From Earth to Infinity: A Second Chance

Chapter 39: Haku vs Naruto, Zabuza vs Kakshi

As we faced each other, the tension thick in the air, I took a step forward and declared, "I'll defeat you, Haku, and then I'll bring you back with me. I'll make you forget about your current path and show you a different future."

She looked at me with a mixture of sadness and determination. "But for that, you need to have the strength, Naruto," she replied, her voice resolute. "Show me if you're really capable of changing my world."

With those words, I knew the challenge ahead wasn't just about physical strength; it was about breaking through the walls that had kept her loyal to Zabuza. This fight wasn't just for victory—it was for her heart and her future. I readied myself, my resolve stronger than ever.

I gripped my katana tightly, channeling lightning chakra through the blade as it crackled with energy. In an instant, I activated the Body Flicker Technique to close the distance between us, but Haku anticipated my move. She quickly used a substitution jutsu, disappearing and reappearing far away.

Without wasting a moment, she began forming hand signs for the Demonic Ice Mirrors technique. In a flash, dozens of icy mirrors materialized around me, encircling me completely. Her reflection appeared on every surface, disorienting me as she blended seamlessly between them.

Suddenly, she emerged from the mirrors at a blinding speed, launching attacks from multiple directions. Yet, I could track her movements, my reflexes sharp and my eyes focused. I deflected her strikes with my lightning-infused katana, the crackling energy helping to repel her rapid assaults. Blow after blow, I kept up with her relentless speed, determined not to be overwhelmed by the sheer intensity of her technique.

I had been analyzing Haku's strength and the mechanics of her Demonic Ice Mirrors technique, noting that if I destroyed just one, it would quickly regenerate. So, I aimed to eliminate all the mirrors simultaneously with a powerful strike using my lightning-infused katana. I unleashed the attack, and as I had hoped, the mirrors shattered completely, dispelling the jutsu.

Haku lay on the ground, battered and bleeding from the impact. I approached her and said confidently, "I won, Haku. Now, you need to come with me—come to my home."

She looked up at me, her eyes filled with a mixture of acceptance and relief. "Okay, Naruto. But promise me one thing—you or Kakashi must not kill Zabuza."

"I promise," I replied without hesitation. "Now, let me heal you." I immediately began using my healing technique to mend her wounds, focusing on stabilizing her condition.

As I finished tending to Haku, I could sense the intensity of Kakashi and Zabuza's battle reaching its peak. Their fight was nearing its end, and I hoped my promise wouldn't be in vain.

Just moments earlier, Zabuza and Kakashi faced off, the air thick with tension. Zabuza quickly executed the Hidden Mist Technique, shrouding the battlefield in a dense fog that rendered Kakashi's vision nearly useless. With his sight obstructed, Kakashi found himself at a disadvantage as Zabuza used the mist to his advantage, striking from different angles like a predator stalking its prey. Each attack left Kakashi with new injuries, the cuts and bruises accumulating with every swift blow.

"Kakashi, your Sharingan won't save you this time," Zabuza taunted, his voice echoing through the mist.

Realizing that the current situation was unsustainable and that he was losing ground, Kakashi made a swift decision. He formed the necessary hand signs and prepared for a summoning. He needed a way to turn the tide of the battle, and his next move would decide whether he could gain the upper hand against the relentless Zabuza.

"Summoning Jutsu: Ninken!" Kakashi exclaimed, and in an instant, a pack of ninja dogs appeared. The dense mist obscured Zabuza's vision, and he hadn't seen the summoning take place. Suddenly, one of the dogs clamped its jaws around Zabuza's leg, catching him completely off guard. He struggled, unable to comprehend how Kakashi had pinpointed his location so precisely.

"It's simple," Kakashi said calmly, his voice cutting through the mist. "Your blade has my blood on it, and I managed to get a piece of your clothing. My ninken can track your scent, even in this mist."

Realizing his situation, Zabuza knew the mist was only draining his chakra further without any strategic advantage. Reluctantly, he dispelled the Hidden Mist Technique, revealing the battlefield once more. The fog lifted, and the moment it did, Kakashi was already charging towards him, a fierce lightning chakra radiating from his hand.

"Chidori!" Kakashi yelled, as he closed the distance with incredible speed, his electrified hand aimed directly at Zabuza.

While tending to Haku's injuries, I kept a close eye on the intense battle between Zabuza and Kakashi. Just as Kakashi thrust his Chidori forward, aiming to pierce Zabuza's heart, I acted swiftly. Using the Body Flicker Technique, I appeared between them in an instant, catching Kakashi's hand mid-strike.

"Kakashi, I promised Haku that I wouldn't let Zabuza die," I said, my voice firm. "Please, let him live."

Kakashi hesitated for a moment, then withdrew his hand, the lightning chakra dissipating. Zabuza, still processing what had just happened, struggled to comprehend why I had intervened.

"But what should we do with him?" Kakashi asked, his tone a mix of curiosity and fatigue.

"I have some unfinished business with him," I replied, glancing back at Zabuza. "Go get some rest, Kakashi. You've done enough."

Kakashi nodded, retreating to a safer distance, while I turned my full attention to Zabuza, who looked at me with a mix of confusion and defiance.
