Fairy Tale: With Sin Of Pride

Chapter 110: Chapter 94: Fairy Tale!

Rhodes stepped forward, his hand gently lifting Yulia's chin. His gaze softened as he leaned closer, his voice calm yet resolute.

"Don't worry, I'll be back soon."

With a relaxed smile on his lips, he turned and walked away, his figure gradually fading into the distance.

Yulia stood there, watching the spot where he disappeared. Her eyes lingered, unreadable emotions swirling within.

"Where did he go?" Snow White's soft voice broke the silence.

"I don't know," Yulia replied, her tone calm but distant. Without another word, she turned and headed back toward the palace.

She knew that blaming Snow White for the chaos would be pointless. What mattered now was trust. If Rhodes said he would return, he would return.

---

In the heart of a vibrant forest, Rhodes adjusted the simple civilian garb he wore and glanced skyward. The sun shone brightly, its warmth a mere shadow of the power he once wielded.

His body now felt alien. Though vastly stronger than the average person, his once-limitless magic and divine power had faded—replaced by an uncomfortable ordinariness.

"Quite the downgrade," he muttered, his voice carrying a hint of self-mockery. The reason for his weakened state? Time itself.

His powers, forged in a future thousands of years ahead, had no place in this ancient past. Like a paradox walking among mortals, Rhodes existed in a time where his power had no foundation.

The rules of causality tolerated his presence but stripped him of his strength. His return to the future would restore it all—but here and now, he was merely a shadow of his true self.

Still, all was not lost. The rewards from his daily sign-ins were proving invaluable.

---

One such prize was Super Healing, a magical ability derived from ancient Druidic bloodlines. It could restore even the gravely injured across an entire city to perfect health. However, it lacked offensive utility—an unfortunate limitation in a world brimming with conflict.

He'd also acquired a treasure more potent than the Sin of Gluttony: an artifact imbued with thousands of spells. It was a compendium of magic, containing everything from devastating spells capable of razing nations to obscure, esoteric curses.

But even with such tools at his disposal, Rhodes found himself hamstrung. Without sufficient magical energy, the most powerful spells in the artifact were out of his reach.

"I really miss the infinite magic blessings from the future," he sighed wistfully, his gaze drifting to the twinkling stars overhead.

---

This was the dawn of the Age of Gods. Ten thousand years before the divine pantheon would solidify its dominance, stealing faith and ascending to their celestial thrones.

The ancient gods—the malevolent ones banished to chaos, and the indifferent ones, like the Old Sunskin Matcher—had been overthrown. After countless battles, the emerging gods now ruled over a fragile world.

But this era was still young. The stars of the divine constellation were few, and the gods' domains far from absolute.

Among them, the most powerful entities were the main gods of various races: the Elf Gods, the Beast Gods, the Dragon Gods. These deities wielded power greater than even the God of Radiance or the God of Darkness.

And yet, Death itself remained absent.

In this era, necromancers, liches, and death warlocks ran rampant, exploiting souls and twisting life into abominable forms. Without the stabilizing hand of the God of Death, the balance of life and death was left unchecked.

"Though I hate to admit it, the emergence of the God of Death did bring much-needed order to the world," Rhodes mused aloud.

In the centuries to come, death magic would be nearly eradicated, and the souls of mortals would find peace in the Death God's domain. It was no wonder the God of Death became one of the most revered deities.

---

Rhodes' reflections were interrupted by the sound of voices.

"Did you hear? The orcs attacked another village yesterday."

"Those green-skinned beasts! Why do they keep tormenting us?"

"It's because humans are weak," another villager spat bitterly. "Dragons and trolls treat us as nothing more than food."

Rhodes walked past them, his expression unreadable. He didn't blame the villagers for their anger. In this era, humanity was barely surviving.

Elves, orcs, trolls—nearly every other race viewed humans as prey or slaves. Without the divine protection of certain gods and their overwhelming reproductive capabilities, humans would have perished long ago.

Even so, humans were far from thriving. In the eyes of most monsters, they were little more than livestock.

"Hard to believe this is what humanity started as," Rhodes muttered, shaking his head.

The top human combatants of this time were either corrupt sorcerers who dabbled in forbidden arts or hybrid abominations born from the union of humans and monsters.

Such hybrids often despised their human heritage, many even preying on ordinary humans. This fractured identity only deepened humanity's plight.

It was no wonder that, in the distant future, humans would rise with a vengeance, wiping out or driving back nearly all hostile races. The arrogant elves would retreat to their forests, while the savage orcs would be pushed to barren lands. Trolls and ogres, once predators, would become relics of the past.

Yet, as he observed the current state of the world, Rhodes couldn't help but wonder:

How had humanity risen at all?

Every race seemed insurmountably stronger. Orcs alone could wipe out entire villages with ease, and the greater threats—dragons, giants, and gods—loomed like insurmountable mountains.

"It's a miracle," he said under his breath. "A true high-level game of survival."

A small smirk played on his lips. "If I had even half of my power, these monsters wouldn't stand a chance."

---

As the forest around him grew quieter, Rhodes glanced at his system panel. A thought struck him.

"Maybe it's time to change the check-in point," he murmured.

He'd already gleaned incredible rewards from his current location. Perhaps a new setting would yield even greater surprises.

---

[Ding! Do you wish to change your bound random check-in location?]

"Yes," Rhodes confirmed without hesitation.

[Ding! Binding completed. New check-in location: Fairy Tail World Spoon.]

Rhodes grinned, his anticipation growing.

"Let's see what kind of treasures this world holds."
