Chapter 58: What Are Beast
Ritsuka then search for Kama and pulled her to a room. "What is Nega Desire"
Kama blinke as she relsied he used that skill. "It my skill as a Beast Of Humanity"
Ritsuka just looked at her. "Yeah what is a Beast Of Humanity"
Kama just looked at Him. "If I tryed to explain you find will explode, so System Explain"
Ritsuka saw the Blue, white and Purple System screen as he saw the message
[ The Beasts of the Counter Force are comprised of Evils of Humanity. They are evils born from "the karma produced by humanity's progress." There are two categories: beings oppressed/persecuted by humanity, and beings used by humanity for oppression/persecution.
Henry Jekyll, having explored the idea of separating good and evil in humans, posits that the evils of humanity are intrinsic to humans and cannot be separated from them. Rather than the seven sins cleansed by the messiah, the evils of humanity are fundamental to human nature itself. Jekyll believes the evil within humans cannot be defeated, and humans cannot run away from the evil. As humans cannot cast away their intelligence, they are unable to cast away evil. Though humanity is aware of its tragic end, the evil is an unstoppable impulse that cannot be separated due to that very intelligence.
Beasts possess a unique ability to forcibly erode the space around them, transforming their surroundings into something else. This even takes effect within a Reality Marble
Too dum it down for the Host, Beats Are Creatures of Sin]
Ritsuka furrowed his brow as he processed the system's explanation. "So, you're saying that Beasts are basically manifestations of humanity's darkest aspects?"
Kama nodded, a serious expression crossing her face. "Yes. I embody one of those evils. The Nega Desire is a reflection of that, amplifying negative feelings and desires. It can be destructive, depending on who wields it and the intentions behind it."
Ritsuka leaned against the wall, rubbing his temples. "So, what I felt when Beryl... died? That was Nega Desire?"
Kama glanced away, her eyes clouded with thoughts. "It seems so. The ability can heighten emotions to a dangerous level, especially in someone already under stress. You're not just feeling anger; you're amplifying it. And if you're not careful, that can lead to... darker paths."
Ritsuka sighed, frustration bubbling within him. "I didn't want that. I just wanted to save everyone, but instead..." He shook his head, trying to clear the chaotic thoughts.
Kama stepped closer, her voice softer now. "Ritsuka, you need to understand that having this power doesn't mean you're destined to become a monster. You have control. The choices you make define who you are, not the abilities you possess."
He looked into her eyes, seeking reassurance. "But what if I lose control? What if I hurt someone I care about?"
Kama placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "That's a risk we all face. Emotions are powerful, and it's easy to be swept away by them. But remember, you're not alone. You have us—your harem, your friends—to help you stay grounded."
Ritsuka nodded, trying to believe her words. "I guess I have to be more mindful of my emotions. I can't let this power define me."
The air felt heavy with unspoken words, but Ritsuka took a deep breath, pushing aside the shadows that loomed in his mind. "I need to learn how to control this power better. If I'm going to lead everyone, I can't let fear or anger take over."
Kama smiled, her eyes sparkling with encouragement. "That's the spirit. Acknowledging your feelings is the first step. If you ever feel overwhelmed, just come to me or anyone else in your harem. We'll help you through it."
"Thanks, Kama," he said, feeling a surge of warmth at her support. "I'll make sure to reach out if I need help."
As they shared a moment of understanding, the weight of the world felt a little lighter. Ritsuka knew he had challenges ahead, but with his friends by his side, he felt a renewed sense of determination.
"Alright," Ritsuka said, straightening up. "Let's focus on the mission. We have a lot of work to do."
Kama nodded, her playful demeanor returning. "Lead the way, Senpai. And remember, I'm always here to keep you from going overboard. Just don't make me regret it."
With a shared smile, they exited the room, ready to face whatever awaited them in Chaldea, armed with the knowledge that even the darkest parts of themselves could be understood, controlled, and transformed into something positive.
Ritsuka looked at Kama. "What is your sin"
Kama just looked at him. "The sin I represent is Lust my dear Ritsuka"
Ritsuka just looked at her. "The Goddes of Love and Lust has the sin of Lust, yeah makes sense"
[ As I have said just she is horny as fuck for you ]
Ritsuka sighed, shaking his head at the system's blunt remark. "Yeah, that tracks," he muttered.
Kama smirked, leaning in a little closer. "It's not just about physical desire, you know. Lust can mean many things—craving, longing, obsession. It's the drive that can lead someone to seek what they truly desire, for better or worse."
