built around herself began to crumble even faster. She could feel the power in him, the way his very presence seemed to dominate her world, making her forget everything but him. But she didn't resist. She didn't want to.

Cassian's hand slid downward, fingers brushing the edge of her, and his body shifted slightly, pressing his erection into her with a force that made her breath catch. The heat between them was overwhelming, and the tension was unbearable. She could feel him, hard and insistent against her, a pulse of need that mirrored her own.

He paused for a moment, his forehead resting against hers, his breath ragged. "Are you sure, Sera?" he asked, his voice rough with desire, his hands still resting against her skin, though they didn't move for a beat.

The question echoed in her mind—am I sure? It didn't matter. She didn't have to be sure. She only knew one thing: she didn't want this moment to stop. "Yes," she whispered, her voice barely audible, but the conviction in it was clear.

Cassian didn't wait for another word. With a primal growl, he pulled her flush against him, his hands slipping lower, working her pants off with the same urgency as before. Her body trembled, but each touch, each kiss, made her feel like she was being swept away in a tide she couldn't fight. He loosened his pants freeing himself for the moment that was approaching.

The wall behind her was a cold contrast to the heat of their bodies, but it didn't matter anymore. There was only him. Only this moment. And as he finally freed her from the last barrier between them, he kissed her again—deep, fierce, a promise made with every movement.

Cassian's hands grasped her thighs, lifting her effortlessly against him as he slid into her slowly, her legs instinctively wrapping around his waist. The closeness was suffocating and perfect, the friction of their bodies against each other driving them both to the edge. He held her against the wall as though she was the center of his world, and in that moment, she believed him.

Her hands tangled in his hair, pulling him closer, if that was even possible, as she met each movement with a fervor that matched his own. The air between them was thick with their shared desire, their hearts racing in unison as every kiss, every touch, every whisper drove them closer to the breaking point.

His movements were soft and filled with passion. As he felt how her body responded to him. How good she felt wrapped around him. And even more how good it felt to be in her. Everything about her drove his senses crazy. Causing him to move faster and with more intent, his breathing increasing as he whispered her name. The desire in him building to breaking point as he heard how she was moaning his name and pulling him closer into her.

With a final, desperate surge, they both tumbled over the edge together—lost in the fire they had kindled between them.

Breathless, they stood there for a moment, their bodies still tangled, the weight of their connection settling around them like a heavy silence. Cassian's forehead rested against hers, his hands still holding her close as if he were afraid she might vanish.

"I told you I wasn't going to let you go," he murmured, his voice barely a whisper in the quiet of the room.

Sera's fingers traced the lines of his jaw, her mind spinning, but the words came easily. "And I didn't want you to."
