Chapter 517: Chapter 527: Change
Sun Jack looked at the Hope Lily before him, assessing the metallic succubus covered in various external devices.
"Is there something you need?"
Hope Lily hadn't spoken yet when tears uncontrollably started falling. Behind her, a drunken Old Six rushed over and hugged her, "Mom, don't cry, we won; be happy."
"Get away from me!" Hope Lily forcefully pushed him away, her eyes red as she turned to Sun Jack, "Can I have the body of Number 43? Now that it's all over, I want him to rest in peace. I don't want him to be a flesh puppet that you can manipulate at will."
Sun Jack glanced at Old Six, who was leaning on a table and drinking, "Are you sure you want to do this?"
"I'm sure! He has been very tired, I just want him to rest peacefully," Hope Lily said unwillingly.
"Alright, I agree," Sun Jack let the clone controlling Body 43 walk over. As the two consciousnesses rapidly overlapped and departed, Body 43's flesh was swiftly vacated, turning into a lifeless vegetable.
"Thank you." Hope Lily bowed deeply to Sun Jack, then turned with Body 43's corpse and left.
Watching her departing figure, Sun Jack looked at Old Six nearby, "She made her choice, what about you?"
Old Six put down his bottle of alcohol and burst into laughter. "I wouldn't choose that, I can't bear to."
Hope Lily arrived at a graveyard, watching as she, with the help of a funeral robot, buried Body 43. "I'm sorry..."
She looked at the gravestone, memories of her time with Body 43 replaying in her mind, the more she thought, the more her heart ached.
Just then, footsteps approached from behind. Old Six ran up and pulled Hope Lily up from the ground, "Mom, can we stand and cry? It's cold on the ground."
After a few unsuccessful tugs and increasing his force, Hope Lily fiercely pushed him away, glaring viciously at Old Six, "Why are you always following me! Why! I don't even know you!"
"Isn't it just like anyone else wanting to f*** me? Come on then! Come on!" A hysterical Hope Lily started to strip off her clothes, advancing towards Old Six.
Watching Hope Lily's naked, seductive body approach, Old Six helplessly retreated step by step.
All the brazenness and shamelessness of the past were utterly useless in front of him now.
When Hope Lily grabbed Old Six's right hand and pressed it against her body, Old Six cried out like a child, terrified.
A metal arm reached from behind, grabbed Old Six's arm, and yanked him back forcefully. In the next second, a furrowed Sun Jack deactivated his Mimetic Camouflage and shielded the helpless Old Six behind him. "What are you doing!"
Sun Jack slapped her across the face, the crisp sound hitting Hope Lily's cheek, "Get dressed! You're using his mother's body!"
Stunned, Hope Lily froze. After a few seconds, she looked up at the angry Sun Jack and obediently started to dress.
"Do you even know who you are?" Sun Jack asked.
Watching Hope Lily remain silent, Sun Jack spoke again. "You're not really Hope Lily. Although I don't know how you woke up, you're not a person; you're just a prostitute program installed in someone else's corpse!"
"Are you not curious why you don't have any past memories? Are you not curious why you suddenly came back to life? Can the dead be resurrected?"
Hearing this, Hope Lily shifted her gaze and slowly looked towards Old Six, "If I am your mother, why didn't you come to find me! Where were you when I was being tormented!!"
Old Six's voice was filled with grievances, "I've been searching, I've been searching constantly, mother, but I just can't find you."
With red eyes, Hopelily shook her head blankly and came back to the grave marked number 43, staring straight at the holographic projection. "I don't care who I am, I only care about him, it's him! It was him who took me out of that Hell!"
As she finished speaking, the three people in the graveyard fell silent, and the atmosphere quieted.
"Sun Jack, do you think he's foolish in your eyes? Do you think he's mindless?" Hopelily slowly opened her mouth.
Sun Jack looked at the smiling face on the tombstone of number 43 and slowly shook his head, "No, he was just an ordinary person."
"Yes, he was just an ordinary person. He should have been working peacefully at the Metropolis Company, living his life smoothly, but your appearance broke that peace and dragged him into an environment he should never have been part of."
With her head bowed, Hopelily clenched her fists tightly as she spoke, "Sun Jack, why did you do this?"
"Why did I do this?" Sun Jack took a step forward aggressively. "Because I couldn't stand seeing other people's mothers, daughters, and wives, even in death, not find peace! Their bodies were fitted with prostitute chips and sent to brothels. I wanted to put an end to this cycle!"
"Then why him? Why him…" Hopelily sobbed, leaning over the tombstone and began to cry.
"Sorry, I'm just a person, I'm not a wish-granting fairy, I can only do my best."
Sun Jack finished speaking and turned to Old Six, "She is your mom, whatever you decide, I respect your choice, but I don't want another number 43 popping up, remember to find me if there's any trouble."
Old Six tried to put on his cavalier smile again, but his smile looked uglier than crying, "Thanks, bro."
"We're brothers, no need for thanks, just be less corrupt."
Sun Jack didn't say much, because he knew Old Six was aware of his boundaries and understood what he should and shouldn't do.
At that moment, a phrase rapidly appeared on the tombstone, "A presumptuous idiot."
Seeing this, Sun Jack frowned and quickly sent a message through the internal channel, "Stop messing around."
The phrase was swiftly deleted as he spoke.
Sun Jack turned around and left, giving the mother and son some private space.
Returning to the lively party, Sun Jack greeted Linda Linda's lips with a kiss, and began to relax.
Under the influence of alcohol, Sun Jack's thoughts finally got a breath of fresh air, and he could finally rest properly.
After an unknown amount of time, he was awoken by the music from his communicator. Sun Jack opened his eyes, finding himself in bed, embracing the bare-bodied accountant and Matrix in his arms, with Delete lying at his feet.
"Damn." Sun Jack sat up, no longer surprised by such situations, only hoping that the next time he woke up there wouldn't be men lying on him.
"Who?" Sun Jack said as he connected to the communication, calling for the three to wake up.
"It's me." Tapai popped up from the screen, "While you were having your orgy, I checked the residual data of &'s Puppet."
"And then?" Tapai must have found something, or else he wouldn't contact him suddenly.
"& is dead, not just the Puppet's body, but his actual body is really dead. He was literally scared to death by a simple message from Lan Meng."
