Chapter 103: Embuse by the Black Wolf Guild
"100 million. I want it."
Feng Yun's words cut through the murmurs of the crowd, his voice calm and unwavering. To others, this was madness—buying a treasure you didn't need at four times the price? Only a lunatic would dare to do such a thing.
And that lunatic was standing right in front of them.
"Are you crazy?"
Hu Xian'er's beautiful eyes widened in disbelief, her voice laced with concern. She had expected everything in this chaotic auction to unfold, but this move by Feng Yun was something entirely different. It wasn't about power or prestige—this was pure self-will.
"Boy, are you serious?" The man in black, the one who had controlled the Spirit Soul Ember, was the first to react. The offer was almost too good to believe. The Spirit Soul Ember would normally fetch no more than 25 million spirit stones. But here, Feng Yun was offering 100 million.
That kind of windfall was unimaginable. Even for someone like the man in black, who was an expert among experts, such an amount was nearly impossible to come by.
Despite the obvious absurdity of the offer, there was something unsettling about Feng Yun's calm demeanour. The man in black couldn't quite figure it out, but he could feel that Feng Yun was no fool.
"Here it is," Feng Yun said, tossing a storage ring into the air. It glowed with a faint but unmistakable aura.
The man in black caught it easily, his fingers brushing against its surface. Without hesitation, he glanced inside the ring with his divine sense.
"100 million..."
The shock on the black-robed man's face was palpable. The storage ring in his hand verified the vast fortune contained within. He had been prepared to haggle or even refuse, but this was no mere bluff. The spirit stones were real. And they were right there.
"I've never seen a young man this rich," one of the onlookers whispered. Others murmured in disbelief.
Feng Yun's actions were so bold that even the most expert couldn't help but take a step back. The spirit stones were irresistible. To the man in black, this was an opportunity beyond any he had imagined. 80 million extra—this wasn't just a transaction; it was a windfall.
"Fine." The black-robed man laughed darkly. "You're a smart one, but remember this: Spirit Soul Ember isn't something you can easily use."
Feng Yun didn't even flinch. "I'll make do."
With the transaction complete, the Spirit Soul Ember was safely placed into the space ring, and the 100 million spirit stones were transferred. The black-robed man gave a rare, approving nod.
"Good boy," he said with a grin. "You have a backbone. I'll respect that."
In a blink, the man in black disappeared into the shadows, leaving behind a trail of smoke and a hushed silence in his wake.
"Pay with one hand, deliver with the other," Feng Yun said with a carefree smile, walking past the remaining guests.
"Are you leaving? It is dangerous." Hu Xian'er said upon seeing he was leaving the Immortal Fairy Pavilion. "Some people will come after you."
"Good, I am counting on that." Feng Yun gave her a mysterious smile and left.
The Crazy Sword Master had watched the exchange from a distance, his fury barely contained. He would've gladly attacked, but the space ring made things tricky—forceful robbery wasn't an option unless the victim willingly opened it.
The guests were already moving in different directions, and despite the heated atmosphere, there was little they could do to stop Feng Yun. The Spirit Soul Ember was his.
"Boy, you have many spirit stones." Just as he stepped out of the Immortal Fairy Pavilion. A cold voice sounded from behind.
Feng Yun looked back; it turned out they were members of the Black Wolf Guild led by Black Tiger.
The Black Plain city didn't care about rules, and there were no guarantees for personal safety once you stepped outside.
Feng Yun turned and gave them a look—calm, unfazed. "What? Do you want to try and attack me?"
Black Tiger wasn't finished. "Hand over the seventh-level inner alchemy you have and the sword.
Feng Yun smiled. "You think you can threaten me with that? Do you really think I'll just hand it over?"
His eyes flickered as he sensed a growing tension in the air.
At that moment, the Crazy Sword Master stepped forward, his footsteps slow but deliberate. His voice was thick with admiration, but there was a hint of amusement in it too. "You're something else, boy. Making the entire guild your enemies as soon as you arrive."
He let out a low chuckle. "You've made a lot of enemies. So, what if I help you with them? In exchange for that Spirit Soul Ember you just bought, of course."
Feng Yun raised an eyebrow. "A deal, huh?" His expression remained unchanged. "You really think I need your help?"
The Crazy Sword Master's grin widened. "Oh, I don't think you need it. But if you want to survive, you might want it. The Black Wolf Guild is much stronger than you think."
Feng Yun chuckled. "If you want the Spirit Soul Ember, then follow me. But be warned—if something happens to me, you won't get a single shard of it."
Feng Yun wasn't scared, but he knew the rules of Chaotic City. When a major force wanted you dead, it wasn't about might—it was about strategy.
"Take it easy, old man," Feng Yun added with a mischievous grin. "This isn't over yet."
The tension was thick, and everyone was watching carefully, waiting for the next move.
...
A crowd gathered to watch the show; one side was the strongest guild, while on the other side was a rising star. They were curious to see what would happen. Would Feng Yun pull out a round trump card just like last time?
Or there are people to save him.
There were two women watching all of this from a distance; one was young and the other one was a mature lady.
"Mother, you have to help him; he saved my life in the secret realm. I was able to obtain the inheritance only because of him." The young woman had a worried expression and said so while tugging the hand of the mature woman.
"Why are you so anxious? Can't you wait for a few moments?" The mature woman said. She chuckled, "What is it? Has my little angel fallen for him? He is charming though."
