Chapter 64: Start of Orleans
Kadoc just looked at Ritsuka as they were in the cafitaria. "So what exactly happened early in there morning for you".
Ritsuka sighed heavily, resting his head in his hands as he sat across from Kadoc in the cafeteria. "You really want to know?" he muttered, his voice filled with resignation.
Kadoc raised an eyebrow, taking a sip of his coffee. "I mean, you've looked like you've been through a war zone since this morning. It can't be that bad, right?"
Ritsuka gave him a flat stare. "Imagine waking up between three powerful women, two of them practically goddesses, all of them in your harem, and realizing your face is buried somewhere... uh, inappropriate. Then trying to escape only to make things worse by ending up face-first in another, well, equally awkward spot."
Kadoc blinked, staring at him for a long moment. "Wait, three of them? In your bed?"
Ritsuka groaned. "Yes. Medusa, Morgan, and Kama."
Kadoc's expression went from mildly surprised to borderline horrified. "That sounds... chaotic."
"Chaotic doesn't even begin to describe it." Ritsuka ran a hand through his hair. "I spent the entire time trying not to die. Kama thought it was hilarious, Morgan wanted answers, and Medusa... well, she was thankfully calm, but still."
Kadoc leaned back in his chair, giving Ritsuka an amused but pitying look. "You really have the worst luck. You're the only guy I know who could turn a harem into a life-or-death situation."
Ritsuka glared at him. "It's not like I asked for this. Do you think I wanted to be trapped between them? I was just trying to sleep!"
Kadoc smirked, taking another sip of his coffee. "Sounds like your mornings are a lot more eventful than mine. All I had to deal with was Ophelia lecturing me about strategy over breakfast."
"Yeah, well, at least Ophelia's not going to kill you over a misunderstanding." Ritsuka slumped back in his chair. "I swear, I'm gonna need therapy after this. How do people even handle harems in peace?"
Kadoc snorted. "If you figure that out, let me know. Sounds like something you could write a book about." He paused, then gave Ritsuka a mischievous grin. "Or maybe just avoid sleeping in the same bed as all three of them next time."
Ritsuka groaned again. "Trust me, that's the plan."
Kadoc looked at Ritsuka. "My question is why did Morgan asked Questions, doesn't she and Kama normal sleep with, with you sandwich between Kama and Morgan"
Ritsuka looked at her. "You answered your question, there is not a third"
Ritsuka leaned back in his chair, trying to gather his thoughts as Kadoc's question sunk in. "Exactly. Usually, it's just me and Kama, with Morgan playing her role as the overprotective wife. But adding Medusa into the mix? That's a whole new level of chaos."
Kadoc raised an eyebrow, smirking. "So, it's not just the fact that you were sandwiched between them, but the implications of it all. I can see why Morgan would have questions—she's probably thinking about her territory."
"Right?" Ritsuka ran a hand through his hair in frustration. "Morgan's always been fiercely territorial, and having Medusa there, especially with how close she is to me now, probably felt like a threat to her. I can't blame her, but it still made for an awkward morning."
Kadoc nodded, his expression turning serious. "You need to have a talk with them about boundaries, Ritsuka. Otherwise, this might escalate into something you really don't want to deal with."
Ritsuka sighed. "You're not wrong. I thought things would settle down after we got through the last couple of crises, but now I feel like I'm in the middle of some high-stakes emotional drama. It's exhausting."
"Welcome to harem life, I guess." Kadoc chuckled, then added, "But seriously, you need to figure this out. Otherwise, you might find yourself having to pick sides. And trust me, that's a fight you don't want."
Ritsuka nodded, feeling the weight of the situation. "I know. I need to talk to them all—make it clear that I care about each of them and that this is supposed to be a partnership, not a competition."
"Good plan." Kadoc leaned forward. "Just be careful how you approach it. Each of them has their own set of insecurities, especially Morgan and Medusa. You don't want to stir the pot too much."
"Right." Ritsuka took a deep breath. "I'll figure something out. Maybe a group outing or something to ease the tension?"
Kadoc smirked. "Just don't suggest a trip to the Underworld. I hear it's a bit... tense down there right now."
"Noted," Ritsuka replied, chuckling. "Thanks, Kadoc. I really appreciate the advice."
"Anytime, man. Just remember to keep your head on straight." Kadoc grinned, finishing his coffee. "And maybe invest in some earplugs for the next time you wake up in a pile of goddesses."
Ritsuka laughed, shaking his head. "I'll add that to my shopping list. Right next to therapy."
Ritsuka then looked at Kadoc. "Atlest I don't have ice cooler on my neck with chain being hold by Girlfriend (Anastasia), who is the master of in this one"
Kadoc looked at his ice collar. "Hey, Anastasia is Not My Girlfr-". He then felt the chained be pulled as he saw Anastasia in the distances. "I mens your not wrong".
