From Moon Base To Intergalactic Empire!

Chapter • 1: The Intergalactic Empire System

Adam Atreides woke up to freezing coldness.

When he opened his eyes, he found a veritable ocean of stars that laid before him. It was his first time seeing such an amazingly grand starry sky. There were bright and dim stars, a colorful nebula, and an asteroid field that seemed surprisingly close by.

" Well, this isn't my room."

Asteroids, which looked like a bunch of scattered floating rocky debris, were practically right before his very eyes. His room in New York doesn't have this kind of view. There's no place on Earth where you can actually see these things from this up close. It's quite common to see this type of scenery in games and movies though. But it's absolutely impossible to see them from a distance which made them visible to the naked eye for real.

Upon turning his head, Adam knew he wasn't in Kansas anymore.

Because right before him is he never thought he'll see in real life. Because, after all, it's not real. But, here it is.

Adam's eyes meet with a pair of hollow green ones. At the right side of him stood a tall, broad, imposing metal black skeletal figure, with a long polearm in its hands, the blade glowing green in the darkness surrounding it. Its head was a metal skull, its eyes two green glowing dots in its hollow sockets. Both its body and skull were decorated and ornate with all kinds of strange green symbols that made his eyes hurt whenever he looked at it.

Adam was shocked and only had one thought,' I know I play 40k a lot, but that doesn't mean I want to dream about it!' He really doesn't. Nonetheless, if he must, then could it at least once by a wet dream about Slaanesh?

" Greetings Test Subject-Zero." The Necron Warrior greeted with a series of clicks and static. The voice was both emotionless and genderless.

The very sound of the Necron Warrior's voice made Adam's skin crawl and his head dizzy. His mind was already searching for places to run and never look back.

However, upon actually looking around, he was shocked for a second time. The chills he has only became colder and colder.

Adam was pretty sure that when he went to bed after playing 40k, he wasn't standing upright. And that he had an actual bed to sleep in for that matter.

So why in the bloody hell is he in a floating upright coffin that looks like it came right out of a sci-fi movie?!

Suddenly as his mind was freaking out, he heard a loud hissing sound. The next thing that came was losing control of his body.

Adam lost his balance due to the confusing scenario, and he fell out of the coffin with incredible speed. As he did so, he instinctively closed his eyes, raising his hands in front of him quickly after to brace himself and protect himself from the fall. However, as soon as he hit the ground, he noticed something was off.

Well for one; he only fell for like three feet and he didn't even make it to the ground. And another, the Necron Warrior is still there.

He was sure he would wake up after 'falling'. He never had lucid dreams like this. The farthest he got was bits and pieces of a good dream or ten seconds of pure horror in a nightmare.

So he came to one conclusion, he isn't dreaming or in a nightmare.

' If not that... That leaves only one explanation; I have been Transmigrated.'

If the beautiful Outer Space view and the fictional character weren't a dead giveaway, then this was. Especially for a Fanfic and Isekai enjoyer like him. He knows the drill.

And if he is right, then Adam can only thank the Gods. Because he's now off that boring floating piece of dirt.

He's now away from all of Earth's many worries and responsibilities. He's free.

[ Tti-ring! Welcome to The Intergalactic Empire System! ]

With a faint bell-like sound, a floating blue holographic screen appeared before Adam.

Adam's lips twitched upward upon seeing and hearing that mechanical female voice inside his head.

It seems his guess was right!

" Due to uncalculated conditions, you are the only one that lived through the procedure by our dying Overlord. So that falls upon me to appoint you our new Overlord and Moon Base Director. Please lead us well and fair, your Royal Highness.

"

Adam blinked. He blinked again.

" What?"

The Necron Warrior titled its head," There is no problem with your brain or ear functions, you should be able to hear me."

The Necron Warrior made a humming sound and stepped closer to a sweating Adam.

" Is what I'm saying too hard for you to comprehend? I thought Humans were more Intelligent than this."

The Necron Warrior then pointed to a whiteboard by them.

" Shall I draw it out so you can understand me?"

Adam's eyebrows and lips twitched. Now this tin can is just insulting him. It reminds him of when he had to teach his younger sister about algebra. That was hell. Then again, at least it wasn't calculus. That is true hell.

Oh right, the fictional character insulting him.

" I..." With trembling legs, he grabbed onto a bar at the sides of the coffin thingy for support. Only when he was standing, well more like wobbling, he stared Into the Necron Warrior's soulless green eyes," I understand you. I understand you fully."

The Necron Warrior's eyes gleamed," If you did, why did your Royal Highness inquire; What?"

Adam's knuckles turned white, using his all to stand up and cleared his throat," I was shocked. That was all."

" I see. That is a valid reason. Going from a commoner to a Phaeron can be what the humans call; a shocking experience."

' Well more like waking up in another universe, but I'll let you have it.' Adam's lips twitched again.

The Necron Warrior suddenly looked down at Adam's shaking legs and back up. It's question load and clear.

" A little help here." Adam's vision was starting to spin. And that's a never good thing.

" Oh. You should rest. We will talk more upon your Royal Highness waking up."

That was the last thing Adam heard when his vision stopped spinning and totally blackout.

His last thought was a rather odd one...

' This place better have regular food here.'

He wasn't worried about dying or the Necron Warrior doing something to him.

No. He was more worried about what he was gonna eat.

... What a truly odd Human.
