Fractured Wings

Chapter 58: Chapter 58

The air was a sickly colour of of green, swirling with unnatural clouds that seemed to pulse with energy. The ground beneath his feet felt unstable, as though it might collapse at any moment.

All Might clenched his fists, his massive frame trembling with barely contained rage. His iconic smile was long gone now, replaced with fury and pain. His body ached from injuries, he clutched his right side.

The memory of the plane flying down into UA, he couldn't completely protect everyone. He, the number 1 hero. He wasn't able to protect children, it all played in his mind and depending on what was to come next, he doesn't think he will ever wake from such a nightmare.

And Midoriya... young Midoriya. The boy had been caught in the crossfire, trying to protect his classmates. All Might had seen him fall, bloodied and broken, he couldn't even completely make sure he was alright, he was instantly teleported to a world that Proxy had just created.

The thought of his successor, his son in all but blood, lying there helpless, filled him with a rage he hadn't felt in years.

A voice echoed from everywhere and nowhere.

"All Might. I was wondering how long it would take you to come charging in like some kind of... what's the word? Oh, right A hero."

All Might's eyes narrowed as he scanned the horizon. "You're a coward, Daigo." All Might growled, his voice was low and dangerous. "Hiding in this fake world, manipulating people, hurting children... You're more than simple villainous scum. You're a monster that I will personally put down!"

All Might had only fought to kill once in his life, and even then he wasn't able to fulfill his task. So Proxy... no Daigo Kiyoshi will be his first. Something that he really hoped he would never have to do, but due to the craziness of this reoccurring nightmare it was something he couldn't hold back on anymore.

The laughter that followed was cold and hollow, sending a chill down even All Might's spine. "I never thought I'd hear that from the number 1. But All Might, this isn't all about villain or hero. It's more about who wins. And in my world I intend to be the winner."

The ground beneath All Might's feet suddenly gave way, and he plummeted into a dark abyss. The fall felt endless, the void was swallowing him whole. But All Might wasn't afraid. He twisted his body mid-air, landing in a crouch on a platform that materialized out of nowhere. The platform was small, barely big enough to hold him, and it floated in a void of endless darkness.

Before he could react, a sword slash materialized out of thin air, aimed directly at his chest. All Might barely managed to dodge, the blade grazing his side and drawing blood. He hissed in pain, his hand instinctively going to the wound.

"What's the matter All Might?" Daigo's voice taunted. "Not so invincible now, are you?"

All Might's eyes darted around, searching for the source of the attack. But there was nothing—just the void and the platform. Then, another slash came from behind, and another from above. All Might moved with the speed and precision even greater than a fighter jet, dodging and weaving through the onslaught. But the attacks were relentless, each one appearing out of nowhere, each one aimed to kill.

"You won't win All Might," Daigo sneered. "In my world, I control everything. The rules, the terrain, the very laws of physics. I will win."

All Might gritted his teeth, his body screaming in protest as he pushed himself to the limit. He couldn't keep this up forever. He was already injured, his stamina draining faster than he'd like to admit. But he couldn't stop. Not now. There was too much at stake.

All Might's eyes caught a flicker of movement in the distance—glowing faintly in the darkness. He doesn't know what it is but he pays close attention as he feels it is off.

And then suddenly. Proxy appears from the glow with a sword pointed right for All Might's heart area, All Might dodged and swiped back but Proxy seemingly was back in his position to sprout out again in the same vain.

All Might was quite an older man and didn't entertain himself with games that often, but he knows enough to see what was happening here.

The sword strikes and Proxy's quick movement's that seemed like teleportation.

It was like he was appearing from a save point, the slashes too. They just came from these unnatural and awry glows that were near him. Since he was in the light before it was a lot harder to see, but in the shade and dark area that Proxy had dragged the fight to it was easier.

'Well if that's it...' All Might thought that all he needed to do was get to them and destroy them before Proxy could attack, he didn't know how well it would work, but he had to try.

With a burst of speed, All Might launched himself toward a save point. But before he could reach it, Proxy erupted in front of him, with his sword midair and thrusting in quick succession toward his head.

All Might had to skid to a stop before spinning out of the way.

"Nice try," Daigo's voice mocked. "But you're not the only one who can think on their head, number 1."

All Might didn't respond. Instead, he focused his energy, his muscles bulging as he prepared to unleash a devastating punch. The air around him crackled with power as he swung his fist, the force of the blow shattering wall in front of him and sending shockwaves through the area.

But with that... there was a series of explosions. All Might leapt into the air. As he landed, a barrage of kunai came at him from all directions. He dodged and weaved, his body moving on instinct as he tried to close the distance between himself and Proxy.