Ritsuka then leaned into wishpering to Kadoc. "We are trying our best to fix the Yandere thing so thing like what happened to Anastasia from being a shadow servant to a full servant doesn't happen again".
Kadoc shot Ritsuka a look that was part disbelief and part amusement. "Yeah, well, good luck with that. You've got a full house of goddesses, and I'm stuck with the queen of yanderes. I don't think I can compete."
Ritsuka raised an eyebrow, his voice low. "Listen, you've got a point, but the yandere thing isn't just a curse; it's a blessing if you handle it right. Anastasia has a fierce loyalty that can be a game-changer in battles. We just need to find a balance."
Kadoc sighed, glancing back at Anastasia, who was now closing the distance with that determined look in her eyes. "Yeah, but that loyalty comes with a price. She's... intense, to say the least."
"Intense is an understatement," Ritsuka agreed, trying to keep his voice light. "But we're working on it. Just like I have to navigate my situation with the harem, you need to find a way to keep Anastasia in check without triggering her possessive instincts."
Kadoc nodded, a hint of anxiety creeping into his expression. "Easier said than done. Last time I tried to give her a little space, I ended up with an ice sculpture of myself in the courtyard."
Ritsuka chuckled. "See? You need to find the right balance. Maybe you can find a way to let her know you care without making her feel insecure. Communication is key."
Before Kadoc could respond, Anastasia arrived, her presence commanding. "Ritsuka, Kadoc, why are you two whispering? Plotting something against me?" She placed her hands on her hips, giving them both a playful glare.
Ritsuka quickly shook his head, raising his hands in defense. "No, no! We were just discussing the best ways to make our lives easier, that's all."
Kadoc added hastily, "Yeah! Just... strategy talk, you know?"
Anastasia narrowed her eyes, clearly not buying it. "Strategy talk, huh? Is that code for 'how to avoid our girlfriends'?"
Ritsuka swallowed hard. "Uh, well... in a way. We were just trying to figure out how to manage... relationships better."
Anastasia's expression softened slightly, but she still maintained an air of skepticism. "If you're talking about me being too possessive, I'd like to remind you that my loyalty is part of my charm."
Ritsuka nodded, his tone earnest. "We appreciate that, really. It's just about finding a way where everyone feels secure. You know how intense things can get."
"Yeah," Kadoc chimed in, "and no one wants to end up frozen in ice, right?"
Anastasia smirked, relaxing a bit. "I suppose you're right. I'll try to tone it down… a little."
Ritsuka and Kadoc exchanged relieved glances.
"That's all we're asking," Ritsuka replied. "And we'll make sure to keep the lines of communication open. No more secrets or whispering behind backs."
Anastasia nodded, her expression shifting to a more serious one. "Good. I'm all for open communication—just as long as it doesn't involve any other girls."
Ritsuka chuckled nervously. "Of course! Just the three of us here, right?"
"Right," Kadoc added quickly. "Just the three of us."
With that, the tension eased a bit, and the trio settled into a more comfortable atmosphere. Ritsuka glanced around the cafeteria, noticing the various dynamics playing out among the other Servants and Masters.
"Hey, speaking of communication," Ritsuka said, shifting the topic, "how are the others handling everything? I saw Kama and Morgan sharing a table earlier. Any updates on that?"
Kadoc rolled his eyes. "Let's just say, it's a work in progress. Kama is her usual playful self, but Morgan looks like she's ready to launch an attack at any moment. It's like watching a live action horror movie."
"Wonderful," Ritsuka replied dryly. "I'll add that to my list of things to handle today."
Anastasia leaned closer, her expression thoughtful. "Ritsuka, perhaps you should organize a group meeting? It might help everyone air out their feelings and figure things out together."
Ritsuka considered this, a small smile forming. "You know, that's not a bad idea. A harem summit might just be what we need to clear the air and address the yandere tendencies before they spiral out of control."
Kadoc raised an eyebrow, a hint of mischief in his eyes. "Just make sure to keep the ice and fire under control. We don't want any explosions or frozen bodies piling up in Chaldea."
Anastasia smiled, her eyes glinting playfully. "As long as I'm not the one doing the freezing, I think we'll be fine."
Ritsuka nodded, feeling a renewed sense of hope. "Alright then. Let's plan this out. Maybe a lunch meeting with snacks will ease everyone into the conversation."
The trio shared a light-hearted laugh as they began discussing the logistics of their upcoming harem summit, unaware of the brewing tensions still lingering in the shadows of Chaldea.
Later that day, in the Chaldea command room, as Olga was looking at Ritsuka.
