Fairy Tail: Strongest Creature

Chapter 113: Let's Fight

Chapter 113: Let's Fight

From Freed's point of view, the gap between himself and Su Yan was all too clear. Throughout this entire battle—he and Bickslow had attacked Su Yan repeatedly, unleashing their strongest magic. Yet they were the ones battered and drained. Meanwhile, Su Yan didn't even look like he'd warmed up.

"It doesn't matter that I know we can't stop you," Freed said, summoning more magic power. "I'll still give it everything for Laxus!"

He raised both hands, conjuring a sphere of dark energy between them.

Su Yan's gaze hardened. "Even knowing Laxus has gone too far, you're still following him down this path?" Around Su Yan, purple Conqueror's Haki gathered into the shape of a giant fist.

"Dark Light Bullet!!"

Freed hurled the black energy bomb at Su Yan. In response, Su Yan threw his own Haki-formed fist. The two attacks clashed midair, sending out crackling black-red sparks.

Boom!!!

Su Yan's Haki fist shattered Freed's Dark Light Bullet and continued, slamming into Freed.

"Waaaahhh!!"

Freed screamed as he was flung back in a high arc, crashing into the large bell of Cardia Cathedral.

Duang–!!!

A deafening ring echoed throughout Magnolia. Freed's demonic transformation dissolved, and he collapsed, badly injured.

Meanwhile…

Laxus's massive thunderbolt struck the ground where Natsu lay, detonating in a violent explosion. The earth broke apart under the impact.

"Hahahaha!! Natsu, tell me now—who's the strongest in Fairy Tail? Did that blast leave nothing but dust behind so you can't answer?! Hahahaha!"

Suddenly, a calm voice replied, "I don't know who's the strongest, but I do know it's definitely not you."

Laxus froze, turning to see Su Yan standing where Natsu had been. Natsu lay at Su Yan's feet, clearly protected from the attack. The thunderbolt must have been intercepted by Su Yan.

"Tsk, Su Yan… You finally showed up."

"Yeah, here I am. You wanted this showdown with me so badly that you staged this entire guild brawl, didn't you?"

Laxus let out a harsh laugh. "I wanted you to see how fake everyone's talk of 'companions' is. People are selfish by nature—look at them all! For their own ends, they fight each other. Is that what you call a family? Look how Fairy Tail's reputation is in shambles, mocked by trash guilds! You see it, don't you?! This guild is weak and pathetic!"

He clenched his fists. "I'm going to change it, become the strongest mage here, and inherit Fairy Tail. Then I'll kick out all the losers like them! I'll make Fairy Tail the mightiest guild in history!"

Su Yan's voice was quiet: "Are you finished?"

"What?"

"You can't justify hurting your own guildmates just by ranting about 'the weak.'"

Laxus's lips curled in a feral grin. "Those losers aren't my guildmates anyway! The weak don't deserve to be my companions. As for you, you can't talk sense into me. So let's do this—showdown time! I've wanted this for years. Starting today, I take Fairy Tail's strongest throne!"

Boom!!

Golden lightning wrapped around Laxus, flickering like a Super Saiyan aura. In response, a dark-red glow suffused Su Yan's body—his Armament-like Haki, swirling around him, boosting defense and offense.

Boom—!!

Laxus shot forward, a living bolt of lightning, smashing his fist at Su Yan. Su Yan stepped in to meet him with a punch of his own.

Their collision rocked the cathedral, shattering the floor under their feet.

"Instant Shock!" Laxus conjured a spear of lightning in his free hand and launched it at Su Yan.

Su Yan batted the lightning bolt aside, and it blasted a hole in the cathedral wall.

"Instant Snap!" Laxus transformed his body into lightning, repositioning himself in midair behind Su Yan.

"Furious Volt!!"

A concentrated burst of electricity hammered down at Su Yan. The floor broke to pieces beneath the crackling energy.

"Om—!"

At the same moment, Su Yan unleashed Conqueror's Haki, repelling Laxus and throwing him bodily into a giant statue.

Crack!

Laxus crashed through the statue, destroying it, but stood again, apparently unharmed. Su Yan flicked some dust from his shoulder.

"Looks like you've been training," Su Yan said mildly.

The two men squared off in the wreckage of Cardia Cathedral, each powered up and ready for the real fight.
