From Goblin Slave To Giga-Daddy: A Goblin’s Guide to Getting a Harem

Chapter 138: Cooking up another plan!

Melissa's jaw almost hit the floor.

She watched in disbelief as Rae walked forward, casual as hell, not even crouching, not even pretending to sneak. Just… walking.

Straight into the line of sight of five goblins.

Her heart nearly jumped out of her chest when their yellow eyes turned to him.

Every muscle in her body screamed to run, to grab him, to do something before they skewered him with their rusty spears.

But then… nothing happened.

The goblins glanced at him, tilted their ugly heads for a second, then just went back to their lazy patrol like he wasn't even there.

Melissa's lips parted, her breath trembling out.

'What… the actual hell. How. How did he—what?!'

She stayed crouched, frozen, clutching her cloak so tight she thought it would tear. Her mind scrambled for a reason.

Goblins didn't just ignore intruders. They were like wild dogs, snapping at anything that moved. But Rae… Rae just walked through them like he belonged here.

She felt her heart lurch again when he didn't even glance back at her. Not a single look. No signal. No whisper. He just kept going, like she didn't exist, like he had already forgotten her.

And then, right in front of him, another stone door opened with a groan, like the boulder itself was welcoming him inside.

Melissa's breath hitched.

'No… no way. The goblins think… they think he's one of them. A new worker. Sent by the new king. That's why they let him through.'

Her eyes softened in a strange mix of awe and frustration, her chest tightening all over again.

'And he doesn't even know it. He doesn't even know what he's doing. Just like before. And I… I left him back then. I left him thinking it was an accident, but no. I ran.'

'And now he doesn't even look at me. God, I don't deserve to follow him.'

Melissa bit her lip hard, tears stinging at the corner of her eyes as Rae disappeared behind the door without hesitation, swallowed by the shadows.

She didn't waste any more time. She threw the cloak over herself, the fabric sliding against her skin, cool and strange, and then—poof—she was gone.

Invisible. Like a ghost sneaking on tiptoes, except she was sweating like hell underneath.

Her bare thighs rubbed against each other as she crouched low, moving slow toward the bridge.

When she finally reached it, she froze for a second, her eyes darting from the goblins to the planks below her feet.

The damn thing looked like it would creak just from a fart.

She timed it. Waited. When the goblins spread out just far enough, she slid forward, step by careful step, her whole body tense.

'Damn, this is harder than I thought. Wait for me Rae kun, here I come. Don't you dare forget me.'

The cloak clung to her curves, and she was hyper-aware of every little sway of her hips.

One wrong move and the whole bridge might shake like a cheap motel bed.

She had to keep it slow, controlled, like a strip tease no one was supposed to see.

"Stupid liege keeps sending us more stupid goblins."

One of the guards spat to the side.

Melissa's heart skipped.

"I feel like something is going to happen soon."

Another goblin grumbled, scratching his belly.

And then—

"Guys, did we even know if that goblin that just passed was really sent by the liege? What if he's one of the hero's slaves."

Melissa stopped dead in her tracks, her stomach twisting.

'Rae. They're talking about Rae. Oh shit. If they find out… if they touch him…'

Her fists clenched under the cloak. For a second she forgot she was even supposed to be sneaking.

All she could think about was Rae walking straight ahead, not knowing the danger hanging over his stupid, clueless head.

"Nah, have you seen the way he walked? He was wearing loin clothes. The slaves of those heroes now wear fancy clothing. They have completely abandoned their ways. Tsk tsk."

The second goblin snorted and scratched his ass before resuming his lazy patrol.

Only then Melissa finally let out a shaky breath she had been holding. Her chest rose and fell, and she pressed her palm flat against it like that would calm her heart.

'Oh thank god. For a second I thought they were going to jump on Rae and tear his pants off. Looks like everything is okay. He's safe. For now.'

She didn't waste any more time. The cloak swished as she moved, her thighs brushing together as she crept toward the door at the far end.