Ritsuka glanced at her, still processing. "I guess it's more complex than I thought. Lust isn't just... one thing."
Kama nodded. "Exactly. It can push people to their limits, but it can also help them grow. It all depends on how they handle it. In my case, it's part of who I am, but it doesn't define everything about me." She gave him a teasing smile. "Though, when it comes to you, I can't say I'm not a little... focused."
Ritsuka laughed awkwardly. "Yeah, I've noticed."
[ Focused is an understatement. Let's just say, host, she's got her eyes on the prize. You might want to watch out for her... enthusiasm. ]
Kama playfully rolled her eyes at the system's comment. "Don't worry, Ritsuka. I'll try to behave... mostly."
Ritsuka sighed again, but there was a warmth to his expression. "I'll take what I can get."
Ritsuka then looked at Kama. "But what ever happens, I don't want I become someone i hate, especially by using Nega desire"
Kama just looked at him, and with a smile she kissed him before she spoke. "Your a good person Darling, never change never change, and your first harem member and first wife I will make sure of that"
Ritsuka felt the warmth of Kama's kiss, and her words sank deep into his mind. He looked into her eyes, feeling a strange sense of reassurance. "Thanks, Kama. I'll hold onto that," he replied softly.
She smiled at him, her usual sultry demeanor softened by a rare sincerity. "I know you'll find a way to handle all of this, without losing yourself. And you'll have us by your side to make sure you stay the way you are."
Ritsuka nodded, feeling the weight of his responsibilities, but also the strength of his bonds with those around him. "I just don't want to become... like Beryl or anyone who abuses their power."
Kama placed a hand on his chest. "You're not like them. You have the power to change things, but you also care about people. That's what makes the difference, Ritsuka. You've got your head and heart in the right place."
He smiled, feeling a little lighter. "I'll try to keep it that way."
Kama leaned in close, whispering in his ear. "And I'll be here to make sure you don't forget... especially about your first wife part." She winked, her playful tone returning.
Ritsuka chuckled, feeling a mixture of amusement and affection. "Yeah, I'm sure you will."
Later that day with Medusa, as Medusa was just looking at Ritsuka as she was blushing
Ritsuka just looked at her. "Um what is wrong Medusa"
Medusa just looked away embraced. "I am still thinking on what my alter self said to you"
Ritsuka scratched the back of his head, feeling a little awkward. "Oh, that..." He paused, not entirely sure how to respond, but noticing Medusa's deep blush and how she kept fidgeting. "I mean, you don't have to worry about it. You're not that version of yourself anymore."
Medusa turned her gaze back to him, still flushed but with a bit more resolve in her eyes. "I know... but I can't help feeling embarrassed. The way I acted as my Alter form—it's like a part of me that was... unrestrained. And I said things that I never would now."
Ritsuka tried to reassure her. "It wasn't really you though. That version of you was influenced by the Grail, right? Your feelings now are what matter, not what you said back then."
Medusa bit her lip. "I understand that, Master, but..." She paused, clutching the edge of her dress nervously. "Some of those feelings—what I said—weren't entirely false. My Alter form simply expressed them in a... less subtle way."
Ritsuka blinked, trying to process her words. "Wait... so, you mean you do feel something like that, even now?"
Her face turned a deeper shade of red as she avoided his gaze again, clearly flustered. "Not exactly like that... I mean, I don't want to turn you into... that," she stammered, recalling the part about making him her 'sex toy,' which still made her want to disappear from embarrassment. "But..." she trailed off, looking at him shyly. "I do... care for you, Ritsuka. A lot. And I want to be close to you. But in a way that... that's more gentle. And meaningful."
Ritsuka felt his heart skip a beat at her confession. Medusa's usually calm and composed demeanor had melted into something so vulnerable and sincere that it caught him off guard. "Medusa..." He started to say something, but words failed him for a moment. Instead, he walked over to her, gently taking her hand in his.
Medusa looked up at him, surprised by the gesture, her breath catching in her throat.
"I care about you too," Ritsuka said softly, squeezing her hand gently. "And whatever feelings you have, we'll work through them together. You don't have to feel embarrassed about anything."
Medusa blinked, her heart racing as she held his hand. "You... really mean that?" she asked, her voice quieter now, almost trembling.
Ritsuka nodded, smiling warmly at her. "Of course. We're a team, Medusa. And more than that... we're friends. Whatever happens, I'll always be here for you."
