FATE of DxD

Unwelcome Guest VI

"And so Grayfia-san. Do you have anything else to say before I enact my agreed upon rights?" Jun inquired with a smile that did not reach his eyes.

"I only ask that you delay your punishment until I can communicate the events that occured here to Lord Sirzechs. We shall contact you afterwards to try and work out a route for all of us to be satisfied." Grayfia carefully worded her response.

"Hmm . . . Well, I guess I can give you that much leeway." Jun shrugged.

"You have three days to contact me, once that time is up, don't even bother to try." He added.

"Thank you Haikami-sama." Grayfia bowed as she gave her thanks to Jun for his understanding.

"You're quite welcome. Fair warning though, I sincerely doubt you will be able to change my mind so don't be too disappointed when the time comes." Jun cautioned.

"I understand, it is still my duty to communicate these things so that an attempt at a better resolution is at least made." Grayfia replied.

"I see. I find your dedication to be quite admirable. I hope we do not become enemies." Jun praised the silver haired maid.

She gave a little smile in response and said . . .

"You flatter me Haikami-sama. And I very much share your sentiment."

And so, with those parting words, Grayfia quickly teleported back to the underworld to try and sort things as fast as +possible within the time limit set by Jun.

After Grayfia finally left however, the rest of the people in the room finally came too again, realizing the gravity of the situation and being shocked at how respected Jun seemed to be by the bigwigs of the Devil Race.

"Haikami-sama! I'm aware of my sins and I assure out I meant no slight against you." Riser spoke, much more respectively and with a slight bit of fear finding its way into his voice as his entire peerage quietly stood behind him with trepidation.

"I am of course ware of that, Riser Phenex. Hence why I called you foolish and not insolent." Jun replied with disinterest.

"Do you realize what the issue is here?" He then questioned.

"Do any of you?" He made the same question to both Sona, Rias and their peerages.

"Do you understand why both Grayfia and I are so serious in regards to a simple harmless intrusion made out of ignorance and with no ill intent?" Jun added further detail to the question.

"It is because Jun-san needs to set a tone. Right?" Sona was the first to respond.

"Smart as always my dear Sona, You are indeed correct." Jun approved of her answer and left her blushing with a fluttering heart with his compliment.

Seeing her best friend getting praise, a slightly jealous Rias hurried to make a comment as well.

"So basically, various factions and groups are measuring your response and if you show weakness by going easy on Riser, they will see you as a soft target to pick on."

"Quite my beautiful Rias. But why do you think that this particular incident has such a meaning? It's not like no one has ever tried to intrude in this town, with much more nefarious intentions than Riser here at that." Jun quizzed.

The red head took some time to think, closing her eyes with a cute yet sexy expression, Sona realized the crux of the matter and got a nod from Jun out of it while Rias took a few seconds more before reaching the answer.

"Status right?" She inquired.

"That is correct. Riser in someone of status. Regardless of personal opinions, his actions carry more weight than some nobody's and as such, whether I choose to be merciful or merciless, the decision will also be much more meaningful." Jun responded.

By now Riser was deflated. He was arrogant for sure but he wasn't as big of a fool as Jun called him. After all the discussing, he too realized how badly he had screwed up.

'It's not about what I did, but who I did it to and most of all, when.' Riser thought to himself, feeling like smacking his past self for making such a stupid mistake.

"It's not just because of my status right? The most critical matter is that I was the first individual of status to infringe upon your rules." Riser spoke.

"Looks like you're not as foolish as I thought." Jun "praised".

"The reason both Sona and Rias' points go through, is because you were the first. Thus, I must make an example out of you. Considering your attitude of repentance and the minor gravity of your mistake, being merciful would be absolute fine if this was not the first time an infringement was made on my territory." He added.

"Isn't that unfair!?" Finally, a girl from Riser's peerage stepped out and complained with an aggrieved look, being supported by her fellow "sisters" as well. Actually, even Sona, Rias and their respective peerages felt the same.

It was true that a mistake was made but it were unfair circumstances that worsened the punishment that needed to meted out, it having nothing to do with the gravity of said mistake.

In truth, other than Morgan no one really wanted to enact such heavy punishment onto Riser, it was not like they had that big of a grudge. Even Rias who despised him and the arranged marriage set between them by their parents didn't want him dead.

Alas, just when Riser and his cohorts were feeling that things might be turning up for them, Jun shot them down again.

"The world is unfair little girl. And I care little for it unless said unfairness is targeted at me or my girls." Jun said, making everyone other than his wives shocked at such a view.
