Chapter 20: What's the rumor?
Without even thinking twice, Akira took to his heels. His only savior, was that he was a very good sprinter. In fact, he had once represented the school in an international competition. As he ran through the darkness, he had one thought which was racing through his mind.
'Who were these people who wanted to torment him in this school? Phew!" Luckily for him, as he got to the hostel, he realized that the gate was still open, and with that, he swiftly ran inside.
Hopefully, he was going to raise this issue of unwanted attacks, to the school authority.

The next morning was a rollercoaster of emotions for the entire students. Jonathan had woken up from sleep before Akira, and he decided to go through some of his documents, and also speak to a couple of people which were his family and friends, who were in the United States.
As he picked up his phone, he immediately got a text from an unknown number which read...
'Hi... Can I come over to your room to keep you company?' He glanced through the contents of the message, as he tried to process who could've sent him such message.
Slowly, he forgot about that text and continued to arrange his belongings. Occasionally, he paused to look at Akira, who looked extremely innocent as he slept.
Soon, he heard a knock on the door, and since he had earlier asked a year one student to bring breakfast to his room, he opened the door, without even asking any question. However, he was greeted by the sight of someone else whom he had least expected to see.
It was the notorious Dan!
For a slight second, he paused to look at him from head to toe, to ascertain if he missed his way or something.
"Hi... How may I help you?" Jonathan asked him politely.
Dan kept mute for some seconds, before responding to him with a flirty tone.
"I came to keep you company..." He responded.
However, Jonathan couldn't help but imagine what Dan was up to.
"And who said I need company?" He returned the question back to Dan.
Even though it seemed like a normal discussion, from what he had heard about him, and also the weird dramas that he had displayed some days ago, Jonathan had already concluded that this boy was a lunatic.
"Please, I know you need some. Don't you find me attractive enough? Huh?" He asked while biting his lips and with that, Jonathan banged the door on his face. That was like the height of it all.
After two minutes, Jonathan heard a knock on the door, and this time around, he rose up in anger, to beat the hell out of Dan. With a clenched fist, he headed towards the door, and just immediately he opened the door, he realized that it was the year one student that brought him breakfast, and he nervously sighed.
_____
11AM.
The bright morning sun that lighted the whole area up, soon shone directly on his face. With the strength that came with the weight of the whole universe, he stretched his hands and whole body, as he yawned with a sleepy eyes.
Yesterday had been a very hectic day for him, and he needed enough rest, so as to be able to refill the vigor that he had lost. As he slowly sat up on his bed with his morning boner, he realized that his roommate, Jonathan, wasn't in the room.
Quietly, he stood up from the bed, walked up to the bathroom to freshen up and take his bath, then he walked back into the room to eat the breakfast that was on the table. In no time, he had swallowed every pieces and crumble of food that was on his plate.
Next, he decided to dress up and go to the volleyball court to exercise his body. So, he picked up his red sports wear, applied his body spray, picked up his phone, and walked out of his room with visible confidence, laced from his head to toe.
As he walked through the hallway way, he could notice the eyes on him, as most of the students had never seen him in full sports regalia. Just as he walked out of the school gate, he realized that he wasn't with some cash in hand, but he just waved it off.
_____
As Jonathan walked to the sports center, he suddenly became the center of attraction.
"Damn! He's so hot. Didn't know he also does sports." One of the boys murmured.
"No wonder his body is that slender and athletic, at the same time..." Another said.
"I'd love to be in the same team with him..." Yet another, and even more students continued to whisper among themselves, but he chose to ignore them.
Soon, he got to the volleyball court, and he realized that some kind of match was already going on. However, it was never a hard thing for some substitution and adjustments to be made for the school's star boy to join.
Jonathan was so engulfed in the game, that he didn't even know when he played for over thirty minutes. After a while, he fell down in exhaustion.
"Are you tired?" A familiar voice asked him, while handing him a bottle of water. Just as he turned to see who it was, he realized that it was that boy. Edwin!
Slowly, Akira looked at him for a while, before responding.
"Thank you, Edwin." He appreciated the boy with a smile, as he gulped down the water.
There was a sudden awkward silence between them for a while, before the boy finally broke the silence.
"Ummm... I apologize for the other day that you caught me dancing..." He said with a nervous tone, and Akira just smiled at him.
"Well, it's nothing. Just make sure that you don't get in trouble. Always try hard to stay off unnecessary drama. So, do you do other sports aside volleyball?" Akira asked him.
As he spoke to the boy, he still made sure to observe him from head to toe.
"Yes, a couple of them. So, I also play football, lawn tennis and basketball." The boy explained with a smile.
"Wow! That's great!" Akira responded with a smile.
Then again, there was another round of silence, until the boy spoke.
"No offense..." The boy began with a smile. "I had a rumor about you..." He began, and at that instant, Akira freezed in uncertainty.
He wasn't sure of what it could be.
"What's that? What did you hear?" Akira asked with a tensed tone.
