Fairy Tail: Strongest Creature

Chapter 91: Top Floor

Chapter 91: Top Floor

After a few minutes…

"8 votes for, 1 against. According to this outcome, it is decided to launch an attack on the Tower of Heaven with Etherion."

"Fire Etherion in half an hour!! Go prepare!!"

Before long, many people in the Magic Council began their preparations. Etherion required control and fusion by many wizards, and it needed powerful magic crystals to provide the necessary energy. Essentially, Etherion was a fusion of many different magics, releasing a terrifying power in the end.

"This moment has finally arrived. Lord Siegrain, your eight-year wish is coming true," Ultear said from behind Siegrain.

"This is partly thanks to Su Yan. He made those cowardly old geezers realize how terrifying a true pinnacle-level mage can be, so they gladly voted in favor."

"Yes."

"I'll leave this to you for now. I should go too—someone will be 'knocking on the door' soon."

"Then I wish you luck, Lord Siegrain—no, Lord Jellal."

A certain floor of the Tower of Heaven…

"Quick! Quick! Quick!"

"Salamander's Wing Attack!"

"Wow ah ah!"

"Wow ah ah!"

Natsu tore through the guards, rescuing many people along the way.

"Salamander! Slow down a bit! Don't use up all your magic power!" Simon advised Natsu. Worthy of being Fiore's famed Salamander, his strength was indeed great.

But Simon knew Jellal had placed these guards to sap their stamina and magic so they wouldn't have enough energy when finally confronting him.

"It doesn't matter! I've got to beat Jellal before Su Yan and Erza do! Otherwise I'll have nothing left to do!"

Erza and Su Yan were both monsters, and Natsu wanted the bragging rights of having defeated the final boss first.

Suddenly, a figure dashed around the corner and crashed into Natsu's body.

"Ooof—!"

Natsu tumbled backward several times.

"The Righteous Warrior… Fukuro is here!!"

Natsu looked up at the voice, seeing a creature with an owl's head and a human's body.

"It's a bird—! The bird is talking about justice or something—!" Natsu and Happy seemed intrigued.

Simon recognized him and turned pale: "Who is this guy?!"

"Not good!! Come with me!! We can't fight that one!!"

Simon quickly unleashed magic.

"Dark Moment!!"

A dark light spread from Simon's body, shrouding the area in pitch-black darkness.

"Whoa! It's so dark!"

Simon grabbed Natsu, trying to pull him away.

Suddenly, the owl-faced figure appeared beside Simon: "Oooo hoo!"

"A warrior of justice can walk freely in the darkness."

"Jus-tiiiice—ooo!!"

Fukuro's fist gathered magic power and blasted Simon with a shock wave.

"Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!"

Simon was sent flying, severely injured and coughing blood.

"No, I didn't expect him to be so strong. The Death's Head Caucus…!"

"Assassination guild?!" Happy was startled.

Simon explained: "They're one of the dark guilds, doing no honest work—only assassinations. Among them, the squad known as Trinity Raven is said to have assassinated all the Western generals during the cabria war."

"They're professional killers!! We can't fight them!!"

Fukuro clenched his fists: "Salamander, your infamous name has already spread to our guild! We warriors of justice will destroy evil today!!"

Natsu flared up, anger burning in his eyes. "A guild is a place where everyone's dreams and beliefs come together, not some tool for evil. It pisses me off that there's even a job like assassination—and that people commission it. And it really ticks me off that you call it a 'guild' and brag about it!"

"Stop it!! Salamander, don't mess with an assassination guild!! They're too dangerous!!"

"Huh? They're the truly dangerous ones, daring to provoke Fairy Tail. A job like assassination makes me sick, and a client who requests it is worse. Advertising this as a guild is disgusting!"

"Because you make me angry, I'm gonna beat you up!! You stinking bird!!"

With that, Natsu charged forward to fight.

The top floor of the Tower of Heaven…

"Bang dang!" The door of the top hall opened, revealing two figures: Sho and Erza, who had raced straight here.

"Jellal!!!" Sho shouted in anger.

"Ah, Sho and Erza? I assumed you'd be the first to arrive," Jellal said calmly.

"Jellal, tell me the truth! Did you really betray everyone?!"

Jellal smiled. "Betrayal? That's not betrayal, just domination. I have the greater power and the smarter mind, so I ruled over you."

"Jellal! You b*****d!! I'm gonna kill you!!"

Sho hurled several cards at Jellal. Jellal raised his hand, releasing dark energy that shot down all the cards.

"I'm the one who had you taught that magic, so I know it best. It's good for trapping people, but weak in a head-on fight. I only let you learn it so you'd bring Erza here. The process differed slightly from my plan, but you still carried out your duty. Now you have no further use—disappear!"

With that, Jellal fired a dark wraith of magic at Sho. Sho paled, trying to resist or dodge, but it was too late.

"La la la—!"

A slash of light flashed, cutting down the dark spirits Jellal had unleashed.

"Sister…"

Erza glared at Jellal. "Is it that amusing to deceive those who trust you and toy with people's lives?"

Jellal laughed. "It's fascinating. Life and death gather all emotions—the source of everything. As for those who were deceived, they only have themselves to blame for being stupid, right?"
