From Slave to King: My Rebate System Built Me a Kingdom With Beauties!

Chapter 59: Bloodfest!

Drekk was shown around by Byung, but it was a goblin's nature to be deceptive, so Drekk wasn't particularly worried about his trickery as long as it wasn't malicious in nature.

Byung explained in detail what these were, including what they were capable of making.

Drekk had the same question as anyone who came into contact with this.

"How did you make these things?" Drekk questioned, but Byung knew he couldn't tell him he reincarnated into this world with a freaking system.

"I just knew… There are a lot of things I know," Byung said, and Drekk didn't push further.

He wasn't the smartest—if anything, he was dumb even by goblin standards—but his instincts were what set him apart.

He knew he wouldn't understand if Byung explained the mechanics of it, but it was clear this thing could help make weapons.

"The human… Did he see it?" Drekk questioned, and Byung froze for a second, not sure what to say at that moment.

"They did, sir," Gribnox intercepted, knowing he couldn't leave Byung to handle the conversation because he was the Baron of this mine, after all.

But before Drekk could respond to this information, Byung quickly added,

"It is a good thing. The humans will think we traded with one of the other races for a blueprint to build these forges. This will make them up their offer in the future," Byung added.

This was something Drekk didn't think about. He couldn't see the bigger picture and always saw the immediate reward first and foremost.

"This is true," Drekk responded, and it clicked—this goblin might be the first genius their race had ever produced.

"Byung, was it?" Drekk acknowledged him by name, and Byung nodded to confirm it.

"Yes, sir," Byung showed him the respect that came with his title.

"Can you make me a weapon?" Drekk asked.

"Can a bird fly?" Byung responded without thinking, and by the time he realized what he had said, it was too late.

Gribnox didn't know if Byung had a death wish, but there was something everyone present knew at that moment—Byung was the most important goblin at that moment and needed to be protected at all costs.

Even someone as dense as Drekk knew this much, but it didn't mean he was untouchable.

Trogzit took offense to this and was about to strike Byung to teach him some discipline.

Drekk didn't stop him; it was needed for the younger goblins to learn to respect their elders.

But Byung wasn't going to let that slide—he grabbed Trogzit by the wrist involuntarily.

It was a reflex action, but this showed something else was awakening in Byung.

"Oh?" Drekk thought to himself. The reflex he displayed was not that of an everyday goblin.

"Let go!" Trogzit barked before smacking him across the face with his other hand.

[Ding!]

[Requirement met!]

[Congratulations! You have successfully activated combat!]

[Combat Points: 50!]

[Bonus Combat Points: +30!]

[Total Combat Points: 80!]

The system informed Byung, and he had no idea what this was—did this mean he couldn't fight before?

"Huh?" Byung thought to himself with a raised brow.

[The combat skill granted the user an appropriate level of stats parallel to the combat points acquired!]

The system responded to his confusion, which told Byung he didn't need to speak out loud for the system to respond to him—which made things easier.

"Combat points?" Byung questioned with a raised brow, but by the sound of things, it felt like he wouldn't need to use individual stat points either.

It would be summed up with combat points, which would summarize his stats—or at least this was what Byung understood by it.

"The bonus must be gotten by my skill…" Byung thought to himself, forgetting his current predicament as Trogzit was busy struggling to get himself free from his hold.

"Oh! I am sorry!" Byung muttered before quickly letting go of his hand.

Drekk looked at his wrist and noticed Byung had bruised it, but he didn't let go despite Trogzit's blow.

It was like he didn't feel it, but Trogzit had managed to draw blood because he didn't hit Byung once but twice. The second punch—

Byung did feel the blow, but Trogzit's physical strength was nothing compared to Drekk's, and Byung had been on the receiving end of Drekk's aggression twice.

Fortunately for him, the pain hit him after he came to his senses as he wiped off the blood from his busted lips.

Byung quickly looked at Trogzit's fist and noticed his blood had spilled on him.

"Oh…" Byung muttered under his breath, and if he could somehow get this aggressive fucker under his control, then there might be no need for Gribnox or Murkfang, as he would have someone who ranked even higher.

[Ding!]

[Requirements not met!]

[Sire attempt unsuccessful!]

The system informed Byung, and he was confused as to why it failed—this was a goblin standing right in front of him, was it not?

"The fuck do you mean failed?" Byung questioned the system embedded in his head.

[The goblin does not possess the same genetic makeup as the host!]

The system informed him, but this made no sense—this was a goblin, was it not?

"Oh wait… He has to be a hybrid like me," Byung finally hit the nail on the head.

[That is correct!]

The system informed him, and this just made everything more complicated because it meant there would be goblins sired to him, but this would also mean there would be a faction that directly opposed him should he reach the status he aimed for.

It was impossible to unite all goblins—or was it? He had to find a way to become the King.

If he could attain that status, the goblins would have no choice but to bend the knee.

"Say, how about we do something to reward the goblins for their hard work?" Drekk said, and everyone was left puzzled.

"Huh?" Byung thought to himself because there was nothing of worth with Drekk right now. He didn't even have his trademark rusty weapon.

"Reward? That would be wonderful!" Gribnox exclaimed because the only thing on his mind was females.

He thought this was what Drekk meant, as he was the one who supplied them females—and it had been months due to their overall bad performance.

There was no need to reward bad productivity with females, after all, but Byung could see that sinister smile creep up on his face.

"A duel, a bloodfest for the goblins to enjoy and be reminded there is more to their lives than sex," Drekk suggested.

Gribnox's goofy smile slowly faded from his face as he looked over his shoulder at Drekk.

"B-Bloodfest?" Gribnox muttered under his breath, the fear prominent.

"That is correct! And I have given you the honor to represent your people…" Drekk said, and Byung already knew this would be a disaster.

"The fuck!?" Byung thought to himself, as there was no way Gribnox was in any fighting condition.

He was overweight and only cared about sex—so was Drekk using him to send a message?

"W-Who would I be facing?" Gribnox asked, quivering because everyone expected Drekk to say himself.

"Trogzit over here," Drekk informed him, and Gribnox knew Trogzit was stronger than him, or he wouldn't be Drekk's right hand.

Byung wanted to step in, but something told him he would be playing right into Drekk's hand.

He had to trust Gribnox could handle himself to an extent; otherwise, he wouldn't have climbed to this position.

Sex couldn't be the only thing he was good at—it made no sense, and Byung knew this was an opportunity to gauge his combat strength.

But he couldn't shake the feeling Drekk had something planned because his eyes remained glued on him, like he was waiting for him to make a move.

"Gribnox, good luck!" Byung muttered under his breath, but the thing was, Byung had no idea what a bloodfest was—but he was about to find out the hard way.

--

Murkfang was being taken away, but they weren't feeding him—or at least not giving him nearly enough food for him to regain his strength.

And the deplorable state he was in previously made his situation worse, even though the humans were doing the barest minimum to keep him alive.

They took a break, and the humans looked at him—they knew this would be a great step for them to get closer to how the goblins thought.

And more importantly, who the fuck was responsible for those forges—or which race granted them the knowledge to create these things?

Oswin wasn't aware they had carried Murkfang, but something told him they might have made a mistake.

There was no way this could end well if it was discovered, because Drekk could easily turn this on them—and that would make them look bad to the others.

It wouldn't just affect their dealings with the goblins but the other races as well, because they would be the ones responsible for disrupting the balance everyone currently enjoyed.
