farming life: pokemon

April 3rd, serenity farm off the coast of paldea.

Season: spring

< Journal entry 1>

It's been one month since that night and week with mudsdale in heat.

Mudsdale

Pregnant: 11 months remaining

Yup she's pregnant. The other Pokemon have been a little jealous of her but they know the pecking order. Especially when mudsdale flat out stomped my legendary and pseudo legendary Pokemon in their fights and still can kick their collective asses.

During this month we've harvested the crops and replanted the same ones in different fields so I don't destroy the nutrients cycle of the soil. The crop yield from my level one fields were

Radishes: 50

Turnips: 50

Peas: 500

Cabbage: 25

I've already stored them in containers and will ship them to market soon. We've broken a few of the fieldstone but it was just stone. The apotonoths are in perfect health as well as a new born apotonoth calf the other day. Thankfully my early days on the farm with Gramps has been a good teacher when dealing with births. A newborn girl was introduced into the apotonoths family.

The lynians have helped me expand on the farm building a large shed for tools as well as another shed for them to sleep in. During the month I've also expanded on the farm.

We've used up all the money I got from the inheritance and the lumber I got from Porto marinada last month. Life has been quite since no one has communicated with me on any sudden emergency. Hopefully it stays that way for a while.

I sigh as I lean back from the computer's desktop and close out the journal entry. I stand up and stretch as my Lucario comes over with some breakfast it made wearing a frilly apron and smiles at me. Handing over the cooked cheesey scrambled eggs and toast. " Thanks girl," I say kissing her cheek as she smiles and walks off. I've taught Lucario and Gardevoir how to cook long ago on our journeys and they've gotten as good as professional chefs.

I eat the tasty eggs and toast as I look at the job board for the farm.

I nod at the board and walk outside to see the work done already and my Pokemon playing around or exploring the farms. As I watch them I hear a boat horn and see a small ferry docking at my island. As it docks I see four people get off the boat and walk up the trail to my house. A nurse Joy is carrying a big satchel along with a Chansey, as they're with a young pink haired girl. She's dressed in some rugged nurse Joy outfit that has a pokeball with a small cross on the shoulder. The second woman are a officer Jenny and a girl that looks like a younger version of her dressed in a more rugged officer uniform with a shoulder patch depicting a shield and a pokeball.

' academy interns' I think remembering my days as a ranger. I walk out to them and greet them.

" Hello there, welcome to serenity farms, what brings you here?" I ask honestly puzzled.

The nurse Joy steps forward and introduces herself," Hello, I'm nurse armia Joy of the Joy clan and this is my little sister grace, we're here as a permanent guest according to the Pokemon league. I hope they sent the message."

" Much like nurse Joy I'm also sent by the league as a permanent guest according to the Pokemon league. My name is Kaya Jenny of the Jenny clan and this is my daughter katara." Says the officer Jenny as the two interns nod greetings at me.

I scratch my neck trying to remember any email or letters I've received but none have come.

" Sorry I don't know of any letters or emails from the league so you actually came without notice," I say as my rotom phone dings. Picking it up I read the new email.

Dear Mr obsidian,

We of the league feel that due to the sheer size of the islands you've come to own. We the league have made arrangements for a full-time nurse Joy and officer Jenny to stay with you on your residence as permanent guests as well as any intern they choose to bring.

The ranger union is also sending another veteran ranger, a rookie ranger and a top communicater to stay on the island as well. Your account has been filled with a sum of a billion poke Dollars to go towards the farm and future townships the island grows. The Pokemon League has also shipped several tonnes of lumber and stone to the farm for future expansions.

I sigh putting up the phone and glad that the house has four other bedrooms.

" Come on in and pick out a room that you'd like. If you need anything just let me know and I'll see what I can do." I say walking inside the house with them following me.
