Forgotten Lineage

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Admission

After a short ride, Hagan and Amara arrived at the Academy. She stopped in front of an entrance and flashed an ID at the gate operator, he confirmed her ID, then lifted the gate, allowing them to pass through.

Amara parked the car then they started walking towards the main entrance. Once there they were greeted by a man who seemed to be nearly forty years of age, had messy but clean brown hair and a beard. His eyes were blue and he was extremely tall, nearly two meters tall, his voice was deep and calm as he said:

"It's nice to see you, Amara. Is this a the person you mentioned earlier?"

"It's nice to see you too Allen. And yes, this is him, Hagan."

Hagan studied the large and burly man, noticing that he was no stranger to fighting as he had a few scars on his face arms. Hagan looked him in the eye and spoke, his voice still shaken from the First Trial, "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Allen."

Allen let out a small laugh and said, "Nice to meet you too Hagan, I hope you find your stay here at the Academy comfortable."

Hagan slowly nodded and then began to follow Allen through the entrance. The first thing he saw was a large open area with a stage at the front. They went to the left and down a hallway, then entered an office which had people working behind computers. One of the workers noticed them and said: "Welcome, if your here to fill out a form, they are on the table to your right. Fill out all necessary information and once it's completed, hand it to me and I'll put it in the system."

Hagan nodded and grabbed a paper and pen, he analyzed the paper hoping not to have to reveal too much information about himself. He began to fill out the form.

Once finished, Hagan handed it to the lady behind the desk. She looked at it, frowned, then looked back at Hagan.

"You left some important information blank, sir."

Hagan looked at her, confused and asked: "What?"

"Your parents, contact info, and address."

Hagan lowered his head a little and frowned, "My parents are dead and I don't have a home."

"Oh… Well… Is there anyone else you can put down as a contact?"

"… No." Hagan sighed deeply and turned away to go follow Allen and Amara out of the office.

Allen, glanced at Amara then Hagan. "Well, what classes did you sign up for, I'll show you where they are then we can head to your dorm to rest."

"I chose Wilderness Survival and Combat Training."

"Wilderness Survival, huh? Good choice, I think your the only one to sign up for the class this year, but sadly the Combat Training class is full so you'll have to choose another class or only take the one. Tomorrow you should head back to the office and let them know what you'd rather do instead."

Hagan peered at Allen, raised an eyebrow, and opened his mouth to say something but decided not to.
