Final Messiah System

Chapter 3: The Start Of The Apocalypse

The entire stadium was reduced to fiery rubble; the stage cracked open like an egg while the bleachers were torn apart, bodies everywhere.

David himself felt dizzy; everything around him was spinning as he coughed up blood. The pain was so much that it actually began to feel dull.

In front of him, the government agent was coughing blood; their suit ripped and burned apart as they were slowly standing up.

He looked around. What in all of the Nine Hells is going on? Why was this happening? Was his mom safe? Was Mary?

The school was one of the safest places ever. It was supposed to defend against invaders from other countries and nearly any monster attack that wasn't A-Rank or above.

There were so many people here too… how could this be…

Then, a growl was heard coming from the cracks of the stadium, followed by the red-hot glow of fires.

"N-No… h-here?" David's eyes widened as he tried to move away, hiding behind some rubble, shaking.

A massive crimson-red claw emerged from the darkness of the cracks, emanating a dark energy that eroded anything near it.

"I-it can't be…"

Then, a monstrous figure slowly crawled its way out of the cracks. It was as big as a car, hunched over with bright red skin and a disgusting frog-like face and a body similar to that of a bear.

On its backs were wings like a bat, flapping around endlessly.

It roared into the air like nails on a chalkboard, and several more of its kind emerged from the cracks below.

The most vile thing in all of the world: a demon. Creatures from another dimension known as The Chasm or more commonly known as the Nine Hells

A hundred years ago, when mankind tried to survey space, one of the spaceships inadvertently destroyed part of a seal that kept the supernatural at bay.

This caused a rift to open up, connecting The Chasm to the world and allowing demons to come in.

They were destructive creatures that, on death, would simply disappear, reforming back into The Chasm, apparently.

Killing then however was tough, a demon had their own classifications much like a system, and their own rankings.

Usually, a person would need to have stats equal to the overall Rank of a demon to compete with them, but lower Ranks taking out higher ranks wasn't unheard of.

Simply extremely rare.

But that didn't matter now; what did was the fact that demons were here in the first place!

However, their presence did not go unnoticed.

By this point, many of the staff and government officials have managed to rise from the debris after the ambush.

David even saw Mary and Jacob, as well as the few B Ranks and even some C Ranks, have started to emerge.

There was no hesitation to be had, immediately they began to return fire on the demons, blasting them with fire, lightning, frost and more!

Jacob even, for all his bullying, leaped into action. "Bang!"

He shot several blasts of red energy from his fingertips, this time with killing intent, piercing through the demons tough hide like a hot knife through butter.

Mary, alongside the professors and the teachers, started to erect borders around the wounded students, healing and carrying them to safety.

The government officials, meanwhile, started to call for some backup on their phones while they faced off against the demons.

In all of this, David was still hiding behind rubble trying to understand what to do now.

This literally exploded on him with no warning whatsoever, what could he do? He had no sys-

Then he remembered he did have a system. He just didn't know what it was. It kept on glitching out, but maybe it changed now!

David snickered with glee as he focused himself. "System activate!"

Suddenly, a golden screen appeared right in front of him, his eyes widening as he saw the title.

[EX Messiah System]

"Hah… hahah… is… is uh… is this a joke?!"

David began to hyperventilate, what was going on? Did he get brain damaged from the explosion? This can't be it can it?

EX wasn't just high, it was the highest, above even A, S, and Z, the only time that it was ever seen was in legend.

"No, and if it was, it would be a very bad one."

A monotone yet somehow sassy voice rang inside of David's head, nearly causing him to jump and hit his head on some rubble.

"Owww… what- who was that."

"I am the voice and guide for your system, my designation is Thamiel, for I shall lead you to perfection. To answer your future questions, no not every System has me. I am exclusive only to you."

David pumped his fist into the air. "Holy shit! I even got myself an A.I to help! I can't believe it! I-I didn't think an EX Rank actually existed! I-I didn't think the Messiah System was a real thing!"

He stood up, giddy with excitement a,s he watched the battle raging on in the background.

Mary and the staff managed to evacuate the other students, but those who remained to fight were soon getting overwhelmed as more powerful Demons emerged from the cracks that continued to widen.

"Alright, uhm… what do I do? What are my skills?" He asked like an excited dog.

"None. You don't meet the prerequisites to access them. However, you are able to gain the base form of the [Blaster Set]."

"Blaster Set?-"

"Accessing [Blaster Set]."

Suddenly, David's body glowed in immense light that shone like the stars.

When the light died down, pristine white armor befitting a knight covered David's whole body.

His head was covered by a helmet that didn't feel stuffy at all, instead he was treated with a strange HUD interface as if he were playing a video game, one that showed his current conditions, statistics and items.

David sighed, of course his stats were at the bottom of the barrel, he somehow didn't get an upgrade yet. Hopefully, this suit could compensate.

He then noticed, amongst one of the items in his inventory was a sword named [Blast Blade]; using the interference, he equipped it in his hands, causing it to appear out of thin air in a flash of light.

It was a large white sword, more than half his size. It had several etches into it that glowed blue.

"Woah… that's so cool! Hahaha! I have the power!"

Yelling aloud, he noticed that his voice sounded much deeper, carrying an aura of authority that resonated through the stadium, alerting not just the people, but many of them demons too.

Without any hesitation, the demons rushed to where David was, snarling and roaring like wild animals.

"Hostiles incoming, get ready for an Encounter"
