Fate Reignites: My Rampage in a World Where Time Stops

Chapter 329: The Battle of the Clans Begins! (Two in One)_2

"Blood Demon and Nest Clan?"

"Wait…" The previously indifferent Ancestor of the Moon Spirit's eyes instantly narrowed, looking at Qin Chuan with increased suspicion and uncertainty, "How do you know the names of these three clans?!"

Why could the Human Race recognize clans from the previous ten thousand years?!

Was there an unknown connection between the Immortal Clan and the Human Race?!

Qin Chuan didn't answer the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit's question.

With the answer in his heart, his eyes shimmered with a cold light as he looked towards the remaining four Main Priests.

The Green Moon Chief Priest transformed into the Ancestor of the Dwarf Demon, the Green Moon Main Priest transformed into the Dragon Ancestor, and the Blue Moon and Purple Moon he had dealt with multiple times both transformed into the Half-demon Ancestor and the Ancestor of the Lan Clan, respectively.

Although they retained part of the original form of the Moon Spirit Clan, they also possessed the forms of different, entirely new clans, as if they were hybrids bred from two clans.

Added to that was the Moon Spirit Clan that the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit himself represented.

He was, in effect, battling the ancestors of ten different clans at once.

Qin Chuan fell silent for a moment, then looked at the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit, "It seems you're not planning to fight me right away?"

"The clan battle lasts for 240 hours, and the First Rank and Second Rank must already be engaged, but we still have plenty of time," said the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit with a cold curve to his mouth. "You seem to know something about the last ten thousand years, and I don't mind having a chat with you first."

"After all, friends from the previous ten thousand years are already dead."

"Then let's talk," Qin Chuan said as he sat cross-legged in the void, his expression gradually calming down. "I'm very curious, how did you manage to take over, through the Manager's authority?"

"That was only a small part of it," the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit said, shaking his head slightly. "Our Moon Spirit Clan excels in the power of life."

"Life is a miraculous thing," the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit said with a reminiscent look in his eyes and a chuckle, "It has endless possibilities."

"Long ago, I had a notion."

"There are many clans at the Heavenly Dome Rank, each with their own characteristics and powers. If their strengths could be combined, would it be possible to create a perfect new clan?"

Qin Chuan's eyes narrowed slightly as he suddenly realized something, staring intently at the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit.

"The incident in the blood moon that happened to the Moon Spirit Clan, was it your doing?"

"As the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit, you used your own clan for experiments?"

"The Moon Spirit Clan is the most capable of bearing the power of life and also the most likely to be compatible with the advantages of other clans," the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit spoke softly. "The sacrifice of a few of our own is necessary."

"Corpse Wolf…" Qin Chuan looked at the Blue Moon Chief Priest, who had become the Half-demon Ancestor, narrowing his eyes, "That's the result of the fusion of the Dead Ghost Clan, Half-demon Clan, and the Moon Spirit Clan, isn't it?"

"Yes," the Blue Moon Chief Priest replied calmly, the exotic patterns on his cheeks transforming his originally calm demeanor dramatically, "Sosali was a failed product from the clan fusion experiments."

"I also found this out not long ago."

"But I understand the Ancestor's intentions."

"The experiment may have sacrificed a Legend Rank, but our clan gained a Main Priest who is extremely suited to the Half-demon Power," said the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit with a low chuckle. "Isn't such a sacrifice worthwhile?"

Qin Chuan was silent.

Worthwhile?

Recalling the Moon Spirits wailing and deforming during the Spirit Moon Ceremony, he clenched his fist slightly.

At least as the Human Ancestor, he would never do such crazed things.

"It sounds like your experiments have failed," Qin Chuan said calmly. "In the recent Spirit Moon Ceremony, none of the Moon Spirits who transformed into other clans were successful."

"The so-called perfect clan that merges all clan advantages does not exist."

"Yes," the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit nodded, agreeing with this, "but in the process, I have not been without gain."

"I have discovered a way for the Moon Spirit Clan to merge with another Clan," the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit spoke softly, "but such fusion is not always successful; it requires a certain degree of compatibility, and this compatibility varies from individual to individual."