Olga looked at Ritsuka. "So as we know the are 7 more singularty, and each of them are done by this 666 we don't know who she or what are deal is"
Dr Romani then spoke. "And now we have to deal with these 7 singularty, 7 different points in time, we have decided to send Ritsuka to this the first one, we chose this one why because it is so far the easiest"
Olga then spoke. "As for why the other team A can't join, they just came back from death kinda, thank you Ritsuka for that, and we have chosen this one, it is Orlean's, during the 100 year war, something in there is changing history, mission go there, fix the problem and get the grail".
Ritsuka then looked at Dr Romani. "What about the people"
Dr Romani looked at him. "Doesn't matter, once time is set back they will set back to the proper time so no worries, so get in thr rayshift coffin Mash and Ritsuka, hope you are ready to go to the 100 year war".
Ritsuka took a deep breath, steeling himself for the mission ahead. The weight of the situation pressed down on him, but he couldn't let it show. "Alright, I'm ready," he replied, trying to mask any trepidation in his voice. He turned to Mash, who stood beside him, her expression a mix of determination and concern.
Mash nodded, her resolve solid. "We'll do our best to fix this, Ritsuka. For everyone affected by the changes."
"Right," Ritsuka said, trying to project confidence. "Let's get this over with." He stepped toward the rayshift coffin, glancing back at Dr. Romani and Olga for any last-minute advice.
Dr. Romani gave him a reassuring smile. "Just remember, this time you won't be alone. You have Mash by your side, and we'll be monitoring your progress from here. If things get too chaotic, we'll guide you through it."
Olga added, her tone serious yet supportive, "Stay focused, and keep an eye on your surroundings. The changes to history might not just be in the environment; they could manifest through the people you encounter as well. Be careful, Ritsuka."
"Got it," Ritsuka replied, feeling a sense of camaraderie with them. He took a moment to mentally prepare himself, thinking of the friends and Servants he would have to rely on in the upcoming battle.
Once inside the rayshift coffin, Ritsuka settled into the familiar but eerie sensation of being transported through time and space. He glanced at Mash, who gave him an encouraging nod. The brief moment of calm was shattered as the rayshift began, and Ritsuka felt the world around him shift and blur, colors blending into a whirlpool of light.
When the dizziness subsided, he found himself in a battlefield. The air was thick with tension, the sound of clashing swords and cries of warriors echoing in the distance. Ritsuka took a moment to adjust, his eyes scanning the area for any immediate threats.
"Mash, are you alright?" he asked, turning to see if she had made it through the rayshift without issue.
"I'm fine, Ritsuka," Mash replied, her voice steady. "We need to assess the situation quickly. From the sounds of it, a battle is ongoing."
Ritsuka nodded, quickly gathering his thoughts. "Let's find a vantage point and get a layout of the area. We need to figure out what's causing the disruption in history."
They moved cautiously toward a nearby hill that overlooked the battlefield. As they climbed, Ritsuka felt a wave of nostalgia wash over him. He had seen many battles in different eras, but each time was unique, each with its own struggles and stories.
Once they reached the top, Ritsuka surveyed the chaos unfolding below. Clad in armor, knights clashed fiercely against one another, the banners of various factions fluttering in the wind. It was a scene of desperation and valor.
"Look, Ritsuka," Mash pointed. "There seems to be an unusual concentration of energy near the center of the battlefield. That could be where the anomaly is originating."
Ritsuka narrowed his eyes, focusing on the chaotic mass of fighting. "It looks like we'll need to get in there to understand what's going on. But we have to be careful; we don't want to get caught up in the fight if we can help it."
"Agreed," Mash said. "We should find a way to blend in and gather information first. There might be locals or soldiers we can speak with."
Ritsuka nodded, his mind racing with possibilities. "Alright, let's find a way to the front lines without drawing too much attention to ourselves."
As they maneuvered through the chaos, Ritsuka couldn't shake the feeling that they were stepping into something far bigger than just a battle. The threads of fate were weaving in ways he couldn't yet comprehend. He glanced at Mash, her determined expression giving him strength. Whatever awaited them in Orléans, they would face it together.
Eventually, they reached the edge of the battlefield, where soldiers were more focused on the fighting than on anything else. Ritsuka spotted a group of knights huddled around a fire, their armor dented and worn from battle. This could be their chance to gather intel.
"Let's approach them carefully," Ritsuka instructed. "We need to act like we belong here."
As they approached, Ritsuka felt a mix of excitement and anxiety. He could sense the weight of history surrounding them, and he was determined to set things right. But little did he know that their actions would soon attract the attention of those who would not easily accept outsiders meddling in their affairs.
"Who goes there?" one of the knights called out as they drew near. Ritsuka could see the suspicion in the knight's eyes, and he steeled himself for the challenge ahead. "State your business!"
