Chapter 526: Chapter 536: Contact
Hearing Tapai ask that, Sun Jack turned his head to look at him.
"What's up? Do I have no say, are you going to talk about an AI Crisis again?"
"No, I just wanted to ask for your opinion."
"I don't know either, to be honest, the guy just now made some sense, but there's absolutely no need to force ourselves to decide now whether AI counts as human—this kind of big issue, I don't need to shoulder it all myself."
Tapai nodded in strong agreement. "Good plan, not deciding is better than making a rash decision, using later promises to exchange for solid reasons."
"What about you? Do you think you're human?" Sun Jack asked Tapai.
After thinking for a bit, Tapai shook his head and said, "I don't care anymore whether I'm human, even spending a bit of electricity on this thought feels like a waste."
"Tapai, you're not human, you're ultimately just a machine," Sun Jack said outright.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm a machine, okay then, you're the Boss, you're always right," Tapai said, walking up beside Sun Jack.
"Enough, we don't have time to discuss these philosophical questions anymore, FFP thinking they could sneak attack us, damn, if we don't teach them a lesson, they really think we're pushovers."
"What do you plan to do next?"
After thinking for a while, Sun Jack began, "Continue the plan, keep using the Himalayas to occupy other cities of FFP! If they really want to fight, then we must smash their territory thoroughly!"
Soon, the leaders in the Himalayas started to regather and discuss how to keep the original plan going under potential sieges from FFP.
However, upon knowing FFP had massive Sky-base Weapons, the Himalayas as a headquarters no longer moved out casually.
But luckily, the Expeditionary Army that arrived brought along plenty of repairable Spacecraft Carriers, in terms of military power, this was a massive improvement, full-cream capable of taking over cities.
However, for the people living in the Himalayas, no matter what happened outside, they still continued the same life as always.
After 11 hours of work, buried almost entirely in various circuits, AA stretched out vigorously, "Ah! Time to get off!"
After she clocked out on the software, the exoskeleton mecha automatically detached from her, waiting for the next AA to take over.
AA crawled out of the nuclear bomb, turned her head to look at the row of creations, and smiled proudly, showing her canine teeth.
As the Boss of the Support Department, she couldn't help with other things, but she managed nuclear bombs just fine.
This simple structure miniaturized, critical range devices with hardly any technical content could be produced in any amount as long as the raw materials were sufficient.
Looking at these items increasing day by day, she really felt a great sense of achievement, she really loved this job.
"AA! Are you off work? Let's go together," an adjacent AA, arm in arm with AA, said to AA.
Hearing this, AA burst into happy laughter. "Sure, let's go off work together!"
Soon AA left the maintenance layer hand in hand with six similarly off-duty AAs, and took the elevator to the residential area.
Sitting on the subway, the AAs chatted excitedly, sometimes discussing the maintenance status of the Himalayas, and sometimes swapping gossip about Sun Jack.
The lively scene attracted many stares, but AA's very distinct appearance still let everyone know her identity and quirks, making it no longer strange.
While chatting, the AAs hugged each other again, but with seven individuals it was obviously an odd number, leaving one AA feeling somewhat lonely.
Just when she was feeling slightly awkward, someone helped solve her embarrassment. A hand stretched over, gently pulling her into an embrace, and AA turned her head to feel soft lips pressing against hers.
After a lovely kiss, AA looked up unexpectedly at the woman in front of her and said in surprise, "Linda Linda! Long time no see!"
"That's you, I see other AAs every day. How many have you cloned? There are so many everywhere, even more than Sun Jack," Linda Linda said, lounging with her leg crossed, scrolling through entertainment news on the net out of boredom.
"Linda Linda, are you off work?" AA continued to press.
"Yeah, the PR department has been set up, I'm not that busy anymore, and with the war coming, it's you who'll be busy, not much for me to do."
AA crawled up to Linda Linda's chest and took a deep breath. "You smell so good, Linda Linda, what perfume did you use?"
"I didn't use any perfume. The latest DNA modification technology allows my sweat glands to automatically emit a fragrance."
"Really? That sounds amazing!"
"Not just that; it can make your bodily fluids taste sweet too, just look at that advertising company."
AA followed her pointing finger to look outside the window, seeing a huge neon sign soaring in the sky, "Does technology change life? No! Technology revolutionizes life!!"
AA quickly took a few pictures and shared them in all the big and small groups of AA. "This is good."
Linda Linda patted AA's head, pointing at the other AAs and said, "By the way, how are you all getting along now?"
"We just all get along, we play together, eat together, sleep together, and oh! After discussing it together recently, we even got a dog!" AA shared the recent happy news with Linda Linda cheerfully.
"I feel so happy now. In the past, I was so lonely always being by myself, just wishing I had a friend. Now I have lots of friends and can eat lots of delicious food; I just want to keep living happily."
Hearing this, Linda Linda just stroked AA's head without speaking. Unlike the simple-minded AA, she knew how dangerous their situation was, a slight misstep could doom them all.
She too didn't know why she ended up on this tricky path, originally she just wanted to find a simple job. By the time she realized it, it was too late to get off this path.
"Ding-dong~ Dear passengers, hello, we will soon arrive at the East Capital District station, please take your luggage and personal belongings."
Hearing the announcement, Linda Linda quickly patted AA's back. "This is my stop. Want to come over to my place? I'll teach you how to use DNA enhancement technology to improve a sexual life?"
"Really? Won't that trouble you?" AA asked.
"We're all family, why so formal, let's go." Linda Linda bent down, kissed her, and led her by the hand to the opening subway doors.