"Whenever a new Clan ascends to the Heavenly Dome Rank, the moon of the Heavenly Dome Rank turns blood red," the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit pointed to a moon on the horizon, a sight invisible to both the First Rank and Second Rank.

"This moon is the window through which the gods inspect the Heavenly Dome Rank," the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit continued softly, "With each new Clan added, the gaze of the gods briefly falls upon us, and the moon turns to blood red in response."

"Normally, there is absolutely no connection between the Third Rank and the First Rank; the power of the ancestors cannot be directly projected to the First Rank."

"However, with the Blood Moon as a medium, the ancestor's power can slightly affect the First Rank."

"The prerequisite is, making the creatures of the First Rank see the Blood Moon."

"It takes a thousand, even several thousand years of waiting for such an opportunity to come," the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit said indifferently, "I need to seize this fleeting moment to try interspecies fusion experiments and screen for those of my Clan with high compatibility to other Clans, to cultivate them as Main Priests."

"Each of the nine Main Priests has experienced the Blood Moon."

"It's just that some of them do not remember it themselves."

"Is this the real truth behind the Blood Moon aberration?" Qin Chuan looked at the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit, his emotions surging, eyes flashing with an intermittent light.

Unexpectedly, the truth of the Blood Moon was actually this.

"Yes," the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit nodded, "And now, you have seen the purpose for yourself."

He pointed to the nine Main Priests behind him, his face revealing a hint of pride, "My clan has been plotting for ten thousand years, and now we have ten ancestors."

"Over the past twenty thousand years, one invincible Clan after another has emerged in the Heavenly Dome Rank," the voice of the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit was incredibly deep.

"The Nest Clan, reproducing countless sub-clans, their numbers overwhelming, fighting them is an endless battle, eventually exhausted one will be overtaken and slain."

"Blood Demons, reviving from a drop of blood, undying and unyielding, their nature lusts for slaughter, they revel in bloodshed, the more they kill, the stronger they become, natural-born warriors they are."

"Illusionists, with unparalleled mental will, their dream abilities are insurmountable, their systems are highly compatible with the rules of the Heavenly Dome Rank, able to prevent consciousness from returning to the material world."

"The Crystal Clan, with perfect natural energy compatibility, can use powerful spells far beyond their rank with a mere gesture, physically fragile, but able to repair themselves."

"The Dragon Clan, unbeatable in close combat, their individual strength unprecedented, immune to all attacks, and hardly affected by negative statuses."

"Dwarf Demons, supreme in craft, now more than ninety percent of the tools and equipment in the Heavenly Dome Rank come from the hands of Dwarf Demons, a scene unmatched in the past ten thousand years."

"The Lan Clan, with mysterious battle formations and unfathomable power, if they had the scale of the Human Race today, they would have leveled the entire First Rank."

"Dead Ghosts, wielding the power of death, their strength skyrocketing with each death that occurs; if they were not the first to be eliminated, they would become extremely challenging."

"Half-demons... better left unmentioned."

"And these formidable Clans have all ultimately fallen on the Moon Spirit's invincible path," a sharp fighting spirit surged in the eyes of the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit, "We, who master the force of life, who can amalgamate other Clans, are the rightful heirs of destiny!"

"Human Race, what do you have to compete with our Moon Spirit Clan?"

"Destiny's chosen?" Qin Chuan repeated the words softly, then let out a disdainful sneer.

"My fate is mine to command, not heaven's."

"Whatever destiny, I scorn it."

"You..." the pupil of the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit suddenly contracted.

At that moment, Qin Chuan's figure overlapped infinitely with a silhouette in his memory.

"They say the new waves of the Yangtze River push the old ones forward; our Human Race certainly cannot be worse than the Immortal Clan," Qin Chuan drew a long knife from the void, his cold eyes fixed on the Ancestor of the Moon Spirit and the nine Main Priests.

"I actually still have quite a few doubts."

"But I think, you won't give me the answers."

"So, best to subdue you first, and talk later!"
