First Legendary Dragon: Starting With The Limitless System

Chapter 438: Talking with the Manager

Orion casually waved his hand and replied with a smile, "No need to trouble yourself so much. Just inform your manager that Orion Helstorm has come and he needs his help with something."

Instantly, the young attendant's eyes widened dramatically, her pupils dilating as she sharply inhaled. Even the nearby attendants stiffened in shock upon hearing the surname "Helstorm."

No matter how ignorant or isolated they were, everyone in Thunderpeak Kingdom had heard of the renowned Duke-level House Helstorm, one of the most prestigious and influential noble families backing the very establishment they worked in.

The attendant quickly regained her composure, excitement and awe filling her tone. She bowed even more deeply, her voice slightly trembling, "Understood, Young Noble Orion! I will immediately inform the manager, so he can arrive as swiftly as possible."

Orion nodded in acknowledgment and turned toward the arranged seating area nearby. Plush sofas and polished wooden tables were arranged at the side.

He leisurely seated himself, crossing his legs as Lyra cheerfully hopped onto the seat beside him, her emerald eyes bright with innocence and curiosity.

Watching her carefree demeanor, Orion softly smiled. Despite witnessing him beating a young noble into a pig-like state, Lyra seemed clearly unbothered.

Reflecting on their travels, he remembered how she had watched him slaughter beasts, never showing disgust or discomfort. Orion surmised it was likely due to her bloodline as she was quite clearly not a human and thus paid it no further mind.

Soon after, several attendants respectfully approached, bringing forth trays of delicious snacks and colorful, aromatic drinks.

Orion casually took a sip of the refreshing beverage, enjoying the pleasant sweetness, while Lyra excitedly munched on the snacks, her cheerful giggles filling the previously tense atmosphere. He also had the attendants bring some fruit juice for Little Lyra.

After a short while, hurried footsteps echoed from outside. A middle-aged man swiftly entered Limitless Heaven, clearly flustered from his rushed arrival.

He was slightly shorter and rather plump, dressed in rich merchant attire. His beady eyes revealed an astute, cunning nature, precisely the kind a seasoned merchant would possess.

Despite his seemingly ordinary appearance, Orion's senses immediately discerned the man's Tier 7 cultivation. In a city under a mere Viscount's influence, such cultivation marked him as one of the strongest figures present, second only to the ruling Viscount himself.

The manager quickly approached Orion, bowing deeply with sincere reverence, his voice filled with respect, "Greetings, Young Noble Orion. I have long heard countless tales of your greatness from Master Magi."

Hearing the familiar name, Orion smiled slightly. He gently placed down the glass in his hand, his deep gaze calmly settling upon the nervous manager. "So, you already know my identity?"

The manager nodded rapidly, sweat appearing on his forehead from his eagerness to please, "Of course, esteemed sir! Master Magi ensured that every branch manager, regardless of their location, knew exactly who you were. He explicitly instructed us to follow your every command without question should you ever visit, as you are the true and honored owner of Limitless Heaven."

Orion's smile widened subtly, appreciating Magi's thoughtful arrangement. Standing from his seat, he gently took Lyra's small hand, helping her to stand beside him. "This is not a suitable place for our conversation. Let's go to your office."

The manager immediately bowed again, courteously extending his hand toward the stairs, "Of course, Young Noble Orion! Please allow me to personally escort you."

With the manager respectfully leading the way, Orion walked leisurely up to the third floor, Lyra happily trotting beside him.

As they passed, staff members and customers respectfully bowed or curiously observed their group, sensing Orion's noble aura as those who were on the upper floors didn't know what had happened.

Finally reaching the third floor, the manager guided them into a spacious office decorated richly, befitting a prosperous establishment like Limitless Heaven.

Once seated comfortably in the private setting, Orion glanced around approvingly before his calm gaze returned to the manager.

After some small discussion about the store, Orion got to the point and asked with a calm tone, "So, is that idiot coming often to cause trouble? How much has this happened?"

The manager carefully thought for a moment, his expression becoming solemn as he recalled the recent events.

His gaze flickered briefly with suppressed frustration before he respectfully replied, "Young Noble Orion, he has indeed been troubling us for quite a while now. It started shortly after Master Magi left. Initially, he merely caused minor disruptions, but recently, his provocations have become more brazen and frequent."

Orion quietly listened, his fingers gently tapping against the smooth wooden armrest of his chair.

His expression remained calm, but an icy coldness gradually emerged in his eyes as he considered the implications. The audacity of a mere Viscount's heir repeatedly causing trouble in Limitless Heaven was clearly something that couldn't be ignored.

Noticing Orion's silence, the manager continued with slight embarrassment, "I have tried multiple times to contact Master Magi, but recently he seems unreachable. He briefly returned a few weeks ago in the capital but something urgent must have come up, as he quickly left again without handling matters at the capital branch. Thus, the situation here has become somewhat tricky."

Hearing this, Orion inwardly heaved a relieved sigh, thinking silently, 'At least Magi seems safe. I'll have to check on him personally when I reach the capital.'

He then nodded calmly at the manager, "You don't need to worry about Magi, I roughly know about his circumstances. He should be fine, just occupied with important matters. I will talk with him when I visit the capital."

The manager's shoulders visibly relaxed upon hearing Orion's assurance, he didn't know how to deal with the situation if Magi left the capital branch.

Orion then shifted the topic back to the immediate problem at hand, leaning forward slightly as his voice turned colder, "Tell me more about this Viscount. Do you have any idea about who might be backing him?"

The manager carefully shook his head, answering honestly, "Unfortunately, Young Noble Orion, I'm not certain who's supporting this Viscount. He himself has never openly confronted us, preferring instead to let his troublesome son act as his proxy. From what I can gather, he doesn't wish to openly offend Limitless Heaven, but he also doesn't intend to allow us to earn money in peace. Perhaps he's attempting to force some sort of concession or compromise from us."

Orion listened silently, digesting the manager's analysis. His expression subtly darkened, and he casually stroked his chin in contemplation, a subtle gleam of anticipation and amusement briefly flashing through his deep eyes.

"Interesting. A mere Viscount dare to oppose a Duke House? He clearly understands the influence of Limitless Heaven, yet chooses to allow his idiot son to test our bottom line. Perhaps it's time to teach him clearly why the flowers are red."

The manager's eyes lit up immediately upon hearing Orion's resolute declaration, and his previously tense expression significantly eased.

His voice carried a tone of exhaustion and anticipation, "With Young Noble Orion here, I'm certain this matter will soon be resolved decisively. Limitless Heaven's reputation will surely return to its rightful place."

Orion nodded slightly, a faint but confident smile forming on his lips. He was about to speak further when he felt a gentle tugging on his sleeve.

He turned his head slightly and saw Lyra looking up at him with large, innocent eyes. Her soft voice carried a clear note of childish grievance, "Papa, I'm hungry."

Orion's lips immediately twitched uncontrollably as he quickly corrected her yet again, "I'm your Big Brother, Lyra, not your papa."
