Xu Ke's voice was loud, instantly silencing everyone present.

Upon hearing his words, a jolt went through the crowd. That's right. The evidence didn't prove at all that Xu Ke was the father. Doubts began to surface.

But Siao Jia wasn't the least bit flustered. She looked at Xu Ke with tear-filled eyes. "Must you be so heartless?"

"Just tell me what you want," Xu Ke said impatiently.

Siao Jia sobbed. "I really just want you to come back."

"If you don't believe this child is yours, I can get an amniocentesis for a DNA paternity test!"

"But you know how risky amniocentesis is..." Her voice grew fainter, trailing off into, "But as long as it makes you believe me, I'm willing to do anything."

Her words painted her as the weaker, vulnerable party. Some women in the crowd who had been pregnant before began to sympathize with her again. She was even willing to risk an amniocentesis. Doesn't that prove her sincere love for Xu Ke?

Then, Siao Jia reached into her purse.

"Xu Ke, I'm begging you!" Siao Jia pulled out a property deed. "Even if you won't come back for the sake of our child, don't you forget that the house you worked so hard for still has both of our names on it."

"This is our home!"

The property deed clearly listed two names: Xu Ke, Siao Jia.

Xu Ke's expression darkened. She dares to bring up the house in front of me?

A mocking smile touched Xu Ke's lips. He understood now. So that's how it is. No wonder! No wonder the crowd, usually just passive onlookers, was so agitated today. And that was it. No follow-up.

Xu Ke turned off his phone and looked at Siao Jia. "You aren't going to tell me I faked these voice messages, are you?"

Everyone had seen him open the chat window and press play. It was impossible to fake.

Siao Jia didn't dare to argue. She couldn't!
