Farming with Entries: From Lord to Emperor

Chapter 166: Doesn't Like Pancakes (Part 2)

The White Wolf gazed at its cubs, eyes filled with affectionate tenderness.

Luo De was amused by Ola, no, by the White Wolf.

This guy sure is two-faced.

"The esteemed Lord has suddenly come here, you must have something important, right?"

The White Wolf looked at Luo De: "What do you need me to do."

"It's more comfortable chatting with you."

Luo De put down the little wolf Silver Moon, casually brushing off the white fur on his clothes,

"If there wasn't something important, I wouldn't be running this far in such cold weather."

"Let's talk inside, make a fire first, I don't have such thick fur like you guys."

The White Wolf nodded and led Luo De into the depths of the cave along with Luma.

The Guards picked up some dry branches from outside, piled them into a bonfire inside the cave, and withdrew outside after lighting it to stand guard.

The firelight illuminated the rough cave walls, casting silhouettes of those present, the shifting shadows dancing continuously on the walls.

"It's actually not a big deal."

Luo De rubbed his hands as he approached the fire, almost sticking them into the flames.

The White Wolf was slightly surprised by his actions

— The White Wolf knew that only those with a high affinity for flames could get that close, just like it could roam freely on the Icefield Mountain Range.

"But it might be difficult for you, because I need you to leave here for a while to help me conquer those Wilderness Tribes."

Luo De glanced at Luma, who was feeding the little wolf, and turned back, "You might be reluctant to part with your wife."

The White Wolf tilted its wolf head,

"Going to war?"

"If it's a jungle battle, I do have an advantage over ordinary warriors."

As long as it doesn't fall into traps set by Hunters in advance, the White Wolf is confident in taking on a small tribe by itself, especially in nighttime raids.

"No, it's not what you think."

Luo De shook his head,

"I just need you to show your face, your presence will prove my other identity."

Luo De briefly explained to the White Wolf about the Saint Master's identity and the prophecy of Prophet Bai Shuang.

Of course, he omitted the insignificant part that "the Saint Master is a lie."

After listening to the prophecy, the White Wolf instinctively sat up straight, a complex light flickering in its wolf eyes,

"Do you believe in this prophecy?"

"I don't care."

Luo De skewered the jerky on a stick and roasted it over the fire,

"If it benefits me, I believe it; if not, I don't."

Luo De noticed the White Wolf's serious expression, raising his eyebrows, "You don't actually believe it, do you?"

The White Wolf's gaze was unsteady,

"If you really unite the Wilderness Tribes, it might prove this prophecy to be true."

"But then, is the human world really in danger?"

Luo De sighed, looking at the White Wolf with some helplessness,

"You're such a wolf, just now you said you wanted to cut ties with the human world, now you're worried about them again?"

Luo De couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

Count Ola at the end of the day is a person of goodwill, his earlier outbursts were just due to not being able to accept his identity.

Despite having become a giant wolf now, upon hearing the prophecy he still thought about what would happen to humans.

The White Wolf lowered its wolf head, silent.

"If you believe in this prophecy,"

Luo De softly consoled,

"Then whatever you do will only make everything progress as the prophecy predicts.

Doing or not doing is the same, it's better to follow the prophecy and gather the power of me, the Saint Master."

"Of course, if you don't believe in the prophecy, then there's nothing to worry about."

The White Wolf fell into contemplation, nodding only after a long while,

"You're right."

"Then I'll go with Prophet Bai Shuang, just to see if the prophecy is true."

"What about Luma and your children?" Luo De asked.

"Your town is too conspicuous, let them stay here for now."

The White Wolf answered, "Wolves should belong to the forest, they should adapt to this environment."

"Besides, there's no one else coming here, no danger."

"Alright."

Luo De nodded in agreement, "I'll allocate more people to make sure they're safe."

Due to the Alien Race, Luo De had sent many patrols throughout the territory to better understand its status.

"I'll head back to Frost Leaf Town first to wait for you, giving you and your wife some time together."

Luo De stood up, dusting off his clothes.

"I'll send someone to pick you up tomorrow."

The White Wolf nodded, watching Luo De leave the cave.

In Hawkeye Manor.

Baron Harun stared at the letter in his hand, a wry smile dawning on his face.

"Looks like we'll have to cut another piece of flesh this time."

His fingers unconsciously pinched the edge of the letter, producing a slight crinkling sound.

Knight Frank, someone Baron Harun couldn't ignore.

Not only because he lacked experienced knights under him, but because Knight Frank was a banner.

He represented the attitudes of many of the older generation knights of the Hawk Clan, standing for many people's positions and views.

If treated well, this knight could potentially form a significant influence, perhaps more effective than an army.

Though Baron Harun didn't know about a public opinion war, he understood human nature.

Now he's using human nature and rumors to shake the legitimacy of the late Hawk Count's status.

Baron Harun let out a long sigh, slowly handing the letter to his wife Olaya beside him,

"Why is Baron Luo De always so lucky?"

"Why do I feel he's orchestrating everything around him,"

"Always a step ahead of us, always has everything arranged."

"And then uses all these prearranged things to extract profits from us."
