Fate: Hero Simulator

Chapter 18: Chapter 18: Hmph~ Trying to Escape?

[3rd POV]

"Even Shinji has no clue? This is troublesome."

Kyouya muttered in frustration.

It's 2003 right now, and it's not easy to search for something online that could resolve any question instantly.

Even in a developed country like Japan, computers weren't everywhere, and Steve Jobs hadn't created smartphones yet.

It was already difficult for him to even get online, let alone search for information on 5th-century Britain.

"There's one thing that's certain, this power is magical energy."

Although the method of use was different and less efficient, Kyouya could indeed feel the magic, and his physical capabilities were also becoming stronger.

"The only problem now is how to utilize this power."

It wasn't just hard work and talent that helped him defeat the Knights of the Round Table.

He also achieved such exaggerated combat performances because of the simulator and shameless techniques for dealing with the Britons.

The only way for him to gain new abilities now was to wait for the next simulation.

Meanwhile, he had to find a way to train his magic power in a way suitable for this era.

"How about going to London and looking for Platform 9¾? No, maybe I should get an owl instead. That way, I can get in touch with Hogwarts."

When it comes to learning magic, Hogwarts is the way to go.

"Hmm? Is that Tohsaka?"

Just as Kyouya was fantasizing about enrolling in Hogwarts, a graceful figure flashed across his field of vision.

It was his classmate, Rin Tohsaka, the top student at Homurahara Academy and widely considered the most beautiful girl.

She was the untouchable crush that Shinji couldn't win over.

Even someone as dense as Shirou Emiya couldn't help but notice her, which already spoke volumes about her charm.

However, what caught Kyouya's attention now was Rin Tohsaka dressed in a red-and-white shrine maiden outfit working at a shrine...?

It was probably a part-time job, but with her popularity, everyone would know about it if she worked especially in such an eye-catching shrine maiden outfit.

"Tohsaka-san, you're working in a place like this?"

"Fujimaru-kun... I didn't expect to run into you of all people!"

Rin's expression immediately changed when she saw him. After all, Kyouya was infamous as the school bully at Homurahara Academy.

Kyouya's debut fight involved taking down Shinji, the previous school bully, and turning him into his errand boy.

Afterward, he single-handedly defeated the Kendo, Judo, and Karate clubs… by himself.

He was truly the God of Bully in Fuyuki City.

Rin could almost hear him say something like, "Tohsaka Rin, you wouldn't want everyone to find out you're working as a shrine maiden, would you?"

If this went on like one of those plots in certain ".avi" videos, it would quickly spiral out of control.

That kind of thing was something she definitely didn't want to happen.

"Even though we don't have any grudges, I'd appreciate it if you could forget about this."

Seeing that there weren't any people around, she quickly decided to use hypnosis magic to erase Kyouya's memory of this incident.

If others found out that the "Miss Homura Hara" of Homurahara Academy was working part-time as a miko or shrine maiden, she wouldn't be able to live in peace in the future.

This was exactly why nobody at school knew about her job as a Miko. She would simply erase their memories and create a slight suggestion to avoid this area in the future.

She thought this would be over in no time, but this time, the magic she had mastered for years failed.

"Did you just try to do something to me?"

Kyouya felt something approach him just now, but it quickly vanished without a trace.

"What... how is this possible?"

Rin was shocked.

Since her father passed away, she had inherited the position of head of the Tohsaka family, and she knew the local magicians very well.

Kyouya should not have been a magus, but now was not the time to dwell on that.

"Gandr."

She gathered magical energy into her hand and fired it at him.

Gandr was a Scandinavian curse. It wasn't deadly, but it could mess with a person's health and effectively subdue an enemy.

What is this thing?

Kyouya had no idea what this glowing orb from her hand was, but he was amazed that someone could shoot light from their hand.

Then... he casually slapped her Gandr magic out of the air.

"I see. The magic resistance is still there, but it's not as strong as it used to be."

Although he possessed the "Divinity," it had only been a few days since his abilities awakened while compared to his former self, Lloyd, who had been awakened for years, Kyouya was still inexperienced.

Luckily, Rin's attack wasn't advanced magic and couldn't cause any harm to him.

"You..."

The fact that an ordinary person was able to slap her Gandr away started to shake Rin's mind.

Faced with an opponent she couldn't understand at all, the best course of action was to retreat.

"Hmph~ You're trying to escape?"

He saw her trying to escape, and there was no way he was going to let her slip away.

He suddenly recalled that Rin had once mentioned at school that she planned to study abroad in London after high school.

At the time, Kyouya had admired her ambition.

Now, it seemed that this person was actually heading for platform 9¾ in London to travel to Hogwarts.

"Hand over your owl to me."

He raised his hand, and a lightning whirlwind struck, blocking her escape route. After all, the Hogwarts acceptance letter only goes to those who deserve it.

A person like Kyouya, both talented and virtuous, would surely be assigned to Gryffindor.

"Hey, you're not planning on exposing magic to the eyes of ordinary people, do you?"

Rin Tohsaka wasn't just some fragile, rich girl.

Over the years, she had not only trained in the Bajiquan with Father Kotomine but also enhanced her body with magic.

However, she never expected to be caught by Kyouya in an instant.

"The Ministry of Magic's rules? Yeah, I've heard of them."

He knew well that magic shouldn't be seen by Muggles, but...

"Sensei, I want to learn magic."

"Magic?"

She looked at him as if he were an idiot.

There were only five known types of magic in the world today, and they were not things anyone could just teach.

"We can't say it in a crowded place? Then let's go somewhere quieter."

He looked at her who was on full alert, and quickly realized that getting her to calmly accompany him to a quiet place was clearly impossible.

Since that was the case...

He quickly appeared behind her, expertly landing a blow to the back of her neck.

"I'm going to sneak attack you."

'You already did.'

Rin thought in her last moments of consciousness.

"A quiet, undisturbed place, huh?"

He picked up the unconscious Rin from the ground and glanced at the love hotel in the distance.

To be continued...
