Chapter 430: Fight In The Wild
Towering trees stretched endlessly in every direction, their leaves filtering the sunlight into dappled patterns on the forest floor. Frustration slowly built within him, his expression darkening.
"Just how far did that damn spatial fissure throw me?" Orion grumbled aloud, glancing around the unfamiliar surroundings with annoyance. "At this rate, I'll have to walk a week just to reach the Thunderpeak Kingdom's border. No wonder Uncle Edgar and Brother Lucan couldn't find me."
Heaving a sigh, Orion continued onward while keeping high alert. He had tried to fly there before but had to fight with aerial beasts every so often, and that proved to be even slower than walking.
And just as he was leisurely walking on the path, an abrupt chill surged down his spine, every instinct screaming danger.
Without hesitation, he leaped backward, narrowly evading a devastating strike. An enormous claw slashed downward, gouging a massive scar deep into the ground exactly where he had stood moments ago.
Orion's expression hardened, all playfulness instantly extinguished. Standing before him was a colossal beast, seemingly a mix of horse and lion.
Its powerful muscles rippled beneath thick hide, its eyes glowing with malevolent crimson light. But what unsettled Orion most was the distinctly oppressive aura emanating from it, eerily similar to that terrifying serpentine beast he'd encountered in the ruin.
Before Orion could even formulate a counterattack, the creature unleashed a terrifying roar, shattering the tranquil forest.
Understanding his dire predicament, Orion made an instant decision. Without another thought, he turned, unfurled his thunderous draconic wings, and soared skyward at breathtaking speed, pushing his body to its limits.
Yet, the monstrous creature refused to allow him any reprieve. With shocking speed, it leaped into the sky, massive limbs swiping downward violently.
Orion desperately attempted to dodge mid-air, but the beast's claw tore through the air with unstoppable force, brutally smashing into him.
Pain exploded through Orion's body as he hurtled downward, crashing mercilessly into the ground.
A deafening impact echoed throughout the forest, dirt and shattered debris scattering everywhere.
Gasping in agony, Orion struggled upright, blood trickling from his mouth as he glared fiercely upward.
"Dammit," Orion cursed, his breathing ragged. "This bastard's strength is at Exalted Grade at least. Has it already comprehended laws?"
Lumi's frantic voice urgently echoed in his consciousness, panic unmistakable in her tone.
[Master! Be careful! This beast definitely has begun comprehending the Law of Wind! You cannot face it directly!]
Orion clenched his fists tightly, frustration and adrenaline surging within him. He understood clearly that a direct confrontation spelled certain death.
Yet, fleeing seemed equally impossible, this creature's strength, speed, and aura surpassed all the beasts he had encountered before combined.
As if mocking his dilemma, the beast slowly descended, landing gracefully in front of him. Its massive paws crushed the earth beneath its weight, its lion-like mane bristling with hostility as it stared down at Orion with contempt.
Orion gritted his teeth fiercely, determination and defiance burning in his eyes as he swiftly made his decision.
Without hesitation, he activated his Draconic bloodline, roaring furiously as brilliant, thunderous energy surged forth from deep within him.
His body rapidly transformed, enlarging significantly as thick, glistening scales of radiant purple erupted across his muscular body.
Fierce lightning arcs danced menacingly around him, tearing through the air and scorching the earth beneath. Massive draconic wings of lightning unfurled majestically behind his back, emanating a terrifying pressure.
In these past days, Orion had absorbed tens of thousands of High-Grade Mana Crystals. He had forced his Mana and physique cultivation to the absolute peak of Tier 7.
Even though he hadn't yet ascended fully, his power had reached an unprecedented level. Orion's eyes glowed with intensity, and he released his Dragon's Might in a full, unrestrained explosion of domineering authority.
The oppressive pressure of Orion's Dragon's Might slammed directly into the creature's soul, momentarily staggering it.
The massive beast paused briefly, confusion and unease flickering through its crimson eyes as its aura visibly weakened.
Yet, its gaze quickly hardened again, roaring furiously to dispel the suppression as wind currents violently surged around its body.
Orion steadied himself, his breath ragged but controlled. He reached into his inventory, swiftly retrieving both the Realm Guardian Sword and another Greatsword specially forged for his enlarged draconic form.
The two massive blades gleamed coldly in his clawed hands, humming softly with intense mana.
Taking a deep breath, Orion rapidly infused both weapons with Advanced Grade Sword Aura, each blade erupting with brilliant arcs of lightning and razor-sharp destructive power.
His gaze remained locked fiercely onto the towering beast, determination unshakable despite the desperate odds.
"Come then, you bastard!" Orion roared defiantly, thunder echoing through his voice, shaking the surroundings violently. "Let's see if your Law of Wind can overcome my draconic might!"
With a terrifying roar, the beast immediately charged, the Law of Wind swirling fiercely around it. The creature blurred, rushing forward with impossible speed, its claw slamming violently toward Orion.
Refusing to retreat, Orion surged forward, meeting the beast head-on. Both of his swords slashed out simultaneously, brilliant arcs of lightning and deadly sword energy tearing through the wind currents and colliding fiercely with the creature's massive claw.
A deafening shockwave erupted upon impact, violently devastating the surrounding forest, trees uprooting and splintering apart, rocks shattering under the force.
Orion was violently knocked backward, skidding harshly across the ground, blood spurting from fresh wounds.
Yet, despite the agony, Orion refused to yield. His eyes glowed fiercely as he immediately recovered and surged forward once more, stubbornly unleashing an onslaught of relentless attacks. His Draconic lineage started affecting him as he became more ferocious as he fought.
He unleashed an endless barrage of powerful spells, blazing flames, fierce thunderbolts, emerald vines, scarlet blood spells, all while his twin swords relentlessly slashed toward vital points.
Each strike of his swords held overwhelming strength, empowered by his draconic physique, advanced sword aura, and yet they couldn't break through the mere skin of the beast.
The beast responded mercilessly, each of its attacks brutally overwhelming. Every collision sent Orion hurtling backward, fresh injuries multiplying rapidly on his battered body.
His draconic scales cracked and shattered, and his flesh tore open, blood spraying violently. Yet, Orion stubbornly persisted, drinking vial after vial of healing elixirs to sustain his battered form and instantly recover mid-battle.
As time passed, the battle intensified, both combatants gradually devastating the forest around them.
The lush and vibrant forest was reduced to shattered earth, scorched trees, and fragmented rocks, a battlefield scarred deeply by their titanic clash.
Internally, Orion cursed bitterly. He had recently conducted hundreds of desperate Gacha draws, yet failed to get a single useful defensive or offensive scroll for precisely this kind of desperate scenario.
Now, his only option was to battle fiercely, desperately seeking a fleeting chance to escape alive.
The beast, finally enraged by Orion's stubborn defiance, suddenly halted, its bloodshot eyes blazing murderously.
Wind Law surged violently around its entire body, condensing rapidly into a terrifying cyclone.
An enormous tempest of wind, infused with sharp, lethal law fragments, began forming above it, spiraling rapidly in a destructive storm capable of annihilating everything in its path.
The beast roared arrogantly, hatred burning in its roar as it began gathering wind from the surrounding environment.
Orion's heart raced furiously, sensing imminent death within the catastrophic tempest above him. Even from a distance, the devastating force tearing the air apart caused his breathing to falter momentarily.
Lumi's panicked voice screamed urgently within his consciousness,
[Master, watch out! This is the beast's ultimate attack! You absolutely cannot withstand it head-on!]
