Faulty Utopia

Chapter 520: Chapter 530: Escape

"Sky-base Weapons?!" Sun Jack's eyes widened, staring at the endlessly shocking artillery in the sky, looking at those massive satellites undergoing special modifications, weapons from The Previous Era.

It wasn't just one or two; there were a full sixty of them!

Sun Jack had used those things before and knew the power of these weapons from The Previous Era.

He never imagined that the Sky-base Weapons returning to orbit with him would be so easily replicated by FFP in such a short few years!

Looking at those powerful satellite weapons in the sky, Sun Jack felt as though his body had plunged into an ice cave at that moment.

Clearly, on Earth at that moment, apart from hunting him down, there was no other place that required such formidable weapons; they were all damn designed to strike at him!

At that moment, he had a deeper understanding of what X had said earlier; this was only the military preparation of a single city, and it was hard to imagine what other cities were preparing. It was obvious that Lan Meng had no intention of dragging things out with him any longer.

"No, I must immediately inform the original body of this situation!" Sun Jack did not hesitate to connect to the network, ready to enter the private encrypted channel set by Tapai and transmit this critical information.

However, a huge 404 error window popped up directly in his face. After a quick glance, Sun Jack realized that this damn place had cut off the connection to the world network, making it impossible to contact Himalayas from this city.

Clearly, FFP had thought of the same things Sun Jack could think of.

They were not fools; facing his Sun Jack software, they were adapting at a swift speed and mounting a counterattack.

Sun Jack cursed furiously and immediately bolted out of the front door, the oppressively close high-rise buildings outside and the gigantic adult advertisements failing to hinder him in the slightest.

With a single-hand support, he leaped into the heavy rain mid-air.

As the intense feeling of weightlessness came over him, the acidic rain and savage winds enveloped Sun Jack, hastening his fall downward.

However, just as Sun Jack was about to hit the ground the next second, red flames shot out from the thrusters, the strong thrust swiftly carrying Sun Jack over the top of a car and flying towards the wilderness.

The original owner of this body, being an enthusiastic fanatic of Sun Jack, knew him inside out; therefore, before his death, he considerately installed all the mechanical prosthetic bodies Sun Jack frequently used into his own body and even added other vital and non-essential combat equipment, reflecting his diligence.

He even left a heartfelt PS in the body's memo, but Sun Jack did not glance at it.

All he could think about now was to pass on this information as soon as possible, whether he went to other cities or left the shielded area.

As Sun Jack flew, he opened the map ready to pinpoint his location, but the scanning system automatically detected that there were two drones tracking him.

Accompanied by a swift scan from Sun Jack's Artificial Eye, the hacker software infiltrated one of the drones.

The drone's data soon appeared on Sun Jack's system interface, "Behavior module comparison software is running, flight posture comparison the same, confirming 93% likelihood it's Sun Jack, feedback: calling for reinforcements...."

"Damn it! They can even track me by my flight posture." Sun Jack immediately clenched his teeth, swiftly descended, and immediately activated the mimetic camouflage on his trench coat, beginning to blend into the crowd.

However, this situation didn't improve much. No matter where Sun Jack hid, the surrounding cameras invariably turned towards him, and more and more drones began to appear in the sky.

Faced with cameras everywhere, some of which could see through his mimetic camouflage, he had nowhere to hide.

It wasn't just drones soon, but even armed hover cars began to fly towards the area.

"Damn it! Damn it!" Looking at the swarm of drones that had started to descend from the sky, Sun Jack's heart thumped wildly. He wasn't afraid of death, but he was truly afraid that the FFP would use these sky-base weapons against the Himalayas!

If the Himalayas were caught off-guard, those incredibly powerful sky-base weapons could turn the small mechanical planet into a showerhead!

"No matter what it takes, I must find a way to get this message out! I must do this!"

"Here they come!" Hearing the continuous radar lock-on warning sounds, Sun Jack quickly leaped forward, flying past a mechanical two-dimensional character wearing glowing bubble socks, straight into the nearby armor shop.

Rushing past the faces hanging on the wall, Sun Jack headed straight for the operating room. Without waiting for the doctors and customers to react, he shot through the window glass and charged outside.

Not far behind the armor shop was a neon-lit brothel, where naked mermaids posed suggestively inside the clear vertical tubes.

Enduring the pungent smell of hormones, Sun Jack plunged in headfirst and began darting through the chaotic scene, trying to lose the trackers behind him.

Just then, a scantily clad hostess on the stage began with a dramatic flourish, "Ladies and gentlemen, hello! Next up, please enjoy a new number brought to you by the conjoined four sisters: 'Soy Sway Sway Sway!'"

However, before the show could get underway, a swarm of drones flew in, disrupting the nascent mood. They opened fire. Bursts of smart tracking rounds flew in from behind towards Sun Jack, screaming and cheering filled the air as the brothel descended into chaos.

Although the smart bullets couldn't hurt Sun Jack, who had titanium alloy and subcutaneous armor installed, his coat's mimetic camouflage was clearly damaged, and he became an easy target to spot.

As Sun Jack sprinted, he planted one hand on the ground and flipped backward in midair to dodge bullets. At the same time, a red laser beam shot out from his collarbone, piercing through two hovering drones. The flaming drones crashed into the crowd, causing further pandemonium.

But no sooner had two drones crashed than four more entered, and it seemed nearly impossible for him to deal with the increasing number of trackers alone.

As Sun Jack activated his metallic artificial eye at the back of his head, he saw more and more tracking units behind him.

Sun Jack gritted his teeth, knowing he had to take a gamble. If he kept on running like this, the chances of escape would only diminish.

Just as Sun Jack burst out of the brothel, he didn't hesitate to dash into the neighboring drug store, with all the drones buzzing directly after him, rapidly scanning and trashing the clean, orderly shop.

Within the chaos, having just downloaded a new behavior module, Sun Jack, wearing a face mask snatched from the previous armor shop, ran out of the drug store along with the other customers.