But every time All Might got close, the villain would teleport away to a new location, leaving behind an attack or some kind of trap.

He was able to leave attacks in these save points which made everything regarding him even more difficult.

His arm was cocked back and he threw it to the ground shaking the earth beneath them and uprooting roots and nearby buildings. He then blitzed across the field using the uprooted debris as footholds as he jumped from each of them.

Proxy was midair but he would be touching the ground again within moments so he had to reach him before he could set a trap again.

All Might's fists were clenched, he was ready to deal what he thought may be the last blow, strong enough to snap the mans neck and if aimed lower would crush his rubs and pierce his heart.

He loathed doing this and being so calculated in plain murder. It was sickening, it split him apart endlessly.

But then it happened...

Proxy appeared in front of him, his hand glowing with energy. Before All Might could react, the villain slammed his palm into All Might's chest, unleashing a devastating blast that sent the hero flying.

The pain was unlike anything All Might had ever felt. It was as though his very soul was being torn apart. He crashed into the ground, his body skidding across the ground before coming to a stop at the edge of a pit.

All Might couldn't believe it, he couldn't even understand what had just happened and for where the strength had come from.

"It was another save point..."

His brain stuttered, he wondered if he spoke out loud. His mind was hazy. He feels so much weaker than he should be.

"I was able to catch a few of your attacks as well as some of mine in a save point and I thought that I could add them all into one powerful attacks. And it actually worked. Who would have thought?"

Proxy let out a simple laugh as his hand glowed again, he flicked it around and a long and shiny silver sword appeared.

He aimed it toward All Might.

There was little he could do, even with his senses coming back, he just felt a hit that was basically from himself square in his chest. He raised his leg, ready to slam it down with intensity, but he couldn't, the next thing he felt was cold metal digging into the right side of his chest.

The edges weren't as smooth as he thought, it was like a razor edged blade and Proxy... Daigo just get digging it in slowly while twisting it in circular motion.

Daigo stood over him, his expression unreadable, his eyes were cold and held a detached malice. He twisted the blade slowly, the motion deliberate and calculated, as though he were carving into stone rather than flesh. All Might's jaw clenched, his teeth grinding together as he fought to suppress a scream. But the pain was overwhelming, a white-hot agony consumed every thought, every sensation.

It felt like he was being put under surgery, wide awake and fully conscious, forced to endure every cut, every twist, every excruciating second. All Might's vision blurred again, tears of pain and frustration welling in his eyes. His body trembled, his muscles straining against the unbearable torment. He could feel the blade grinding against bone, the sensation sending shockwaves of pain through his entire body.

Daigo leaned in closer, his voice a low, mocking whisper. "This is what it feels like to lose, All Might. You couldn't stop my Hosu Game, you never were able to find Lyra again, you barely even stopped that plane. And now here you are, at my behest. Every step of the way, I was able to beat the number 1. The epitome of heroes."

Daigo looked him squarely in the face and there was a big wide grin on his face. "What even is the point of heroes when their big representative is so pathetic, powerless?"

All Might's hand shot up, grasping Daigo's wrist with what little strength he had left. His grip was weak, his fingers trembling, but the defiance in his eyes was unyielding. "I'm not... not... done," he growled, his voice strained but resolute.

Daigo smirked, his free hand reaching up to grip All Might's wrist. With a sharp twist, he forced All Might's hand away, the sound of bones cracking echoing through the air. All Might's arm fell limp at his side, his body convulsing as another wave of pain washed over him.

The blade twisted again, deeper this time, and All Might couldn't hold back the scream that tore from his throat. It was a raw, primal sound, filled with pain, anger and defiance. The ground beneath him shook, the air around him crackling with energy surged uncontrollably. But it wasn't enough. The pain was too much, the damage too severe.

Daigo leaned back, pulling his blade free with a sickening squelch. All Might's body jerked, a fresh wave of agony coursing through him as the jagged edges tore through his flesh once more. Blood pooled beneath him, staining the ground a dark, ominous red. His breathing was ragged, each breath a struggle, each exhale a shuddering gasp.

Daigo stood over him, the blade dripping with blood, his expression one of cold satisfaction. "You're finished, All Might. The Symbol of Peace... reduced to this."

All Might's vision darkened, the edges closing in as unconsciousness threatened to take him in.

Endeavour soared through the sickly green sky, his flames trailing behind him like a comet. His mind was a storm of rage and frustration, his teeth clenched so tightly his jaw ached. The memory of the plane he watched on the tv screen diving down to topple UA high.

The school he had went to, the one where he had graduated from to become the hero he is now, the school his son is attending.

He'd been flying toward the school, his thoughts consumed by Shoto—his son, his legacy, his failure. He'd been close enough to reaching them, and then... nothing. The world shifted, and he'd found himself here, in this hellish imitation of reality.