Medusa's blush deepened, and for a moment, she was speechless. Her mind raced, but there was also a sense of calm washing over her. It felt like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. "Thank you, Master..." she whispered, her voice barely audible. She slowly leaned closer, resting her forehead gently against his chest.
Ritsuka felt his face heat up slightly, but he didn't pull away. Instead, he wrapped an arm around her in a comforting gesture, holding her close. "You're welcome."
The two stayed like that for a moment, the silence between them filled with a comfortable warmth.
After a while, Medusa pulled back slightly, her face still red but with a soft smile on her lips. "I... I'm still getting used to these feelings, but I think I'll be alright. As long as you don't mind me being... a little shy sometimes."
Ritsuka chuckled softly. "I don't mind at all. You're perfect the way you are, Medusa."
Her eyes widened at his words, and for the first time in a long while, Medusa felt truly at peace. "Thank you, Master..." she repeated, her voice filled with gratitude.
As the day went on, Medusa found herself staying close to Ritsuka, the shy glances she gave him filled with more affection. And though she still blushed whenever she remembered what her Alter self had said, she knew now that her feelings for Ritsuka were much deeper than any fleeting desire.
They were the kind of feelings that would grow stronger over time—built on trust, respect, and a love that she hoped, one day, would truly be returned.
Ritsuka then smell's something, as he looked at Medusa. "Hey Medusa do you smell that, I don't know how to describe it is sweet like maybe strawberry but also kinda sickening but like in a good away"
Medusa relsihe as she looked even more embarrassed. "Oh no"
Ritsuka looked at her. "Are you producing it by your self, I mean you are Phantasmal Beast so it makes sense, and you are a minor goddess"
Medusa just looked at Ritsuka. "I um yes, but um what are you doing"
Ritsuka was smelling as he looked at her. "Smell's nice"
Medusa looked at him. "... Nice, I wonder when was the last time I heard that"
Ritsuka blinked, realizing the situation as Medusa's words sank in. He pulled back a bit, sensing her embarrassment, but also a deep vulnerability in her voice. "Wait, sorry if that was weird," he said, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. "I just... it caught me off guard. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."
Medusa glanced at him, her cheeks still flushed, but there was a small, soft smile on her lips. "No, it's alright, Master. It's just... something I've always been self-conscious about. The scent—it's a natural part of me, like you said, because of my nature as a Phantasmal Beast and goddess. But in the past... it wasn't always received well."
Ritsuka frowned slightly, realizing what she meant. "People didn't like it?"
She nodded, her eyes lowering. "Many found it unsettling, or they didn't understand it. It's not exactly something that a lot of people would describe as 'nice.' It's tied to my mystic energy as a Gorgon, so it's not always... pleasant for others."
Ritsuka shook his head, taking a step closer to her again. "Well, I think it smells nice," he said sincerely, looking directly into her eyes. "I'm not just saying that either. I mean it."
Medusa blinked in surprise at his words, her heart skipping a beat. "You really think so?" she asked quietly, her voice filled with a mixture of disbelief and cautious hope.
Ritsuka nodded, his expression gentle. "Yeah, I really do. It's unique, like you. And I think it's something that makes you special, not something to be embarrassed about."
Medusa felt a warmth spreading in her chest as she stared at him. His words were so genuine, and for the first time in a long time, she felt truly seen—accepted for who she was. "Thank you, Master..." she whispered, her voice trembling slightly with emotion.
Ritsuka smiled softly. "Anytime, Medusa. You don't have to hide anything from me, alright? I like you for who you are—every part of you."
Medusa felt her face flush even more, but this time it wasn't just from embarrassment. It was from a deep, growing affection for the man standing before her. Her heart raced, and for a brief moment, she wondered how someone could be so kind—so understanding.
"I'll... try to remember that," she said softly, her voice barely audible. Then, almost without thinking, she took a step closer to him, her hand gently brushing against his. "I'll try to be more comfortable... with myself, as long as you're by my side."
Ritsuka's heart fluttered as he looked down at her hand touching his, and he felt a surge of warmth and protectiveness wash over him. "I'm not going anywhere, Medusa," he said quietly. "You can count on that."
Medusa's smile grew a little wider, her eyes shining with a mixture of gratitude and something deeper—something she was still coming to terms with. But in that moment, she felt more at ease than she had in centuries.
Perhaps, with Ritsuka by her side, she could finally start to accept herself completely.