Her bare feet made the faintest slap against the wood, but the goblins didn't notice. When she got close enough, she crouched down and picked up a rock.

The thing was small, but her grip tightened around it like it was a weapon.

'Time to be a little sneaky bitch. Watch and learn, Rae.'

She hurled it with all her strength. The stone zipped through the air and clattered against the far side of the bridge, the noise echoing.

"Who the hell!"

Just as she hoped, the goblins flinched, cussed, and began to stomp their ugly feet toward the noise.

'He he he. Still stupid. Goblins never change.'

Melissa's lips curled into a grin, invisible or not. She moved fast, hips swaying under the cloak as she slipped right up to the massive door.

Her fingers brushed the cold surface, and then with a low rumble, the thing cracked open. Just like before, the sound wasn't loud enough to alert anyone.

She slid through, her body tense, her breathing hot, and the doors closed behind her with a heavy thud.

It was another huge room she stepped into, the kind that made her eyes widen for a second before instinct kicked in and she darted behind a boulder like a scared rabbit.

'Silly me, what the hell am I doing hiding like a rookie? I've got the damn cloak on. No one can see me anyway.'

Still, she stayed crouched there for a moment, lips curling into a small smile. Maybe it was just muscle memory. Maybe it was just the thrill of feeling sneaky.

Either way, it felt good to steal a breath before diving into the madness again.

Melissa peeked over the rock, eyes narrowing, and what she saw made her lips part slightly.

The hall was massive, filled wall to wall with goblins. Dozens of them.

Maybe fifty, maybe more, all of them no taller than Rae's height, their little green bodies glistening with sweat as they heaved chunks of black-and-violet ore from carts and fed it into a roaring crusher.

The machine chewed through the rock like a hungry beast, spitting out powder that puffed into the air in faint, glittery clouds. The sound was deafening, like a giant was grinding its teeth.

The goblins worked in lines, grunting, cursing, some with their loincloths sagging so low she got more view of goblin ass than she ever wanted in her lifetime.

A few of them tugged the heavy three-wheeled carts into the room from some other passage at the far end, their spindly arms trembling under the load.

'What the hell are they even doing with this stuff. Looks like some goblin cocaine factory.'

Her eyes swept over the scene again, this time with intent.

'Where is he. That brat better not have gone and gotten himself flattened or turned into green chow. Rae, where the hell are you.'

She licked her lips, scanning the sea of goblin heads for that one familiar fool who had walked straight in like he owned the place.

'No wonder those dumb guards let him slip in without a single word.'

Melissa's eyes narrowed as she scanned the hall. Every single goblin down there wore the same sweaty little loincloth, every single one looked eerily alike.

All green skin, crooked teeth, wiry muscles, and asses jiggling while they hauled rocks. Rae-sized goblins everywhere. A whole army of pint-sized lookalikes.

She squinted harder, her gaze darting across their faces, their crooked noses, their hunched shoulders. But none of them were him.

'What the hell. Where did that idiot vanish to.'

Her thighs shifted uncomfortably as she crouched, a chill brushing over her in the worst spot.

The tear in her pants still left her kitty peeking out into the cold air, and it made her grit her teeth.

'That stupid guy. Running off like that and leaving me here half-exposed.'

Her cheeks burned hotter, part fury, part something else she didn't want to think about. She bit her lip, trying not to growl.

All of a sudden she heard a voice.

Sniff. Sniff.

Her head whipped to the side, eyes widening. There it was again. Sniffling, soft and pitiful, right next to her.

And then she saw him.

Crouched behind another boulder, face buried in his hands, shoulders trembling like a child about to bawl his eyes out. Rae. The brat himself, hiding like a cornered puppy.

Melissa blinked, jaw slack.

'Are you kidding me. He's been here all along. Crying, of all things.'

But what she didn't know, what she couldn't even begin to guess, was that Rae wasn't broken down or scared.

No, behind those trembling hands and wet sniffles, he was already cooking up something nasty.

Something meant just for her. Something that would make her curse his name and scream it at the same time.