"Damn it all." Endeavour muttered under his breath, his voice a low growl. His flames flared brighter, the heat intensifying as his anger boiled over. He didn't have time for this. He didn't have time for games. His family was out there, members of his agency, and he was trapped in this... mockery of a world.

His thoughts were cut short by a sound—a raw and guttural scream that echoed across the desolate landscape. It was a sound of pain, of defiance and of desperation. Endeavour froze mid-air, his flames flickering as he turned his head toward the source. He knew that voice. He'd know it anywhere.

"All Might," he muttered, his voice tingled with disbelief. The Symbol of Peace, screaming like that? It was unthinkable. And yet, there was no mistaking it. All Might was here, and he was in trouble.

Endeavour's mind raced, his thoughts sharp and calculating. If All Might was struggling, then the enemy—this Proxy—was far more dangerous than he'd anticipated. He couldn't afford to waste time. Every second counted.

Endeavour's flames roared to life, the heat around him intensifying as he prepared to move. He didn't have the luxury of hesitation. He needed to reach All Might, and he needed to do it fast.

He'd done the math in his head, calculating the distance, the time, the energy required. It was risky—pushing his quirk to it's limits always was—but he didn't have a choice. All Might didn't have time for him to play it safe.

Endeavour's body tensed, his muscles coiling like springs as he prepared to launch himself forward. His flames condensed around him, forming a blazing aura that crackled with raw power. He took a deep breath, his eyes narrowing as he focused on the horizon.

"Lets go!" he growled.

With a deafening roar, Endeavour shot forward, his flames propelling him through the air at unimaginable speed. The world around him blurred, the ground below becoming a smear of colours and shapes. The air itself seemed to scream in protest as he tore through it, the heat of his flames leaving a trail of scorched earth in his wake.

The number 2 hero's eye's locked onto the scene below as he approached. All Might was on the ground, bloodied and broken, while Daigo stood over him, a blade dripping with crimson. The sight sent a surge of fury through Endeavour, his flames flaring brighter as he descended.

Daigo looked up just as Endeavour reached him, his eyes widening in surprise. But it was too late. Endeavour's hand shot out, flames erupting from his palm as he aimed a devastating blast at the villain. Daigo barely managed to dodge, the flames grazing his side as he teleported away, leaving behind a feint shimmer in the air.

Endeavour didn't waste time chasing him. Instead, he dropped to the ground beside All Might, his flames dissipating as he knelt beside the number 1. The position he had been fighting to reach for so long. His eyes scanned All Might's body, taking in the extent of the damage. It was bad—worse than he'd expected. The wound in All Might's chest was deep, the blood pooling beneath him staining the ground a dark, ominous red.

"All Might," Endeavour said, his voice sharp and commanding. "Stay with me. Talk to me. What happened?"

All Might's eyes fluttered open, his breathing ragged and laboured. He managed a weak smile, though it was strained with pain. "Endeavour... you're late."

Endeavour's jaw tightened, but he didn't rise to the bait. Instead, he focused on the task at hand. "Shut up and listen. I'm going to cauterize your wounds. It's going to hurt like hell, so grit your teeth."

All Might chuckled weakly, though it quickly turned into a cough, blood spilling from his lips. "Do... what you have to..."

Endeavour nodded, his expression grim. He placed his hand over All Might's chest, his flames flickering to life as he prepared to seal the wound. The heat was intense, the air around them shimmering as Endeavour focused his quirk with surgical precision.

"This is going to hurt," Endeavour warned, his voice low and steady. "But it's the only way to stop the bleeding."

All Might's jaw clenched, his body tensing as Endeavour's flames seared the wound shut. The smell of burning flesh filled the air, and All Might's scream echoed across the battlefield, raw and primal. But Endeavour didn't stop. He couldn't. Not until the wound was sealed.

When it was done, Endeavour leaned back, his flames dissipating as he assessed his work. The wound was closed, the bleeding stopped, but All Might wasn't completely okay. His breathing was shallow, his body trembling with pain and exhaustion.

"You won't die here today All Might." Endeavour said, his voice was firm.

All Might managed a weak nod, his eyes closing as he fought to stay conscious. Endeavour stood, his flames roaring to life once more as he turned his gaze toward the horizon. Daigo was still there, and Endeavour wasn't going to allow him to leave.

"All Might!" Endeavour said loudly, "You lay here, but not for long. I will go after Proxy, but I expect you to be up and ready to bring him down also. This may be the only time that the two of us will fight together, so do not miss out on it."

Endeavour turned his back to him, not looking for a response, his flames burst to life and he shot into the sky, ready to unleash hell on the man who started all of this.
